Heard somewhere in the middle of a deep forest : "Honey ... I looked everywhere in my backpack and I can't find the retro high carbon steel multi hand forged hunting outdoor camping survival straight folding combination tool knife... Do you have it in your bag ?" "Last time I saw the retro high carbon steel multi hand forged hunting outdoor camping survival straight folding combination tool knife, it was on the kitchen table just before we left. I thought you would grab it...". "Oh well... I guess we'll have to manage without the retro high carbon steel multi hand forged hunting outdoor camping survival straight folding combination tool knife.".
LOL! absolutely love it! Just had an email response from the manufacturers... They say they have targeted the rather niche market of 'People who are fans of film props, who spend alot of time playing warcraft, while not being particularly concerned for their own safety, and eat alot of soft vegetables' - True story... :-)
That was funny Andy, as a retired knife maker i thought that a ridicules knife but whoever thought up the mechanism must be quite clever, would thought they would put their talent to better use 😊 thanks for sharing it, i liked the sound affects as well look forward to the next one 👍
That's the best knife in a survival situation if that's the only one you have. Moral of the story: make sure that's not the one you have. Thanks for sharing, keep up the good work!
And now a more serious note : I do actually carry a pair of pruning shears (or a sécateur as the french call it) in the field for two reasons. One is to snip a few branches out ouf the way with as little noise as possible to clear my field of view on an animal. The other is to cut out some branches to get through a log jam too high to clamber over with the canoe doing as little damage as I can to that log jam as they're important elements in river ecology.
LOL. A tactical Bottle opener/Vegetable slicer. Thank God you got your beer open. Thanks for sharing this is definitely an unusually ridiculous design.
Kent is the man !!!! I cant stop watching his videos always beyond expectations and your one of the reason I started me own channel cant wait to see what you got coming up next
Andy, thanks for the fun video! Thanks also for saving us all 16 pounds. "Ridiculous" is right! it is amazing how many things are labelled "survival" or "tactical" that are just pieces of junk. Thanks again for another fun video!
Great video! Would love to see more reviews like this. Particularly from Aliexpress, as they ship worldwide (still relevant to those of us camping in outback Australia!) Keep it up man
What a coincidence! I have "retro high carbon steel multi hand forged hunting outdoor camping survival straight folding combination tool knife" tattooed on my back!
That is hilarious bro! 😂😂...This contraption is clearly across a Mad Max and Inspector Gadget of a tool. Goodness the entertainment that you bring us. lol...Atleast you seem to had fun with it. 👍🏼😅
Have you used the solar tube cookers yet? curious how well they work i have never heard anything bad yet. As far as the knife maybe for gutting and skinning but the rest looked like a struggle
Great video. You were honest and used it for a lot of different things to test it. I agree, I don't think it would be a good knife to depend on... Thanks for sharing.
Some engineers can't resist fiddling with things. They tried to actually turn some pruners into a knife. Ruined a good set of pruners, they did. Too bad. Guess it will be a chore to keep the site neat and tidy
hahhaaaa hahaha at 10:47 he laughs at the stupidity of himself cutting carrots . I have tears rolling on my cheek I keep rewinding his laughter ...... re edited I kept rewinding that 10:47 little did I know there was 45 secs of poring tears to follow that time. I lost it ...so funny
So basically instead of easily cutting vegetables with an actual knife, the manufacturer wants you to spend about ten seconds fiddling around with the "tool" to turn it into some kind of weird vegetable cutter? I think I'll pass. ;)
El Croc - that curve by the tip would make a reasonable section of blade for skinning & processing hides. ....so gut hook, skinning blade & bottle opener..... but only if we junk the secateur bits & improv a new handle for it🙄🤠👍❗️
Great vid! For me I think that survival knife is more for show and tell rather than for survival(or for collector's item). It is cool nonetheless, but I think I'll stick with my simple knife and sheath.
You're right, this thing is absolutely ridiculous! I think they intend to sell it primarily to the U.S. - you don't sell any tool to them without a cap lifter - lol Surprisingly well hardened blade though.
When you read the text on the box it sounds as if this might well be another of these things translated from chinese into engish by an eskimo with his mitts on. And lo and behold, there's no corkscrew on it as far as I can see. Bloody useful to undo knots in strings, corkscrews are...
A bottle opener and a cord-cutter are totally useless, as every knife does the job. The most important function is missing: The Flyswatter is a must. I would never buy a knife without it.🙂
I'm just about speechless, this thing is hideous. Why would anyone even think about buying it? All this thing is going to do is hurt someone. Couldn't even give you a decent box.
Hey Andy! I admire you for even buying that thing, and it's entertaining to watch. Buuuuuut, I probably won't add it to my list of "must have's". 🤣 Take it easy! Roger
This looks like a term project for a hard pressed engineering student. The mechanics are front and center. Few, if any, multi-tool designs are comfortable to use in normal work sessions.
The greatest example is the Leatherman. But my goodness my one (bought in florida in 1999) has actually helped me as a U.K. trucker so much but if you want pliers you need thick gloves and rag to wrap round em. Because ouch.
I saw this knife on Aliexpress recently, and didn’t purchase it as i didn’t think it would be suitable for my use, but i think you are supposed to use it with a glove on.
Not sure what percentage of the world's population desperately wishes they had some secateurs to chop up their veges when in possession of a sharp knife, but it's reassuring to know that their needs are now catered for.
... holy mother load of weiredness this ´knife´thingy is, right? O.O Wow, never seen anything like it. Thanks for that, Andy. I´m sure you had a lot of fun testing this out...and I hope you didn´t get any serious scratches from using it, mate. Keep up the great work. Cheers from Germany :)

