I guess that could also explain why Diluc, KoF's former Cavalry Captain, immediately felt right at home with the intelligence guild that he enlisted on during his little soul-searching, being-a-menace-to-the-Fatui trip after his dad croaked. He already has prior experience.
But Cavalry Captain is already a position within the knights. Before Kaeya, Diluc was cavalry captain, he also seems to have a wide reaching spy network and knows a lot of things about treasure hoarders etc. I think it just makes sense to have someone keeping an eye on them and it might as well be the Cavalry Captain, especially since we see that the Recon captain is EULA, someone who seems to be well known since she's a Lawrence, and also not that good at actually talking to people, meanwhile Kaeya is a good liar and a sweet-talker so it makes sense that he's the one gathering intelligence.
I always found Kaeya's position in the knights really weird, because he does seem more like the one in charge of investigations or covert ops rather than cavalry. I understand that he needs to do something since all the horses went on the expedition (why did Varka take the cavalry, but not his cavalry captain with him?), but Albedo is supposed to be the investigation team captain and Eula is suppose to be recon, although I'd argue that recon seems to be more Amber's job than Eula. Nobody is doing what they are supposed to be doing, haha.

Could Margaret not have walked ten feet from her usual patrol zone to the Adventurer's Guild and put a commission instead of climbing to the Ordo Favonius HQ to ask the leader of the knights to help? Heck, Diona goes cat hunting in her hangout on Margaret's orders, so this makes even less sense. Jean is a wonderful person and beloved by the citizens, but she really needs to learn how to say no.
well diluc also has an intelligence network so basically mondstat has the best intelligence operatives in all of teyvat similar to Redainian Intelligence from the Witcher

That theory freaking slapped omg- I was wondering myself why Kaeya knew so much about the treasure hoarders. Even in his character profile that has a story called the list, where the traveler talks about a document Kaeya wrote about pretty much every bandit in mondstadt’s vicinity, including high ranking treasure hoarders. *this theory ties that together so well, omg- and the fact that treasure hoarder insignias are also called raven insignias, and the ties with the upside down teyvat theory PLS-*
In terms of ravens/crows and the sun, Chinese mythology also has one: There used to be 10 ravens in charge of being the sun and they took turn everyday. Once they all came out in on day, causing suffering for human. Thus, a human/demigod, who is also a talented archer, shoot 9 of them down and only leave 1 current sun ever since. I read this story a long time ago in my native language, so I couldnt find the English sources of references

It's not just Kaeya's eye that has a four-pronged star in it. Dainsleif's does, too. I'd wager it represents the eyes of Khaeneiah more than a sun. So a raven encircling an eye would point heavily toward Odin or at least prophecies.
Kaeya is one of the most interesting characters, always happy to learn anything new about him. The peacock constellation story makes a lot of sense! Cannot wait to go to khaenri'ah 10 years from now 😬

My personal theory is that Teyvat is a disc, and Khaenriah is on the other side. This would explain how going down in the Abyss leads you to space, how the domains in the ruins of Khaenriah have a sky, and even the "as above so below" mirrored tablet in the domains. Edit: it would also literally put Khaenriah "on the other side of the horizon".
Can we also talk how weird Bennett's upbringing is? The dude was found in a unexplored dungeon full of deadly traps. A "Hell on Earth". Babies just don't pop inside deadly dungeons. Babies with reality-bending levels of misfortune. Yeah, Bennett is weird as fuck.
in the "Heart of Depth" artifact set the "Copper compass" artifact has the description "An ancient bronze compass. Its needle points towards some ever-distant shore, to a non-existent harbor.". this may support your theory. the rest of the set has some information about it too. you should check it out if you didn't
I think that set's lore is actually about events that happened during Mondstadt's aristocratic period, around 1000 years ago. The drunken chief mate was once a Mondstadt noble who became a phantom thief who robbed the rich to give to the poor using the Alley Flash sword. He was eventually driven out of town so his half-brother Eberhart(from the Gladiator's set and Dragonspine ancient journals) could usurp his title, and that's when he became a sailor. The lore of the Heart of Depth set itself leads up to his death, as no one returned from that voyage to slay the sea monster. However, its greatsword-torn carcass did wash up on the shore, and was made into the Serpent Spine greatsword.
Yeah, I double checked. The set and story (iron sting, serpent spine, + book) are all about sailors from Mondstat... where the heck the port is though is anyone's guess.

Yoooo Kaeya's name has to be the "Kaja- Jackdaw bird" interpretation. It makes wayyyy too much sense. It would be natural that if Kaeya's surname is Germanic, and Khaenri'ah has heavy Germania and Scandanivian elements, that you take the "Y" in his name and flip it into "J" since in these languages, the "J" is pronounced as a "Y." Omg and the symbolism regarding Odin's ravens. Heck, Odin wears an eyepatch! He sacrificed his eye in order to see everything that happens in the world. Sus but mind-blowing 😮😮
Remember when we found a dead treasure hoarder the first time we arrived at the Defiled Statue in Dainsleif archon quest? I believe the treasure hoarder group is definitely suspicious.
I remember during Mona's event, we looked into the memories of the man who create the first prototype for the wing glider and his goal was to reach the highest mountain and from what we gathered is that the highest mountain point in his time was very short and reachable for us in the modern day (i forgot the location, sorry) so my speculation is that to modern Teyvat Khaenri'ah is the underground city while 500 years ago it was above ground

The Treasure Hoaders look for test subjects because they are the people of Khaenri'ah that lived. Perhaps they are a branch that wasn't there on the day their people were turned into creatures of the Abyss so they remain human and changed their identity to that of a Treasure Hoader. Kaeya and his father are part of this branch of Khaenri'ah humans that lived. The people of Khaenri'ah were too intelligent for their own good (so they were destroyed by Celestia) and what do intelligent people do? They do tests! Treasure Hoaders want to test living beings to see if they can find a way of reversing the effects of their people who are now creatures of the Abyss. The Treause Hoaders are always depicted as a group that is able to easily toss away their morals since they commit acts of theft and violence. They don't care about others except for themselves, so it's safe to assume that they really don't care about experimenting on other beings against their will.

