    Why changing the frame? Isn't the v4 lighter??

    • @InfinityLoops
      @InfinityLoops 2 года назад +10

      Yes, the weight for the v4 is 5.4g,
      the v3 is 5.5g.
      But i've never broken a v3 frame.
      I bought a Moblite7 when they came out, flew it for review and loved it. But the frame didn't hold up long with my indoor abuse. I swapped to the v4 and had better luck, but still broke at the duct supports after a few good hardwood crashes. The v3 I haven't been able to break yet.

      Or try the mobula v2 frame weighs 4.2 grams. This is what I use, in black.

      If I was going for lightweight, that would be a great option. But I'm going for durability and the v2 is very fragile.

    • @InfinityLoops

      I started off with a Mobula7 on 2s as my first whoop and loved it. I switched to 1s and just found it more convenient for me. Charge 10x 1s batts and get 5 flights on 2s or 10 flights on 1s. Also, i found the crashes less catastrophic on 1s 😂

    I have a very similar build. I put 1.25mm jst plugs off the Diamond f4 so motor change out is quicker. I also didn’t realize you could squeeze those motors through. I also put an on/off switch on the 5v wire of my rx. That way you can update the firmware. Those boards won’t go into dfu with an rx soldered on.
    I fly the happymodel 25000kv on tri blade gem fans and it’s great.

    I'm not sure if you've tried the Happymodel V4 frame, but it's actually really solid. It was the one you discarded from the BNF. I know the V3 frame kinda it originally came with sucked, but the V4 seems bulletproof to me. I don't freestyle as hard as you, but I've crashed it pretty hard doing indoor racing and you wouldn't know it. I had a Mob6 FC with the EP2 tucked underneath like yours, no extra grommets needed. And the battery bay is designed for 1S, so no rubber band needed.