lol
Haha! And you’d manage very well without it too!😂😂😂

I just about fell out of my chair when you over layed the transformer sound!!!! Keep it up Kent Survival! I am always entertained
You're videos are great! I'm glad you did this one, it was good, there are so many of these crazy knives, and a legit user review is fun to watch.
Those Transformer bits really made me laugh out loud. Brilliant. Interesting paper weight. Thanks
"Honestly constable, I'm only carrying this prohibited weapon in preparation for the post Brexit apolcalyptic Zombie invasion". 🤪
Blacktimberw: the, err, secateurs, are optimised for ectoplasm.....
This is amazing Kent can't stop watching your videos

Johan Timmer - if you're 'stealth camping', using secateurs avoids leaving tell-tale saw dust on the ground & you can work almost silently too 😜👍
I'm going to get one, ideal for dead heading Geraniums and Begonias, before eating my cucumber sandwiches with a beer. I can't wait for summer now!
hahaha, certainly a talking point with friends over for pimms
I can totally see that working out. It would certainly look cooler than my current pair of clippers.
Looks like a Klingon table knife
Thanks, Andy. I was looking for the perfect tool to baton a cucumber. 🙂
Good God what a monstrosity. Excellent find, well done!
wonderfully ridiculous haha
Excellent find? If you found it, yes. If you’d bought it, no. 😂😂😂
:D thank you very much
Wow what a weapon. Looks about as useful as fly wire screens on a submarine
Haha it’s useless 😂😂
Love watching your videos.. so relaxing!
Looks like something a Klingon would use! Thanks for the videos x
Andy, thanks for the fun video! Thanks also for saving us all 16 pounds. "Ridiculous" is right! it is amazing how many things are labelled "survival"

I thoroughly enjoy your videos! Thank you 😊 please keep them coming they are very useful to me!
Love your channel, I'm a newbie when it comes to wild camping, and you seem to be quite the man in the know, keep up the good work pal 👍
Very entertaining video! Hope you do more gear reviews this year.
Those Transformers noise 😂👏🏻. Good watch as always Andy. Atb.
Great video! Would love to see more reviews like this. Particularly from Aliexpress, as they ship worldwide (still relevant to those of us camping in outback Australia!) Keep it up man
thanks Alex
Haha, that is a great one. Looks like it struggles even for kitchen tasks. This was fun to watch, thanks for sharing.
Love your gear reviews and that was one weird multi function tool thingummy bob!!
I'm guessing that is the last time we'll be seeing that thing. Thanks for showing that so I won't have to waste money on it.
Kent Hicks - I don't even reckon you can get rid of the secateur-bits & make a decent handle for this piece of junk 😡❗️
What a coincidence! I have "retro high carbon steel multi hand forged hunting outdoor camping survival straight folding combination tool knife" tattooed on my back!
Congrats on your new medieval torture device, Andy! 🤣 Thanks for saving us from that absurdity.
That is hilarious bro! 😂😂...This contraption is clearly across a Mad Max and Inspector Gadget of a tool. Goodness the entertainment that you bring us. lol...Atleast you seem to had fun with it. 👍🏼😅
hi kent please make this into a series. buy the weirdest and cheapest "survival tool" and review it please
It's a survival knife if something is chasing you and you throw it at them then keep running !!! Keep them coming Brother I'm watching !
Have you used the solar tube cookers yet? curious how well they work i have never heard anything bad yet. As far as the knife maybe for gutting and skinning but the rest looked like a struggle
Does it have a tool to get boy scouts out of horses hooves ?
Or scouts out of the girl guides.✂️
Great video. You were honest and used it for a lot of different things to test it. I agree, I don't think it would be a good knife to depend on... Thanks for sharing.
The best survival knife I've ever seen.
Funny 😂😂😜🤦♂️... Great Video, thanks man. Greatings from Germany Berry
I literally snort-laughed at that knife. 🤣🤣