Maybe that's why Deinsleif is now trying to save the abyss sibling because he realized that they are being used by the abyss.
Isn't it actually implied that, after falling from the sky, Traveler Twins landed in Khaenri'ah? If so, it's impossible to fall from the sky and land on something underground. Also "underground" here may be used in a less literal sense, as in trying too stay unnoticed and/or trying to secretly do things that you'd otherwise be prevented from doing.
Remember that Kaeya also befriended the Abyss agents that infiltrated Mondstadt and got information out of them about the "Prince/Princess" or as we know, the other twin... He's way too sus

My theory is that Kaeya hides his eye because it's like the mark of Cain, where anyone who sees it knows you've been marked for punishment by the gods. If it's also an eye through which Khaenria watches AND something to do with the treasure hoarders it would be awesome. I also don't think all domains and the abyss are necessarily connected to Khaenria because Dragonspine showed us that multiple civilizations aside from Khaenria got wiped out or forgotten.
Not to mention it was on the TALLEST mountain in Teyvat. Well, until Venti flung it into the ocean, but funny how the Abyss has so much to do with going UP.
@@alvernia. I tend to not give it too much weight myself despite it being observable. There's too much precedent in Honkai to take the Abyss at face value. In every outer-dimensional region (so far) spatial relationships have had no meaning and up/down ended up being a "product of the observer" so to speak. The Abyss going up could be a clue that Teyvat is upside down but it could also be a hint that it's one of those outer-dimensional spaces.
just when you thought MiHoYo couldn't get more convoluted than The Imaginary Tree, Sea Of Quanta and anchored/unanchored (bubble) universes, they add all this extra stuff to the Genshin idea...interestingly a big part of what causes many universes to become unanchored and become bubble universes (in which they slowly degrade and will eventually be erased) is that they become too technologically advanced and are either cast adrift in the quantum sea of "cleansed" by the Honkai in the existing sense, basically reset and wiped of all life which somewhat fits with the Genshin's history. Like it's pretty clear that Celestia is kinda sus at this point and also kinda fit's with the Tsaritza having access to the highest grade of technology since she's the only one seemingly actively combating "the cycle". Now obviously it doesn't have to work by the same rules but it is pretty much confirmed Genshin/Honkai are in the same multiverse just very far apart (ya know because excuses for characters to look similar and stuffs) so food for thought
Kaeya has at least 2 informants to be exact: Vile and Nimrod. Nimrod sometimes manifests himself too much as an undercover informant within the treasure hoarders that he refers himself as a treasure hoarder too. To simply put it, I think that the information gets passed from Nimrod (undercover informant) to Vile (middleman) then to Kaeya. Also, Kaeya mirrors Rostam's role 500 years ago as someone who has a shady underground network working for him. Whether it has a connection or not, it's still quite interesting. As for the treausure hoarders being connected with Khaenri'ah, I say they are in a way... at least for the ones at the higher/highest echelon of their organization. I bet that most of the treasure hoarders are just petty theives who are out there trying to get easy money. Going by your theory, I think that the treasure hoarder network is just a front. They probably have a deeper connection with Khaenri'ah, specifically between the highest authorities of the treasure hoarder organization and the alchemists of Khaenri'ah. The alchemists of Khaenri'ah are most likely practicing a dangerous kind of Khemia behind closed doors, so what other means are there for them to gather materials, test subjects and large amounts of data without garnering attention to themselves? The treasure hoarders, of course! The grunts can take all the treasures they could find in the ruins as long as they bring back the data they could find to their leaders. Then the leaders of the treasure hoarders will the data back to the alchemists. I wouldn't even be surprised if the true leaders of the treasure hoarders themselves are of Khaenri'ah descent and/or alchemists.
You know, Aether and Lumine actually have a similar looking symbol in their clothing, specifically the 'Sun' symbol, though they ALSO have the sun in the moon (or Eclipse symbol) in the back of their outfits (more obvious on Lumine's dress). There's like zero actually fleshed out theory from me, but i cant stop thinking about Dainsleif saying how "she too loved these flowers". To me it seems he's talking to the traveler when he says that line, so what if eventually we actually get to see this field of flowers from the travail trailer with Dainsleif? This would imply that this field of flowers (flowers that Lumine has in her hair) could possibly be in Teyvat, Khaenriah or the Abyss. Now, if you pair this along with the theory of the twin's homeland once being part of Teyvat... it paints quite an interesting picture, no? Well, in any case, I believe the twins were connected to this world way before they fell into Teyvat. There's just a bit too many things to dismiss them as mere coincidences....

Also, Naberius of Ars Goetia often takes the form of a raven and is associated with persuasion, which is something the silver-tongued bastard is more than proficient at. Wait, he might literally be a bastard though :[] If we wanna be a little sneaky, then the crow technically 'Eclipses' the sun, so... Naberius might have something to do with the Eclipse Dynasty. And the Spiral Abyss namecard technically has an Eclipse in the middle of its Spirals. Also, Kaeya having an Eyepatch and using a group associated with Ravens for information is such Odin vibes we should just start calling him the Allfather at this point.

Also, I was wondering because I know that you have already said that you think that Kaeya = Su: What do you think about the possibility of Baizhu being Su? Even Baizhu's hair from the front looks like Su in the Honkai sprite. This, their connection to medicine, and Baizhu curiously being the only dendro vision holder we are introduced to. I know that is it a far stretch, but how come that as a 'human', Baizhu has an incurable disease like Xiao's karma? Could he have been the god of forests who faked death/rebirth (e.g. Morax) and fled and set up a pharmacy, like Bai Suzhen from the legend of the great white snake? Then, if he is or was a god, could his disease instead by a curse of the cataclysm? If not that, I still feel suspicious about Baizhu lol
Oh Baizhu sus as hell. I dunno about the Baizhu = Su theory, mostly because the only thing connected them in Dendro/Plant motifs. I'm more inclined to say that the Peacock motif shared by Kaeya and Su is considerably more specific and hard to ignore, but honestly? Anything goes at this point.
OMG about Baizhu can be referencing Bai suzhen!!! I think this is very posible!! In that white snake tale, Bai Suzhen's lover Xu Xian is a apprentice or a student of a pharmacy!!

Here's another mythology link: Freki and Geri are sibling characters from Mondstadt. They can be found hanging around Chef Mao in Liyue. Freki and Geri are the names of Odin's wolves.
I think it's also interesting to note, the Treasure Hoarders and the Abyss have similar technology Crossbows, Alchemy etc, things that aren't well understood in Teyvat, I mean a Balista is soon as some great archon weapon in Liyue and the people of Teyvat still only use bows, the treasure hoarders and hilichurls have better technology or at least weaponry than we do.
I think that the treasure hoarder coins are khaenriah's version of mora, and I believe that everybody from khaenriah will be connected to some type of Norse mythology
The best way to hide secrets is in plain sight, the more we see something and get used to its presence the less suspicious we tend to be. I just thought a lot of the domain stuff is just sub space creation magic, or just general space magic that powerful gods on similiar or higher level with archons are able to do. For their existence to be a result of the cataclysm is highly possible since the magic cubes used to 'destroy' Khaenri'ah can also relocate certain locations as shown in the beginning of the game where the Sustainer separates the twins.

