Way toooooooooo many K-Dramas have ridiculously evil parents doing their very best to destroy their adult children's lives. I really wish the screen writers would stop using this over used trope and come up with something a bit different.
Oh my Gosh I have watched this so many times I can almost memorize the lines!!! The facial expressions, the body language, the tone of the voices when they say their lines in a particular episode makes you feel as they are a real couple, and they are taking you for that ride of that experience. Each actor portrayed their part so well LOVE, LOVE LOVE THIS DRAMA ON HOW IT MAKES ME FEEL, FROM USA.
This drama is incredibly well written and the actors perform it so well. The two characters' ways of dealing with conflict are deeply anchored in how they grew up and they resolve things in a way that makes it even worse next time 😭 And the way the patriarchal power structures, culture and violence and how women are treated are shown is incredible. It was beautiful and harrowing to watch.

When this drama was released I thought Ye jin and Haein were dating. Than after CLOY, I got yo know Yejin and Hyunbin are dating and they eventually got married. After snowdrop, there were rumours of Haein and Jisoo dating. Then, just last week we got to know Jisoo is dating Ahn bohyun.😂 My poor heart gets confused.😂😂
Actors are NOT their characters. They are paid to do their job which is to make you believe they have chemistry with their costar. Stop trying to read into everything. Stop shipping real ppl.
I watched this drama 2 years ago before i met my love, and it broke my heart, I didn’t know I’ll go through same thing, it’s funny how youtube recommend it to me all of sudden today, and it’s funny how when i rewatched it i realized how much their story similar to mine, the family problems and strict mothers and how everyone thinks that we shouldn’t be together, and trying to tell us apart, and a lot of other struggles, yet our love for each other grows even more and more. life is really tough and i’m terrified that my heart will break again but this time for my own love story, i’m so scared that the day when i miss him and I can’t reach him will come, he’s my love, my baby, my best friend, my soul and my everything, no one ever loved me the way he do, he’s my first man and from the bottom of my heart i wish that he’s the last. Whoever read this please please pray for us, we trying to build our lives till that day will come, that day when i be his and he become mine forever.
This drama is just so true to life... from the indecisive of the female lead and why she did what she did. Even though her inconsistent thought and action were annoyed to some, I fully understand how she felt. The ending was kind of abrupt when they decided to be together again for only 15 minutes from the whole series but I'll take it.
Haizt. Just done rewatching this for the second time. I thought I'll have no courage to watch it till the end because I'm so stress with her mom😅. Though the ending was too quick but I'm glad they're back together. One of my fave kdrama.

The whole meaning of the drama gets brutally exposed in this scene. He is the younger and presumably the one who will default. But it is the other way around. The drama was written to expose the taboo. She never knew how to love him right. He loved her right from beginning to end. And the father needed to see this in his lifetime to feel what he actually did to his abandoned children. He needed to see his son begging and begging at her bedroom door.
FL was not in love with him.....he gave her so many chances ...she kept on betraying him ....she just made him suffer a lot....while he is a loyal one ..her love is very shallow..
I think she just doesn’t know how to love and be loved. Look at her family, they are so toxic and brainwashed based on the mom’s beliefs on how she wants her family to look like. The only way to escape it is to leave and start a new life. 😢

This was an amazing series but would have been better if it was 10 episodes long. SonYeJin's character got too annoying after a while because she kept screwing up.

