Thank you for your bravery in speaking truth! Emperor Palpatine ascended to power by being duly elected, while the Rebels attempted to overthrow the legitimate government through terrorist activities, and using Ewok meat-shields. Long live the Benevolent Empire! :)
One thing I noticed you forgot to mention. Once the rebellion succeeded in ending the empire, the failed to have a plan to establish a new government. This in turn left a power vacuum that opened the door for the first order to take power. The galaxy should be fortunate that a criminal empire like the Hutts or the Black Sun didn't take the opportunity to take power, or maybe they did.
The New Republic, but to be fair they are almost invisible in the new canon. The First Order never took power, instead their unwitting goal was always to pave the way for the Emperor's contingency. Criminal groups likely did gain power following the dismantling of the Empire, which could be reflected in an increased focus on them in the TV series, though it's one thing to take the opportunity to gain territory for your activities, quite another to take control of multiple planets, something even the authoritative Empire struggled with
The only reason the series started with the trilogy was so that we would be biased against the Sith and Empire by the time the evidence justifying their actions is shown in the prequels. The erroneous attitude about the empire being morally evil comes from a typo in the opening crawl of the first film which accidentally put EVIL EMPIRE instead of BENEVOLENT EMPIRE. My understanding is that it was left in due to budget constraints.
The Jedi left all those younglings alone in the temple, with clearly no guards to look after them, in the middle of a war. They put them in danger, and when Anakin showed up you could see that they were so scared, they asked Anakin what they were going to do, but I think they knew the truth at that point: there was no escape. The enemy had them surrounded and it was only a matter of time until they were captured, tortured and then executed or sold into slavery. Anakin knew it too, which is why he did what he did. Killing them was a mercy at that point. In short the Empire saved those younglings from an even worse fate than what awaited tem if they had been allowed to be captured by the Empire.

A Wamp Rat is that creature that the Storm Trooper is riding in Episode 4. There's a couple of things: - The comparison between Adam and Eve and the destiny of Anakin Skywalker doesn't hold up to scrutiny. Why? Because foreknowledge and Destiny arent the same thing in this case especially when as it pertains to free will. For example: If I'm watching somebody on youtube play a linear story-based game that I've already played before , I have a awareness in saying "I know how this ends for the person playing the game" that's what makes it foreknowledge. Does that mean that they were destined to utilize the same time and or strategy to complete the game? Absolutely not. However, key points in the game were predetermined because the character was purposed to take that path, that's what makes it destiny. Likewise with the analogy, God had foreknowledge but didn't rob Adam and Eve of their agency nor were they meant to eat it. Anakin was destined to bring balance to the force so certain thing were meant to happen because that was the purpose for his life but who knows if it what supposed to be the way that he did it. Why didn't he take the Ahsoka Tano approach and become a grey Jedi? That's pretty much as balanced as you're going to get. Even Kylo Ren said how both sides were flawed to him in the last Jedi. - When you make the statement, the stormtrooper overreacted and called for help @ 7:09, are you saying that he called for help to restrain Han Solo, to give medical attention to Han Solo or to help fight the Rebels? Because if it's the first 2, then I highly doubt it. why because He was already on the ground he could've arrested him right then and there dragged him to a base that allowed for medical attention whilst still being arrested. Cops do that all the time. Here's my thing: the stormtroopers in that particular scene weren't smart. You mean to tell me that spaceships, hover bikes, and laser swords exist but they didn't have enough sense to simply radio the location in so that all the troopers could converge on their location for a highly wanted fugitive (possibly top 5 in the galaxy)? I thought you said that the stormtroopers were peaceful. The trooper at @8:54 definitely wasn't peaceful. Luke had his guard up which was different from the battle Vader. (Side note: if Activation of a lightsaber is aggression, then you can't have it both ways, Darth Maul activated his lightsaber first during the final confrontation with Qui-gonn and Obi wan on naboo. So either Luke and the other Jedi was in the right all those other times they activated the lightsaber first Darth Maul as a sith included or the opposite is true) The trooper turned around when Luke was already meters behind him, far enough to where he could've ran away and Luke wouldn't have done a thing to stop him. That stormtrooper shot first just like Han did, again can't have it both ways. I'm not saying the Jedi was right but I'm not saying the Empire was right either. However there are certain parts of the armor where it doesn't save the ones inside them, and Leia, as well as most rebel insurgents, know where these weak points are.