I've heard a lot about the moonson flower meaning behind kaeya's name but this is the first time hearing a different interpretation and am absolutely blown away how well you connected "kaija" to khaenriah. The treasure hoarders "sun" is actually an eclipse. You can see that it isnt a completly round disk but it have a crescent style to it. Moon, sun, star in one symbol. Also take note of that there are two very important ravens in Norse mythology, Hugin and Munin, who circled the globe looking and gathering all the information they could for Odin. Sound like something? Like a world wide organization looking for treasures? Crack pot theory: Fischl is Odin and the boss of all the treasure hoarders! But seriously though. Do take note that Fischl share a loooot of similarities to Odin. She use thunder (more associated with Odins son Thor but still), she have a raven whom actually gets depicted in norse styling, she wear an eye patch too! Sure she still has her eye but you know. She is also someone who deals with gathering information. And an interesting thing is that while she do spout german words, it seems she sometimes have trouble using them, and most people dont seem to understand those words...this is a theory of my own but I think that german in mondstadt is a dead language. Sure a few words may be used here and there but it dont mean they speak the language...like with Latin. many language has latin words and latin pop up now and then but we just dont speak it. Most of the names in mondstadt are in english, not german...while most other location in Liyue and Inazuma has Chinese and Japanese names. Isnt that odd? And on top of that, the two most prestigeous clans who would be closest to ruling Mondstadt, Brynhildr and Ragnavindr, have nordic names. Why wouldnt they have german names and be based on german characters? Yet it seems Jean is based on a valkyrie, and Diluc is based on Batman. HAHA Just joking! Sorry. I actually dont know what Diluc is based on but I have suspicions that he and Kaeya are actually based on Thor and Loki. Hear me out, I know it dont quite fit since Thor was the god of Thunder and has goats, but Thor is traditionally depicted as a red head and Diluc has red hair too. Diluc has an adopted brother whom he dont get along with, and Thor had Loki as a brother and they too dont get along well all the time. Kaeya was a spy from Khaenriah, and Loki was a Jotun or half jotun...uh the myth is very messy on what Loki really is but he definitively was partially an outsider who lived with the Aesir. And there is one more connection. The battle pass snake. If the battlepass snake that corrupted Lumine is actually the Abyss Order...Diluc is constantly fighting against the abyss order... That mirrors how Thor always want to fight the midgard snake. And that means.... Kaeya might trigger another Ragnarok and Diluc might die just like Thor... ow that got dark^^; I hope Im wrong on that point. But for the most I think Im right on the inspiration of them..Most of them are based on different tales and myths...like Klee is clearly Little Red Riding Hood and Razor is Big Bad Wolf, Lisa and Mona are from Monalisa, and Albedo may be Pinocchio...Im not so sure about the last one, and I havent been able to identify all as I havent had time to dig into them and match them up with a story. And, even if Khaenriah is an underground kingdom dont mean that they couldnt have some on ground locations. Remember the original trailer had Lumine running and she was above ground at that time. I have all along speculated that Khaenriah is on the other side of the sea of Mondstadt, due to the traveler washing ashore in Mondstadt and Kaeya being there. Of course, the unknown god could have moved across the world several times over before the traveler was dumped but who knows? But I dont think the treasure hoarder "alchemists" are really alchemists. I think they stuff slimes into those vials and thats how they get used like molotov cocktails. Remember that we cannot make exploding potions when we do alchemy, you would think that if anybody could do an elemental exploading potion its the traveler. Their entries atmost say their concotions are chemical, not alchemical. While those sound similar they are very different things... Alchemy turns one thing into another by almost magical formulas but chemistry is based heavily on mixing solutions based on their atomic structures to get different compounds like acids, perfumes, flavourings.

As the true finale maybe on part 4, you could try to theorize about how most likely the void like hole that exists in the sky of the abyss might be an attempt made by something trying to escape Teyvat rather than something trying to enter into Teyvat. I say no more! 🤐

Additionally, you know what else likes treasure (or anything bright and sparkly)? Members of the Corvus family of birds. And in chinese and japanese myth, The Sun is believed to be embodied by the form of a Raven (Check _Hou Yi_ and the _Yatagarasu_ myths, specifically) Very fascinating video. There's really not much I can say other than how convincing this evidence looks, even without the confirmation.
I'd like to take a wild guess and insert my own theory: Tehvat is Geocentric, just consider the stationary Full Moon and sun. Ya if the moon is always Full then in respect to the sun it doesn't move, it's just Tehvat itself. (I have this image of a coin flipping inside a glass ball painted with stars) As far as the underground ruins in the game I'd expect they are all of Seelie architecture. That is before they lost their memory, human like forms and were still worshipping the Triple Lunar Goddess because the moon had cycles back then prior to the Eclipse. (Ya can't have an Eclipse without cycles so the moon being locked permanently just outside the Tehvat umbra is quite interesting) Also worth noting is how much closer the moon appears in Domains and the Spiral Abyss. Obviously they must be closer to the lunar sphere then Tehvat itself. Can you imagine if the moon got stuck blocking the Sun instead of in its Full position, Tehvat would have become a world of perpetual darkness. Feeling a definite Night Mother theme there.

Now check this part out, I think you'll find it interesting. Not only does the moon's cycles freezing explain how each moon taking its turn once a month in order passage but if you think about the mechanisms that moved the moon to show different cycles were what crumbled to dust then the frozen lifeless (unchanging) dead moon is very much the one and same. Like a broken clock, the gears literally crumbled to dust and now it sits there motionless as Tehvat continues to spin on it's rotation. Thanks for pointing this out, I wouldn't have thought of the crumbling sky Pillars if you hadn't said anything. The clue is also seen in the start up as it's the only moon shown not completely full.
Actually, Full on Recon is part of the Cavalry's roll, mainly that of the light Cavalry units. Channels like Shadiversity and Mettatron have dedicated topics on the matter. Pitch battles almost always start between skirmishes of opposing recon Cavalry.

I haven't seen anybody mention that Kaeya's name writes as ガイア and reads as 'Gaia' in Japanese! ガイア is the Japanese spelling of the goddess Gaia. The one of the Greek primordial deities. The Earth herself. The Mother. The Wisdom Keeper. Also I think it's important to say that she can be described as the main antagonist of the other gods. I believe that this interpretation of his name is also important.

I believe the shape in Kaeya's eyes are to indicate that he is from Khanri'aeh/Abyss, since he and Dainsleif have the same pupil design. I also think his covered eye is related to the fact he is his people's last hope, or, as some redditors have theorised, a "time bomb" (whether he realises it or not). Interestingly, Dain has a similar mask, so it may also be to hide some Abyss corruption. But of course that's just my theory, and I think the pirate thing might be more related to the truth than we think (it feels like one of those seems-like-an-obvious-lie claims that later turns out to be true as an uno reverse card plot twist). Super enjoyed your theories as well and looking forward to the third part! As a last side note, for in-depth character analysis, I also recommend looking at the characters' outfit descriptions (accessed from the lil hanger icon when changing wind gliders), and namecard descriptions. Maybe you already know this, but I recently discovered some pretty interesting stuff in there (esp in Kaeya's namecard re: his eyepatch and overall eye symbolism), so thought I'd let you know just in case! :D
Considering in the most recent patch we see the underground door to Khaenri'ah, it's safe to say it's actually underground. But either Tayvat has to sides, and isn't actually a round planet is yet to be seen. Khaenri'ah could have a sky underground still.
I think the treasure hoarders might be working with the fatui. In the Manga we see dottore experiment with archon residue on people, they need to get the „test subjects“ from somewhere right? But the fatui are diplomats. Diplomats don’t go randomly kidnapping people. So that leaves them to hire people like colleis village chief. Or… the treasure hoarders.
Many things in-game hint that, like the phrase that Katheryne says meaning that venturing down into the abyss and out in the universe is one in the same, Albedo quoting that the universe is heaven reversed and the earth is a dream lost in time and also the fact that the Traveller states in one of it's dialogues that the stars he sees in the sky are different from the ones in his home and the fact the day and night are very short

