I like a knife that's built well enough to take apart. Not that I take them apart often, but it speaks to the quality of the build. When I look at this knife I see a gimmick that allows you to access the bearings easily, but at what quality cost in the long run. The pivot tension seems non adjustable; what happens when it wears? Plus, the quick release mechanism itself looks like something that will need servicing and how well does that go back together? The design is nice, though; reminds me of the Laconico Keen.
Ok, good review. First responders, construction workers would welcome a knife that field strips easily. Urban Search and Rescue Members would welcome that feature. Trust me.
Is field strip interesting? Sure. Is it worth 50-60 bucks to me to have it easy open? No. I have so many knives I barely need to bother sharpening them much less cleaning them out in the middle of my day. If the field strip was a freebie, I'd pick one up for the gimmick on one of the designs I like.
Meh. Have two of the old field strip knives, better aesthetics and system on the old field strip. Mine have consistent centering and come apart and reassemble easily. Field strip is best for outdoors applications more than anything.
If it didn’t have the field strip technology it would be the CJRB Ria. At least by appearance.

Now that is a Nick Shabazz worthy title.
If you use it daily for your lunch.....it would be perfect! Finally a knife you can clean thorougly every day after cutting food.
Well thought out, well stated & well done!

I would almost rather have the knife WITHOUT the field strip tech.

Only reason I haven't bought it is the blade steel.

Not worth it imo; I have canned air and 3-1 lube.
