got a229plus 2 channel on May 2024. Great purchase...Thank god didn't go with Blackvue or any other overhyped cameras. I realised Viofo is pretty good and offer great price. Wires are long and managed to tuck in the roof of my 2024 rav4...Great camera quality in day and night..Can see registration plates clearly in night as well..The new rav4's strong LED lights may be helping as well😊 Easy to operate...App is good...though it can utilise full screen in phone to show front and back cameras separately instead of showing in PIP ( picture in picture) otherwise great app. The instructions on wires is so thoughtful, it shows how much care Viofo team has taken as per user perspective.
is there a way to have the camera auto download its footage when it connects to a wi-fi network? Or live download footage to a secondary smartphone while the vehicle is in operation?
mate...just 5 buttons on the device to figure out😅 Use mic and rec buttons to go up and down. They have arrows shown on them too...I got all my doubts cleared from this video....Agree your point that they should have shown in video anyway
It’s not that difficult lmao. These are some of the best cameras on the market. The dash cam companies are limited by what sony and other corporations produce.
VIOFO, please let the front camera record @ 60 FPS in "Automatic HDR" mode during the time period when HDR is off! Becuase now 60 fps are only possible, if HDR is turned off completely. Also, please rename "Automatic HDR" to "HDR Timer" or something, cuz it's misleading. Auto HDR would mean it would turn on automatically, depending on lighting situation!
Technically, its operating temperature is between -20°C ~65°C. However, in hot weather conditions, the temperature inside the car's cabin can rise significantly higher than that of outside, which may exceed this designed range. But there is a protection mechanism inside, so it will turn off automatically when it is too hot to protect the machine.
@@ViofoDashcamOfficial So I can expect it won't work well in parking mode as the temperature may exceed the design range but while driving when aircon is there, there shouldn't be any problem.
Hi. Can you please quantify the sensitivity of motion detection? I mean how far can it detect motion if sensitivity is set to low, medium and high? My current setting is motion detection is set to low and parking g-sensor is set to high. It seemed to have not stopped recording since I left the car parked.
Do you mean that you have put the file into the DCIM folder? Please do not put it into the folder, the file shall be pasted to the root of the card. Make sure not to rename the file when you paste. It's better to place the dashcam in upper left corner (the dark spot area) in actual installation so it might be more neat than it looks in this video shooting :)
@@ViofoDashcamOfficial of course it will look better without that static sticker. You have a great zone with black dots on the windshield in your car and that is the best area to mount the dashcam. Also the static sticker is visible from outside of the car and instead of a neat installation the result is an ugly install.

U3,000 is supplied with one of those and is a adas has driver safety Lane change collision warning and other. This is not available and is necessary to have on a camera on the windshield. Hey VIOFO, how do you release the quick release GPS mount? I didn't know the head unit and the mount were 2 separate pieces.
Just slide the main unit to the right to unlock and the the other way to lock it onto the mount.
@@jagboy69 will it rip it off your windshield trying to unclip it from the mount? Thats what I'm worried about, it being too difficult.

I'm placing some white vinyl on the outside of the glass to give it a little shade. Hope it works.

Except for English, it also supports Chinese, Japanese, and Russian.

I just installed mine with micro sd in it but it wont turn on! My old dashcam was working just fine what would be the problem?
Did you plug in the USB port? I just use my laptop. Once on it will have some prompts and format the card.
My viofo became blurred after 2 years of use. support said that nothing can fix it. Better affordable alternatives are widely available in the market.

@@vijayp1436 Getunwoke has never dealt with gopro's app. Now that app is utter GARBAGE! The A229 isn't the worst I've seen.
@@vijayp1436 I found it easy to use. You can even change the WiFi password which is impossible with the hardware.