I came here to hear a lot about the symbols in the thumbnail not a lot about Kaeya. What a pleasant surprise~ Also, info gathering, in terms of Kaeya's, is not really a weird hobby. At least for me. If you were in a high position, i think having that is just a natural part of it. It's like, you just naturally create such from when you were in the low levels, so by the time you're up there, you'll have established it in an organized manner. Kaeya has the best position for the kind of network he has tho. Considering that the KoF deals with the good and bad, inside and outside, and the welfare of Mondstadt itself. Not to mention that Jean trusts Kaeya so much, and when she has to go out, she leaves the KoF to his care. It's so convenient to have info to his disposal. Also, according to the description about him in his story, he's the one who patches up the cases around Mondstadt. To my understanding, basically he's the last to leave the battlefield. You get connections there from beaten up losers who can be negotiated with. ....to work for him or go to jail.... O-O I believe it is also important to have an intel network tho. So relevant info comes earlier than trouble. Which makes it easier to deal with (when trouble do come) before it blows into an annoying case. It also makes his, and consequently Jean's, workload a little lighter. We all know that the KoF do really care for her. Kaeya too. He was the one who had the idea to give her that party and rest day when the chance presented itself. Or maybe because he wanted to be the one "running" the KoF at that one time? OAO lol. He also has qualities that makes it easier for him to create connections tho. Like not just because he's a smooth talker, or he can bond easily with others because of alcohol, but he has looks that makes Vile easily be his simp. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The 1st day i got into Mondstadt and met her, all i was getting from her voiceline is tsundere vibes towards someone she "regret meeting" but then thinks of helping the person out anyways. In the official manga, Kaeya is also the Quartermaster of the Knights, which is apparently incharge of providing supplies to troops. There's also the term Pirate Quartermaster which refers to the second-in-command of the Captain. It's all falling in to place now lmao.

I'm a huge Kaeya fan and this video made me fall down a rabbit hole at 1am. I could blame you for sleep deprivation but I can only blame myself... Pavo Ocellus actually mean's peacock's eye in latin. The constellation Pavo was named for a peacock sacred to Hera, the goddess of the sky and the stars of heaven. That peacock had its tail feathers embedded with eyes from a giant named Argus/argos Panoptes 'All-seeing' after he was killed. He was said to have hundreds eyes all over his body. The peacocks feathers of Argus were a mark of the beauty of heaven and the eyes represented the stars in the sky. Kaeya's namecard says. "The pattern of peacock feathers resembles eyes that never shut. Can we really say that this Pavo Ocellus is missing an eye...?" Argus was known to have never closed all of his eyes at any point in his life, even in his sleep. Important thing to note is that Kaeya tends to speak in half truths. Which is confirmed by Diluc, Sucrose, and Fischl in their voicelines. Like I doubt he inherited the eyepatch especially since Noelle gives him a new one every day and he tosses it in the bushes when it breaks. However, he definitely inherited something else, probably something that is removable. Ako Domeki might have founded the treasure hoarders. I remember finding a note on nazuchi beach stating that he had founded the great age of piracy 500 years ago(might reflect real world golden age of piracy). Looking at the wiki, he may have been named after Doumeki a hundred-eyed oni. From The Catch he's called the "Deathless Oni of Seirai." Or Dodomeki, a youkai cursed with having long arms covered with hundreds of bird eyes due to its habit of stealing money. Argus was also said to have a hundred eyes. Kaeya was probably was telling truth about the magic sword(probably the MC's original sword) in the Arcadian ruins. Argus did fight and kill a bull(op hilichurl?) that raged through Arcadia and then clothed himself in its skin. Maybe Domeki/Argus is his grandfather??? Not in a blood/familial sense but as the founding grandfather of the treasure hoarders whomst Kaeya is heavily affiliated with? Domeki was blown all the way to the golden apple archipelago when Seirai island blew up. In the golden apple archipelago Kaeya says "Haha, it would appear that someone came to learn of the circumstances surrounding the eyepatch that my grandfather left me."??? I originally just waved that off as a throwaway line but now it seems to carry a lot of weight and my head just hurts... Some sidenotes/thoughts: A section in Dodoco tales stuck out to me: "It's because, having lived for a long time on the Golden Apple Archipelago, the Dodocos can no longer recognize each other. They're all "Dodocos," and they all look the same, after all! " "But just as dandelion seeds will one day leave the embrace of their stalk and go with the wind, every Dodoco will one day ride the wind and the waves, and travel to the wider world on an adventure, searching for a four-leaf clover." Domeki--> Dodomeki --> dodoco Dodocos are hilichurls. I think Domeki was still human/oni? when he left the archipelago but might've turned into a hilichurl later on. Maybe he's still alive since hilichurls live longer and Kaeya personally knew him? Did Alice know Domeki? A few lines in The Catch say: "Aunt Shrine Maiden! Didn't you say that you wanted to go see the world?" "You know, go some place else, like that Kamuna guy or that Konbumaru you always talk about?" Konbumaru went into the abyss during the cataclysm. In golden apple archipelago Kaeya mentioned that he had a previous experience of being stranded but didn't specify where. Childe's teacher was also stranded in the abyss and most likely isn't the only person. So did Domeki go into the abyss at one point and find Kaeya there? Sidenotes part 2 I think the reason Kaeya was left in Mond was because literally nobody else in the knights could gather crucial intel like he could. Technically Eula is supposed to but she clearly doesn't have the social skills(like Kaeya and Thoma) or influence (like Diluc) to maintain a network. I would not be surprised if he was the one that uncovered the previous grandmaster's corruption. In Eula's story quest, it was shown that there are still constant efforts to undermine Mond from the Fatui. Jean didn't say where she got the info about the Lawrence x Fatui dealings but I wouldn't be surpised if Kaeya told her.

The solar pearl catalyst from the battle pass also looks a lot like the raven insignia. The archive also says how the craftsman who made it took the sun and moon and let the pearl absorb it, which sounds similar to the crow who stole the sun. The last paragraph also mentions a firmament so that is interesting. You should look into it

Irrelevant to the video itself but I’ve always found it so interesting that Kaeya’s talents and bio represent his sword work as ‘ceremonial bladework’ whilst any other members of the knights are represented as‘favonious bladework.’ 👀 Until disproven otherwise the idea that Kaeya may have learnt the art of the sword from an early age, maybe even by Dainsleif lives in my head rent free. I really hope that they know each other given Mihoyo has referenced Kaeya numerously in a lead up to a Dain quest or during it. And they are literal the only 2 Khaenri’ahns we know of in game (besides Pierro who hasn’t made his appearance yet).