I now know what not to put on my Birthday list :) Whats the other "hook" near the circular hole for?
that's wicked looking Andy
Thats cool, gadgets and gizmos are fun
So basically instead of easily cutting vegetables with an actual knife, the manufacturer wants you to spend about ten seconds fiddling around with the "tool" to turn it into some kind of weird vegetable cutter? I think I'll pass. ;)
Some type of ninja knife. Looks awesome bro
Cheeky chinook at the end great video!
thanks.. a noisy one :p
Nice video Andy 👍. Great review on WHAT not ,to spend your hard earned money on 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Kinda sad that the gear mechanism is pretty clever and the engraving is nice. A lot has gone into designing and making it but the result is pants.
That may not be the most ridiculous knife I've ever seen. Well, okay, it is. Ha ha!
Well thanks very much for the demonstration. I can take those out of my aliexpress cart now.
I actually want.. one great demonstration though fair play brother
Looks medieval!! SPARTAAAAA!
Hmm. Grind off the bottle openers, remove the junk and the blade is tough. In a new handle worth keeping.
El Croc - that curve by the tip would make a reasonable section of blade for skinning & processing hides. ....so gut hook, skinning blade & bottle opener..... but only if we junk the secateur bits & improv a new handle for it🙄🤠👍❗️
Interesting item! Thanks for sharing.
First impression- some kind of hideous surgical tool that your dentist uses LOL
Great vid! For me I think that survival knife is more for show and tell rather than for survival(or for collector's item). It is cool nonetheless, but I think I'll stick with my simple knife and sheath.
Fair and honest review ..Buy a Mora...Good advice mate!
Ah, so the bottle opener is actually a thumb opener as well. Now there's a bit of genius !!!
cant get a better review,cheers
I’m a simple man.
I see Kent advance threw the forest ,
I Drop a like . simple 👍🏽
High, the small cordage-cutter is for seat-belts, i think. Kindly fiete
It's a lawnmower and a knife, lol
It's pretty coil looking, but in the woods if a bear comes you could offer him a trim job
The only thing that thing is good for open a bottle of beer. Thanks for posting. And I still can't figure out what the hell's it for LOL
You're right, this thing is absolutely ridiculous! I think they intend to sell it primarily to the U.S. - you don't sell any tool to them without a cap lifter - lol
Surprisingly well hardened blade though.
Perhaps just a kitchen tool for car camping? Lo! Thanks for sharing. :)
jack of all - master of none!
Mole grips with a useless blade that's what it reminded me of, good fun watching you experiment with it. :-)
When you read the text on the box it sounds as if this might well be another of these things translated from chinese into engish by an eskimo with his mitts on. And lo and behold, there's no corkscrew on it as far as I can see. Bloody useful to undo knots in strings, corkscrews are...
You have to admit, it's better than NO knife! Provided you have matches.
Hilarious. What a monstrous looking thing. 🤘🤣
Man alive thats hilariously crap! Great find Andy😁😎
Too complicated for me but don't you just love the word sprocket?
I have seen those online before, glad I did not waste my money on one. 😬
A bottle opener and a cord-cutter are totally useless, as every knife does the job.
The most important function is missing: The Flyswatter is a must. I would never buy a knife without it.🙂
Looks like a cross between a knife and game shears, only it doesn't look very capable of carrying out either tools tasks.
I'm just about speechless, this thing is hideous. Why would anyone even think about buying it? All this thing is going to do is hurt someone. Couldn't even give you a decent box.
Some glorified pruning sheers lol... Looks cool though!! Cheers brother!!
looks good to make some sort of cyberpunk Knive with...
Coal miners?
Hey Andy! I admire you for even buying that thing, and it's entertaining to watch. Buuuuuut, I probably won't add it to my list of "must have's". 🤣 Take it easy! Roger
Love the thumbnail lol.
just the thing when i get lost in the garden.
Student: hey teacher look at my new scissors teacher: no that is a murderer weapon

@@MrJimbaloid Agreed! The main reason I have not purchased a Leatherman, even while admiring the ingenuity of the packaging and the tools.
@@jamesellsworth9673 no don't get me wrong THEY ARE A MUST but they are tools and they hurt your hands if you have to give them a bit of muscle.
Thanks for the review Andy, I think we can take this as a no? Probably make a good zombie, survival knife!
Love your videos. How about doing some "how to" videos for us that are learning bushcraft? I think you'll be great doing them.
thanks Helen, I did a few how to videos a while back and they just wasn't very popular.. maybe ill give it another try :)
I've tried the ember in the bird nest dry grass bundle,I keep failing at it,I must be doing something wrong.
Looks impressive, looks like something a doctor who baddie would have.
The name looks like something Monty Python would've come up with on Quest.
Can u get your money back. As Craig says on strictly. - “Disaster” 🤣
Another great video by Andy keep the good work up soon be a millionaire
It reminds me of an Asian fighting weapon. Good video.
This has to be the strangest most awkward device I have ever seen
I saw this knife on Aliexpress recently, and didn’t purchase it as i didn’t think it would be suitable for my use, but i think you are supposed to use it with a glove on.

What a ridiculous piece of kit, great review though, good fun.
Looks like it was designed by Alan Titmarsh and Rambo after a night on Shrooms🤣
😃😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 LOL
Wow that was awesome if am going to be lost in the woods need to get myself one of them 😂
I accidentally cut one of my fingers off just from watching the video
😂
