Every single year I wait for this, I have a big respect not only for Your recommendations (some films changed my life) but for the editing, more perfect every time (it was great to witness your evolution). The images and music you choose stays with me all year long, it looks like we have similar taste in cinematography, themes and acting (I hope Tilda, the best living actress works for decades). Thanks man, and a big hug from Argentina, enjoy your first Christmas Tree :D
Take a bow, sir. Thank you so much for this. Never fails to bring me to tears. This is a wonderful celebration of cinema. As always you add titles I need to see in the near future.
Have you seen Your Name? I'm super excited for that one (and Moana that didn't release in my country until now), but for now my choice would also be Kubo.
Sure, the plot itself is pretty straight, but there are some metaphors and symbols that deepens it quite a bit. I would also say, the film's strengths are definitely the visuals, but the story was good and had a very beautiful ending. It's not quite as dense or relevant as Zootopia but it's FAR deeper than an average animation film!!!
I'm currently working on piecing together my own top films, and I must say that this will greatly inspire it. Amazing films I haven't even considered or watched! I'm gonna work my way through some of these before finalising the movies I've chosen. What a wonderful video. Well done!
Great list! Here are some of my favourites this year that didn't appear on yours: Paterson Edge of Seventeen Arrival Doctor Strange Under the Shadow Creative Control 10 Cloverfield Lane Your Name Love and Friendship Hell or High Water
I heard "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" today, and it made me think to check if you posted 2016 yet. 😂 Very nice work as always, and I say that as a nearly lifelong Warcraft fan.
Can someone list the intro films? Glad to see Amy in Arrival and Chastain in Miss Sloane. And thank you David for reminding me of how much I love Cat Power!
Incredible stuff as always! Loved every one of your videos since 2011! I've watched them all multiple times! Just rewatched em all again before seeing this one. Could someone tell me what was the movie at the very end with the woman saying "WTF?!"
Darth Plagas Idk if this is just a joke about the taste but he is a critic for Indiewire, he's also worked for quite a few other publications in the past
Hi Sir, this is like my first comment on youtube in this year, I generally do not comment but I am commenting to only tell that Sir you have got to be somewhere else, somewhere bigger than this(i am not saying youtube is a small place though), your editing is class apart!! Keep up the good work. And one more thing is that why The Accountant could not make it to the list? I haven't seen it though, just curious. Thanks

Me too!
i keep coming back to this one. the music selection, the editing, it all comes together perfectly
Take a bow, sir. Thank you so much for this. Never fails to bring me to tears. This is a wonderful celebration of cinema. As always you add titles I need to see in the near future.
Wonderful work as always David, fantastic music too
I second that wholeheartedly.
God, this is perfect.
there's actually a terrible error that i'm too lazy to fix at the 6:48 mark, but thanks all the same!
Hey David! Your video inspired me to create my own version. It'd be awesome if you could check it out. Just posted it on my channel. Thanks!
Accidental end frame left in?
David Ehrlich Is the error putting The Witch too low?
The four little girls dancing at 6:50 is either from some other movie or the cut at 6:48 is strangely abrupt.
As always the editing in this is fantastic. Loved the list too!
Phenomenal....Thanks a lot David.....
great video. pleasure to watch. info on film credits should be added though
better than youtube rewind
Thank You David. That is the best edited list that I have ever seen
Patiently awaiting a 2017 version
Kubo was easily the best animated film of the year. Glad to see it made your list!
Have you seen Your Name? I'm super excited for that one (and Moana that didn't release in my country until now), but for now my choice would also be Kubo.
Moana was really good, but Kubo I thought was masterclass. And I really want to see Your Name, but it's not getting any showtimes around my area.
Apparently the plot is below average. That put me off going to see it. Went to see Moana instead.
Jakob Sanchez Zootopia was better
Mesmerizing visual and music selection
I love this videos. Huge congrats, David.

Danny Steur Critic screening started for it like a week ago
he is just guessing , this guy isn't a critic, look the list..
Darth Plagas Idk if this is just a joke about the taste but he is a critic for Indiewire, he's also worked for quite a few other publications in the past
must be a critic for the VMA's ...
When are you putting out 2017's list? I look for it everyday!
Never agree with list, but it`s great as always, thank you!
p.s Sadly, no Cave`s theme from Lobster...or at least Farrel`s cover!
Awesome! all types of feelings
Please make another for 2017 I’m so ready
This is beautiful
great video
Very good job on the list. The Lobster is a 2015 release however.
Beautiful!
Little disappointed that this didn't have a shot of Frances McDormand as an editor in Hail, Caesar!
Maybe a little too obvious?
If you list the movies in the description that would be great.
This whole video is on point.
Bravo!
thanks
Can you list the intro too please?
that`s a perfect montage
What are the movies that were shown but not on the list?

Does this count as educational use?