I see people often say they don't like Kaeya because he lied in his story quest about being descended from pirates. But what if he didn't lie, and instead just told us part of the truth. Since Khaenr'iah was destroyed but he was clearly born long after the event, there must have been some survivors. Perhaps they managed to flee elsewhere, or weren't in the country at the time, and they either settled elsewhere (like the followers of Havria) or moved back into the ruins of Khaenr'iah once everything had settled down somewhat. Those people would need to support themselves somehow, so what if they did it by becoming bandits/treasure hoarders/pirates/etc.?

I know this video came out a year ago but might I present an epiphany I had while watching it: The Treasure Hoarders are led by Rhinedottr. The connections to Khaenri'ah, the alchemists looking for test subjects...it's all connected I could just be reaching out on a limb tho....but we will see.
I don't know, but the element Anemo can be said as an element having the ability to change itself into any element, besides Dendro and Geo. For example, Swirl reaction if added with Pyro, cryo or electro it deals the damage of that specific element. **Baal fight spoilers below** Also, we saw Kazuha utilizing 2 different visions at one point. Originally, Kazuha has the **Anemo vision** then he uses the Electro vision, his friend's ofc. And, can't forget about the Traveller. Traveller first resonated with Anemo, then got the access to Geo and Electro later in the story.

I think it just makes sense to have someone keeping an eye on them and it might as well be the Cavalry Captain, especially since we see that the Recon captain is EULA, someone who seems to be well known since she's a Lawrence, and also not that good at actually talking to people, meanwhile Kaeya is a good liar and a sweet-talker so it makes sense that he's the one gathering intelligence.

I always found Kaeya's position in the knights really weird, because he does seem more like the one in charge of investigations or covert ops rather than cavalry. I understand that he needs to do something since all the horses went on the expedition (why did Varka take the cavalry, but not his cavalry captain with him?), but Albedo is supposed to be the investigation team captain and Eula is suppose to be recon, although I'd argue that recon seems to be more Amber's job than Eula.

Could Margaret not have walked ten feet from her usual patrol zone to the Adventurer's Guild and put a commission instead of climbing to the Ordo Favonius HQ to ask the leader of the knights to help? Heck, Diona goes cat hunting in her hangout on Margaret's orders, so this makes even less sense.

In terms of ravens/crows and the sun, Chinese mythology also has one: There used to be 10 ravens in charge of being the sun and they took turn everyday. Once they all came out in on day, causing suffering for human. Thus, a human/demigod, who is also a talented archer, shoot 9 of them down and only leave 1 current sun ever since.

It's not just Kaeya's eye that has a four-pronged star in it. Dainsleif's does, too. I'd wager it represents the eyes of Khaeneiah more than a sun. So a raven encircling an eye would point heavily toward Odin or at least prophecies.
Kaeya is one of the most interesting characters, always happy to learn anything new about him. The peacock constellation story makes a lot of sense! Cannot wait to go to khaenri'ah 10 years from now 😬

My personal theory is that Teyvat is a disc, and Khaenriah is on the other side. This would explain how going down in the Abyss leads you to space, how the domains in the ruins of Khaenriah have a sky, and even the "as above so below" mirrored tablet in the domains.

I think that set's lore is actually about events that happened during Mondstadt's aristocratic period, around 1000 years ago. The drunken chief mate was once a Mondstadt noble who became a phantom thief who robbed the rich to give to the poor using the Alley Flash sword. He was eventually driven out of town so his half-brother Eberhart(from the Gladiator's set and Dragonspine ancient journals) could usurp his title, and that's when he became a sailor. The lore of the Heart of Depth set itself leads up to his death, as no one returned from that voyage to slay the sea monster. However, its greatsword-torn carcass did wash up on the shore, and was made into the Serpent Spine greatsword.
Yeah, I double checked. The set and story (iron sting, serpent spine, + book) are all about sailors from Mondstat... where the heck the port is though is anyone's guess.

It would be natural that if Kaeya's surname is Germanic, and Khaenri'ah has heavy Germania and Scandanivian elements, that you take the "Y" in his name and flip it into "J" since in these languages, the "J" is pronounced as a "Y." Omg and the symbolism regarding Odin's ravens. Heck, Odin wears an eyepatch! He sacrificed his eye in order to see everything that happens in the world. Sus but mind-blowing 😮😮

I remember during Mona's event, we looked into the memories of the man who create the first prototype for the wing glider and his goal was to reach the highest mountain and from what we gathered is that the highest mountain point in his time was very short and reachable for us in the modern day (i forgot the location, sorry) so my speculation is that to modern Teyvat Khaenri'ah is the underground city while 500 years ago it was above ground

The Treasure Hoaders look for test subjects because they are the people of Khaenri'ah that lived. Perhaps they are a branch that wasn't there on the day their people were turned into creatures of the Abyss so they remain human and changed their identity to that of a Treasure Hoader. Kaeya and his father are part of this branch of Khaenri'ah humans that lived. The people of Khaenri'ah were too intelligent for their own good (so they were destroyed by Celestia) and what do intelligent people do? They do tests! Treasure Hoaders want to test living beings to see if they can find a way of reversing the effects of their people who are now creatures of the Abyss.
The Treause Hoaders are always depicted as a group that is able to easily toss away their morals since they commit acts of theft and violence. They don't care about others except for themselves, so it's safe to assume that they really don't care about experimenting on other beings against their will.

They woke in a time skip seeing that their entire civilization is gone, that's why they are seeking treasures in ruins. Is the abyss sibling being deceived by the abyss? Maybe that's why Deinsleif is now trying to save the abyss sibling because he realized that they are being used by the abyss.
Isn't it actually implied that, after falling from the sky, Traveler Twins landed in Khaenri'ah? If so, it's impossible to fall from the sky and land on something underground. Also "underground" here may be used in a less literal sense, as in trying too stay unnoticed and/or trying to secretly do things that you'd otherwise be prevented from doing.
Remember that Kaeya also befriended the Abyss agents that infiltrated Mondstadt and got information out of them about the "Prince/Princess" or as we know, the other twin...

kaeya's constellation is "peacock's eye/eyespot" and his eye is in a shape of a primogem
peacocks are symbolically associated with royalty, nobility, watchfulness, guidance, rebirth, the cycle of time and immortality and so many other things.
though, peacocks are also associated with bad luck.
the name alberich in german means "ruler of supernatural beings (elves)" and dwarf that guards a treasure.

My theory is that Kaeya hides his eye because it's like the mark of Cain, where anyone who sees it knows you've been marked for punishment by the gods. If it's also an eye through which Khaenria watches AND something to do with the treasure hoarders it would be awesome.
I also don't think all domains and the abyss are necessarily connected to Khaenria because Dragonspine showed us that multiple civilizations aside from Khaenria got wiped out or forgotten.

