THE HISTORY OF CORINTH. The canal is 6.4 km long and only 25 meters wide
The Canal crosses the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf. And so, the Peloponnese was cut off from the mainland and literally turned into an island!