I don't understand some criticisms towards Jin-Ah's character. Most of her decisions were made in order to protect Joon Hee and Kyung Seon, because she didn't want them to submit to the abuse of her psychopath mother, and didn't trust Joon Hee when he said that he could bear it. However, she still has very strong feelings towards him and can't quite give up on him, leading to scenes such as this one. Maybe the blind date was a bit forced, considering the mother was already a minority at this point and everyone else was OK with them dating, but I didn't give it too much thought as her intentions were clear. What I can't understand, for the love of me, is why would Joon Hee give her an ultimatum to leave to the US with him. Why not talk it through before making a decision? This part felt like terrible writing and unnecessary drama, and their break up wasn't convincing. It doesn't make much sense that Joon Hee would bear all the abuse up until this point only to give up the moment Jin Ah finally leaves her mom behind, allowing them to start a new life together (even if she's living as an independent woman). And he doesn't even talk with Jin Ah before making the decision. I just can't get my head around it. If he stayed, that would have given us a better depiction of their future in the last 2 chapters, and a more believable resolution to the mom's storyline, maybe with an apology to Joon Hee and Kyung Seung, which would have been a very powerful moment. All in all, I loved the relationship between the 2 leads, they basically carry the entire show upon their shoulders, and the romance was absolutely spot on, the way they depict the process of falling in love with someone was as accurate and down to earth as it can possibly be, it was impossible not to relate to the couple and root for them. The final chapters are not that bad IMO, it's just the break up at chapter 15 that didn't make much sense to me, and deprived us of a more heartfelt/satisfactory conclusion. But I'm still thankful for the ride.
I really loved and enjoyed the first half of this show. Then I just hated it!! The mom was horrible and cruel beyond description. But what I hated the most was jin ah, she wasn’t any different from her mom. She was inconsiderate, selfish, stupid, weak, submissive and not to mention very childish for her age!! She made him suffer and couldn’t protect him or defend him from her crazy mother and kept hurting him and then get mad. He did everything he could for them and more. He endured all kind of suffering and humiliation just to be with her and what did she do in return?? Abandoning him and cause him so much pain .. Jung hae in did a superb job here!! He made me cry my heart out by his amazing acting skills!!

I agree. The drama debunked the theory that the younger partner doesn’t really love and will quit first and abandon the other part as soon as the first difficulties arise. In this drama is the other way around. He loved her right from beginning to end and she never knew how to truly love him not even in the final episode. They didn’t keep none of the 2 umbrellas. The red for passion. The green for fresh start. They got a yellow one at the end as a bright new beginning but didn’t really held it. They got soaked in the rain. Which means they are bound to life demands and imposing circumstances. Yes he loved her more all the way.

Recently I found this drama on Netflix and found it should been finished by 8th episode I like to leave following 3 comments( at least): Why Shout loud and hit hard to each other when they upset to spouse, children, friends ( violent) Almost always drink beer or soju on every episode Stupid and immature attitudes of Jina when she make mistakes saying “ I am sorry” then cry or make it be excused saying childish comments jokingly and I could NOT bear Jina’ mother Only favorite parts of this drama were actress Son Yejin and Jung Hae-In .
Esa horrible mujer que es la madre , representa a muchos adultos mayores de allá , quienes tradicionalmente están acostumbrados a hacer y deshacer con total impunidad , amparados en las costumbres de excesivo empoderamiento que tienen por tradición . Por ser mayores están llenos de prejuicios y conveniencias arribistas , materialistas que llegan al absurdo. Jin-a makes stupid decisions over and over again. And keeps lying to her boyfriend. I’m getting frustrated at her character. :/
Esa horrible mujer que es la madre , representa a muchos adultos mayores de allá , quienes tradicionalmente están acostumbrados a hacer y deshacer con total impunidad , amparados en las costumbres de excesivo empoderamiento que tienen por tradición . Por ser mayores están llenos de prejuicios y conveniencias arribistas , materialistas que llegan al absurdo. La inmadurez de la protagonista y su dependencia económica por la vivienda , la detiene , ella debió irse con él y dejar a la toxica madre.

It was a good show but it's to long for me it could've been 10 episode, also i think that i loved the actor's chemistry with jisoo so much that i couldn't accept him otherwise 😢

The mothers part overdone,love JungHui in ,FL Always wanted her own way,she should have waited to the end of the week when he came back romChina instead of signing a lease without consulting him, he only wanted to take her to America to have a better life,after she sorted out her commitments,unsatisfactory end ,whee did their lives lead to,we would like to see another series to Finnish the story.