@@alvernia. I tend to not give it too much weight myself despite it being observable. There's too much precedent in Honkai to take the Abyss at face value.
In every outer-dimensional region (so far) spatial relationships have had no meaning and up/down ended up being a "product of the observer" so to speak.
The Abyss going up could be a clue that Teyvat is upside down but it could also be a hint that it's one of those outer-dimensional spaces.

just when you thought MiHoYo couldn't get more convoluted than The Imaginary Tree, Sea Of Quanta and anchored/unanchored (bubble) universes, they add all this extra stuff to the Genshin idea...interestingly a big part of what causes many universes to become unanchored and become bubble universes (in which they slowly degrade and will eventually be erased) is that they become too technologically advanced and are either cast adrift in the quantum sea of "cleansed" by the Honkai in the existing sense, basically reset and wiped of all life which somewhat fits with the Genshin's history. Like it's pretty clear that Celestia is kinda sus at this point and also kinda fit's with the Tsaritza having access to the highest grade of technology since she's the only one seemingly actively combating "the cycle". Now obviously it doesn't have to work by the same rules but it is pretty much confirmed Genshin/Honkai are in the same multiverse just very far apart (ya know because excuses for characters to look similar and stuffs) so food for thought
Kaeya has at least 2 informants to be exact: Vile and Nimrod. Nimrod sometimes manifests himself too much as an undercover informant within the treasure hoarders that he refers himself as a treasure hoarder too. To simply put it, I think that the information gets passed from Nimrod (undercover informant) to Vile (middleman) then to Kaeya. Also, Kaeya mirrors Rostam's role 500 years ago as someone who has a shady underground network working for him. Whether it has a connection or not, it's still quite interesting.
As for the treausure hoarders being connected with Khaenri'ah, I say they are in a way... at least for the ones at the higher/highest echelon of their organization. I bet that most of the treasure hoarders are just petty theives who are out there trying to get easy money. Going by your theory, I think that the treasure hoarder network is just a front. They probably have a deeper connection with Khaenri'ah, specifically between the highest authorities of the treasure hoarder organization and the alchemists of Khaenri'ah. The alchemists of Khaenri'ah are most likely practicing a dangerous kind of Khemia behind closed doors, so what other means are there for them to gather materials, test subjects and large amounts of data without garnering attention to themselves? The treasure hoarders, of course! The grunts can take all the treasures they could find in the ruins as long as they bring back the data they could find to their leaders. Then the leaders of the treasure hoarders will the data back to the alchemists. I wouldn't even be surprised if the true leaders of the treasure hoarders themselves are of Khaenri'ah descent and/or alchemists.
You know, Aether and Lumine actually have a similar looking symbol in their clothing, specifically the 'Sun' symbol, though they ALSO have the sun in the moon (or Eclipse symbol) in the back of their outfits (more obvious on Lumine's dress). There's like zero actually fleshed out theory from me, but i cant stop thinking about Dainsleif saying how "she too loved these flowers". To me it seems he's talking to the traveler when he says that line, so what if eventually we actually get to see this field of flowers from the travail trailer with Dainsleif? This would imply that this field of flowers (flowers that Lumine has in her hair) could possibly be in Teyvat, Khaenriah or the Abyss. Now, if you pair this along with the theory of the twin's homeland once being part of Teyvat... it paints quite an interesting picture, no? Well, in any case, I believe the twins were connected to this world way before they fell into Teyvat. There's just a bit too many things to dismiss them as mere coincidences....

Also, Naberius of Ars Goetia often takes the form of a raven and is associated with persuasion, which is something the silver-tongued bastard is more than proficient at. If we wanna be a little sneaky, then the crow technically 'Eclipses' the sun, so... Naberius might have something to do with the Eclipse Dynasty. And the Spiral Abyss namecard technically has an Eclipse in the middle of its Spirals.
Also, Kaeya having an Eyepatch and using a group associated with Ravens for information is such Odin vibes we should just start calling him the Allfather at this point.

Even Baizhu's hair from the front looks like Su in the Honkai sprite. This, their connection to medicine, and Baizhu curiously being the only dendro vision holder we are introduced to.

Oh Baizhu sus as hell. I dunno about the Baizhu = Su theory, mostly because the only thing connected them in Dendro/Plant motifs. I'm more inclined to say that the Peacock motif shared by Kaeya and Su is considerably more specific and hard to ignore, but honestly? Anything goes at this point.

Here's another mythology link: Freki and Geri are sibling characters from Mondstadt. They can be found hanging around Chef Mao in Liyue. Freki and Geri are the names of Odin's wolves.
I think it's also interesting to note, the Treasure Hoarders and the Abyss have similar technology Crossbows, Alchemy etc, things that aren't well understood in Teyvat, I mean a Balista is soon as some great archon weapon in Liyue and the people of Teyvat still only use bows, the treasure hoarders and hilichurls have better technology or at least weaponry than we do.
I think that the treasure hoarder coins are khaenriah's version of mora, and I believe that everybody from khaenriah will be connected to some type of Norse mythology

The best way to hide secrets is in plain sight, the more we see something and get used to its presence the less suspicious we tend to be.
I just thought a lot of the domain stuff is just sub space creation magic, or just general space magic that powerful gods on similiar or higher level with archons are able to do. For their existence to be a result of the cataclysm is highly possible since the magic cubes used to 'destroy' Khaenri'ah can also relocate certain locations as shown in the beginning of the game where the Sustainer separates the twins.
Ohh this is such a great video!!! I've heard a lot about the moonson flower meaning behind kaeya's name but this is the first time hearing a different interpretation and am absolutely blown away how well you connected "kaija" to khaenriah. I absolutely love your videos but sometimes have trouble picking up the details cause of asd. Is it possible to add subtitles to the videos? The treasure hoarders "sun" is actually an eclipse. You can see that it isnt a completly round disk but it have a crescent style to it. Moon, sun, star in one symbol.
Also take note of that there are two very important ravens in Norse mythology, Hugin and Munin, who circled the globe looking and gathering all the information they could for Odin. Sound like something? Like a world wide organization looking for treasures?
Crack pot theory: Fischl is Odin and the boss of all the treasure hoarders!
But seriously though. Do take note that Fischl share a loooot of similarities to Odin. She use thunder (more associated with Odins son Thor but still), she have a raven whom actually gets depicted in norse styling, she wear an eye patch too! Sure she still has her eye but you know.
She is also someone who deals with gathering information.
And an interesting thing is that while she do spout german words, it seems she sometimes have trouble using them, and most people dont seem to understand those words...this is a theory of my own but I think that german in mondstadt is a dead language. Sure a few words may be used here and there but it dont mean they speak the language...like with Latin. many language has latin words and latin pop up now and then but we just dont speak it. Most of the names in mondstadt are in english, not german...while most other location in Liyue and Inazuma has Chinese and Japanese names. Isnt that odd? And on top of that, the two most prestigeous clans who would be closest to ruling Mondstadt, Brynhildr and Ragnavindr, have nordic names. Why wouldnt they have german names and be based on german characters? Yet it seems Jean is based on a valkyrie, and Diluc is based on Batman. HAHA Just joking! Sorry. I actually dont know what Diluc is based on but I have suspicions that he and Kaeya are actually based on Thor and Loki. Hear me out, I know it dont quite fit since Thor was the god of Thunder and has goats, but Thor is traditionally depicted as a red head and Diluc has red hair too. Diluc has an adopted brother whom he dont get along with, and Thor had Loki as a brother and they too dont get along well all the time. Kaeya was a spy from Khaenriah, and Loki was a Jotun or half jotun...uh the myth is very messy on what Loki really is but he definitively was partially an outsider who lived with the Aesir. And there is one more connection. The battle pass snake. If the battlepass snake that corrupted Lumine is actually the Abyss Order...Diluc is constantly fighting against the abyss order... That mirrors how Thor always want to fight the midgard snake. And that means.... Kaeya might trigger another Ragnarok and Diluc might die just like Thor...

But for the most I think Im right on the inspiration of them..Most of them are based on different tales and myths...like Klee is clearly Little Red Riding Hood and Razor is Big Bad Wolf, Lisa and Mona are from Monalisa, and Albedo may be Pinocchio...Im not so sure about the last one, and I havent been able to identify all as I havent had time to dig into them and match them up with a story.

And, even if Khaenriah is an underground kingdom dont mean that they couldnt have some on ground locations. Remember the original trailer had Lumine running and she was above ground at that time. I have all along speculated that Khaenriah is on the other side of the sea of Mondstadt, due to the traveler washing ashore in Mondstadt and Kaeya being there. Of course, the unknown god could have moved across the world several times over before the traveler was dumped but who knows?
But I dont think the treasure hoarder "alchemists" are really alchemists. I think they stuff slimes into those vials and thats how they get used like molotov cocktails. Remember that we cannot make exploding potions when we do alchemy, you would think that if anybody could do an elemental exploading potion its the traveler. Their entries atmost say their concotions are chemical, not alchemical. While those sound similar they are very different things... Alchemy turns one thing into another by almost magical formulas but chemistry is based heavily on mixing solutions based on their atomic structures to get different compounds like acids, perfumes, flavourings.

As the true finale maybe on part 4, you could try to theorize about how most likely the void like hole that exists in the sky of the abyss might be an attempt made by something trying to escape Teyvat rather than something trying to enter into Teyvat. I say no more! 🤐

Very fascinating video. There's really not much I can say other than how convincing this evidence looks, even without the confirmation.
I'd like to take a wild guess and insert my own theory:
Tehvat is Geocentric, just consider the stationary Full Moon and sun. Ya if the moon is always Full then in respect to the sun it doesn't move, it's just Tehvat itself. (I have this image of a coin flipping inside a glass ball painted with stars)
As far as the underground ruins in the game I'd expect they are all of Seelie architecture. That is before they lost their memory, human like forms and were still worshipping the Triple Lunar Goddess because the moon had cycles back then prior to the Eclipse. (Ya can't have an Eclipse without cycles so the moon being locked permanently just outside the Tehvat umbra is quite interesting)
Also worth noting is how much closer the moon appears in Domains and the Spiral Abyss. Obviously they must be closer to the lunar sphere then Tehvat itself.
Can you imagine if the moon got stuck blocking the Sun instead of in its Full position, Tehvat would have become a world of perpetual darkness. Feeling a definite Night Mother theme there.
Also think about when scaramouche said the sky and stars aren't real in the falling stars event that could support this theory

Now check this part out, I think you'll find it interesting. Not only does the moon's cycles freezing explain how each moon taking its turn once a month in order passage but if you think about the mechanisms that moved the moon to show different cycles were what crumbled to dust then the frozen lifeless (unchanging) dead moon is very much the one and same. Like a broken clock, the gears literally crumbled to dust and now it sits there motionless as Tehvat continues to spin on it's rotation.
Thanks for pointing this out, I wouldn't have thought of the crumbling sky Pillars if you hadn't said anything. The clue is also seen in the start up as it's the only moon shown not completely full.
Actually, Full on Recon is part of the Cavalry's roll, mainly that of the light Cavalry units.

I haven't seen anybody mention that Kaeya's name writes as ガイア and reads as 'Gaia' in Japanese! ガイア is the Japanese spelling of the goddess Gaia. The one of the Greek primordial deities. The Earth herself. The Mother. The Wisdom Keeper. Also I think it's important to say that she can be described as the main antagonist of the other gods. I believe that this interpretation of his name is also important.

I believe the shape in Kaeya's eyes are to indicate that he is from Khanri'aeh/Abyss, since he and Dainsleif have the same pupil design. I also think his covered eye is related to the fact he is his people's last hope, or, as some redditors have theorised, a "time bomb" (whether he realises it or not). Interestingly, Dain has a similar mask, so it may also be to hide some Abyss corruption.
But of course that's just my theory, and I think the pirate thing might be more related to the truth than we think (it feels like one of those seems-like-an-obvious-lie claims that later turns out to be true as an uno reverse card plot twist). Super enjoyed your theories as well and looking forward to the third part!
As a last side note, for in-depth character analysis, I also recommend looking at the characters' outfit descriptions (accessed from the lil hanger icon when changing wind gliders), and namecard descriptions. Maybe you already know this, but I recently discovered some pretty interesting stuff in there (esp in Kaeya's namecard re: his eyepatch and overall eye symbolism), so thought I'd let you know just in case! :D
Considering in the most recent patch we see the underground door to Khaenri'ah, it's safe to say it's actually underground.
But either Tayvat has to sides, and isn't actually a round planet is yet to be seen. Khaenri'ah could have a sky underground still.
I think the treasure hoarders might be working with the fatui. In the Manga we see dottore experiment with archon residue on people, they need to get the „test subjects“ from somewhere right? But the fatui are diplomats. Diplomats don’t go randomly kidnapping people. So that leaves them to hire people like colleis village chief. Or… the treasure hoarders.

Many things in-game hint that, like the phrase that Katheryne says meaning that venturing down into the abyss and out in the universe is one in the same, Albedo quoting that the universe is heaven reversed and the earth is a dream lost in time and also the fact that the Traveller states in one of it's dialogues that the stars he sees in the sky are different from the ones in his home and the fact the day and night are very short

I came here to hear a lot about the symbols in the thumbnail not a lot about Kaeya. What a pleasant surprise~ Also, info gathering, in terms of Kaeya's, is not really a weird hobby. At least for me. If you were in a high position, i think having that is just a natural part of it. It's like, you just naturally create such from when you were in the low levels, so by the time you're up there, you'll have established it in an organized manner. Kaeya has the best position for the kind of network he has tho. Considering that the KoF deals with the good and bad, inside and outside, and the welfare of Mondstadt itself. Not to mention that Jean trusts Kaeya so much, and when she has to go out, she leaves the KoF to his care. It's so convenient to have info to his disposal.
Also, according to the description about him in his story, he's the one who patches up the cases around Mondstadt. To my understanding, basically he's the last to leave the battlefield. You get connections there from beaten up losers who can be negotiated with. ....to work for him or go to jail.... O-O
I believe it is also important to have an intel network tho. So relevant info comes earlier than trouble. Which makes it easier to deal with (when trouble do come) before it blows into an annoying case. It also makes his, and consequently Jean's, workload a little lighter. We all know that the KoF do really care for her. Kaeya too. He was the one who had the idea to give her that party and rest day when the chance presented itself. Or maybe because he wanted to be the one "running" the KoF at that one time? OAO lol.
He also has qualities that makes it easier for him to create connections tho. Like not just because he's a smooth talker, or he can bond easily with others because of alcohol, but he has looks that makes Vile easily be his simp. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 The 1st day i got into Mondstadt and met her, all i was getting from her voiceline is tsundere vibes towards someone she "regret meeting" but then thinks of helping the person out anyways. And then regrets. Like gurl what?? I was suspicious of her words. But now, i have long since established that she is my love rival. LMAO. but fr tho... In the official manga, Kaeya is also the Quartermaster of the Knights, which is apparently incharge of providing supplies to troops. There's also the term Pirate Quartermaster which refers to the second-in-command of the Captain. It's all falling in to place now lmao.

Pavo Ocellus actually mean's peacock's eye in latin.
The constellation Pavo was named for a peacock sacred to Hera, the goddess of the sky and the stars of heaven. That peacock had its tail feathers embedded with eyes from a giant named Argus/argos Panoptes 'All-seeing' after he was killed. He was said to have hundreds eyes all over his body. The peacocks feathers of Argus were a mark of the beauty of heaven and the eyes represented the stars in the sky.
Kaeya's namecard says. "The pattern of peacock feathers resembles eyes that never shut. Can we really say that this Pavo Ocellus is missing an eye...?"
Argus was known to have never closed all of his eyes at any point in his life, even in his sleep.
Important thing to note is that Kaeya tends to speak in half truths. Which is confirmed by Diluc, Sucrose, and Fischl in their voicelines. Like I doubt he inherited the eyepatch especially since Noelle gives him a new one every day and he tosses it in the bushes when it breaks. However, he definitely inherited something else, probably something that is removable.
Ako Domeki might have founded the treasure hoarders. I remember finding a note on nazuchi beach stating that he had founded the great age of piracy 500 years ago(might reflect real world golden age of piracy).
Looking at the wiki, he may have been named after Doumeki a hundred-eyed oni. From The Catch he's called the "Deathless Oni of Seirai." Or Dodomeki, a youkai cursed with having long arms covered with hundreds of bird eyes due to its habit of stealing money.
Argus was also said to have a hundred eyes.
Kaeya was probably was telling truth about the magic sword(probably the MC's original sword) in the Arcadian ruins. Argus did fight and kill a bull(op hilichurl?) that raged through Arcadia and then clothed himself in its skin. Maybe Domeki/Argus is his grandfather??? Not in a blood/familial sense but as the founding grandfather of the treasure hoarders whomst Kaeya is heavily affiliated with?
Domeki was blown all the way to the golden apple archipelago when Seirai island blew up.
In the golden apple archipelago Kaeya says "Haha, it would appear that someone came to learn of the circumstances surrounding the eyepatch that my grandfather left me."???
I originally just waved that off as a throwaway line but now it seems to carry a lot of weight and my head just hurts...

A section in Dodoco tales stuck out to me: "It's because, having lived for a long time on the Golden Apple Archipelago, the Dodocos can no longer recognize each other. They're all "Dodocos," and they all look the same, after all! "

I think Domeki was still human/oni? when he left the archipelago but might've turned into a hilichurl later on. Maybe he's still alive since hilichurls live longer and Kaeya personally knew him?

A few lines in The Catch say:
"Aunt Shrine Maiden! Didn't you say that you wanted to go see the world?"
"You know, go some place else, like that Kamuna guy or that Konbumaru you always talk about?"
Konbumaru went into the abyss during the cataclysm.
In golden apple archipelago Kaeya mentioned that he had a previous experience of being stranded but didn't specify where.
Childe's teacher was also stranded in the abyss and most likely isn't the only person.
So did Domeki go into the abyss at one point and find Kaeya there?

I think the reason Kaeya was left in Mond was because literally nobody else in the knights could gather crucial intel like he could. Technically Eula is supposed to but she clearly doesn't have the social skills(like Kaeya and Thoma) or influence (like Diluc) to maintain a network. I would not be surprised if he was the one that uncovered the previous grandmaster's corruption.
In Eula's story quest, it was shown that there are still constant efforts to undermine Mond from the Fatui. Jean didn't say where she got the info about the Lawrence x Fatui dealings but I wouldn't be surpised if Kaeya told her.

Or you know, The treasure Hoarders origins has some relation to the newspaper "The Steambird" from Fontaine, mentioned in Monas story, also there was a mention of the Grand Thief of Fontaine before, and since Fontaine is nation of God of Justice, the Treasure hoarders originating from Fontaine would be a perfect example for "Justice Is Blind" Metaphor
Ashikai could have me believing the moon landing was fake. I'm not usually one to dive deep into lore theory, but your videos are extremely entertaining!
The solar pearl catalyst from the battle pass also looks a lot like the raven insignia. The archive also says how the craftsman who made it took the sun and moon and let the pearl absorb it, which sounds similar to the crow who stole the sun. The last paragraph also mentions a firmament so that is interesting. You should look into it

Irrelevant to the video itself but I’ve always found it so interesting that Kaeya’s talents and bio represent his sword work as ‘ceremonial bladework’ whilst any other members of the knights are represented as‘favonious bladework.’ 👀
Until disproven otherwise the idea that Kaeya may have learnt the art of the sword from an early age, maybe even by Dainsleif lives in my head rent free. I really hope that they know each other given Mihoyo has referenced Kaeya numerously in a lead up to a Dain quest or during it. And they are literal the only 2 Khaenri’ahns we know of in game (besides Pierro who hasn’t made his appearance yet).
I really like the alternate origin of Kaeyas name being Germanic, I feel like it makes more sense with his last name also being Germanic!

I see people often say they don't like Kaeya because he lied in his story quest about being descended from pirates. But what if he didn't lie, and instead just told us part of the truth. Since Khaenr'iah was destroyed but he was clearly born long after the event, there must have been some survivors. Perhaps they managed to flee elsewhere, or weren't in the country at the time, and they either settled elsewhere (like the followers of Havria) or moved back into the ruins of Khaenr'iah once everything had settled down somewhat. Those people would need to support themselves somehow, so what if they did it by becoming bandits/treasure hoarders/pirates/etc.?
Oh, so if we're saying Tevyat could be below ground then I assume it has to do with the concept of hollow earth, which means Tevyat is like Agartha then. That's actually really cool, can't wait for part 3 to see your hypothesis.

The Treasure Hoarders are led by Rhinedottr. The connections to Khaenri'ah, the alchemists looking for test subjects...it's all connected

I don't know, but the element Anemo can be said as an element having the ability to change itself into any element, besides Dendro and Geo.
For example, Swirl reaction if added with Pyro, cryo or electro it deals the damage of that specific element.

Also, we saw Kazuha utilizing 2 different visions at one point. Originally, Kazuha has the **Anemo vision** then he uses the Electro vision, his friend's ofc. And, can't forget about the Traveller. Traveller first resonated with Anemo, then got the access to Geo and Electro later in the story.