You have to admit, the Ewoks were a bunch of ingrates. The Emperor notes twice that it was a "sanctuary moon"--an area set aside for their society. All the benevolent Empire asked in return was to position a shield generator there. Seems more than fair. But NO! Those annoying little furbags turn against their benefactors. Total ingrates.
That whole Anakin bringing balans to the force is the biggest meme ever. Also he didn't even do that right. Cal Kestis. Ahsoka Tano, Taron Malicos (who turned to the dark side), Ezra bridger, Kana Jarrus,
Great, stable jobs with great state benefits and healthcare, lots of structure and feedback on performance during employment. Lots of bread and circus. The Empire will rise again.
I feel you are rather sarcastic about this, but I really do believe the Empire was perhaps not “good” but legal, righteous and completely justified in all of their actions. Frankly an Empire centric movie would be a lot better than the Rebel propaganda we have in the 9 movies.
Very interesting, it's clear that once a side is morally legitimated they can do whatever evil they want. I'm tired of movies were the "good" people kills dozens, and the "bad" people captures them without even hurting... supposed to be evil?
I think you forgot the fact that C3po was made by Anakin Skywalker. So, any deceitful tendencies you talked about, 3po got were made by your hero, Lord Vader.
Although I agree with most points I do want to point out that Palpatine being a Sith LORD, would, in turn, mean that he is with the separatists since Dooku was his apprentice, so Mace accusing him of betrayal etc. makes sense. It doesn't mean that he should take Justice in his own hands though.
Isn't one of the Jedis most know abilities is communication or control of non sentient beings so Luke's killing of all these creatures is because he'd rather kill than communication through the force
After watching the series thus far, i can certainly see your perspective. It indeed comes from a pragmatic view of their situation. While war is ultimately pointless, in the fray, reason would be needed. Though, it's probably more as Machiavelli first envisioned.
I agree with most of these points but I don’t think the scout trooper said get help to the others for medical attention, I see it as him getting the other troopers to get back up, not for Hans medical help
I have another thing to point out. Han Solo was going to shoot the Ewok chief after being surrounded by the ewoks. The ewoks are just creatures trying to eat to survive. The rebels got in their traps and the rebels was their food.
I agree with everything except when you said that palpatine did nothing wrong. He kinda did the entire clone wars. But windu and his boys didn’t know about it or have any proof, therefore they still couldn’t arrest him.
I’ve watch all these episodes an My only doubt is 4:27 “the time has come” sounds abit like he was waiting for the time, as if it was a plan “66- final solution type ish”
when you think about the history of Anakin Skywalker, sequels make now much more sense. in episode 6, Anakin restored balance. only luke remained. But: he created a new Jedi academy. unbalance occurred, so the emperor returned, to restore light/dark side balance. But: turning Kylo Ren to the dark side created another unbalance, so Rey occurred. now is the balance restored. But. in the rise of skywalker, luke was gone. ultimate battle will occur. after defeating the emperor, Kylo or Rey had to die. originally it was supposed to be Rey, but Kylo decided to save her. now we have Rey in the position of luke. let's hope she'll make an academy that will teach about the light and dark side of the force, or else...
I have more to add to this, in a new hope, why didn't the rebels send any of there men to rescue leia when she was on the death star, they clearly had some stolen imperial ships just like in return of the Jedi that they could of used but they didn't which I think is strange
"And keep in mind, Palpatine has broken no laws-" PALPATINE IS A WAR CRIMINAL!!!! Point 1:Actions during the trade blockade of naboo Point 2:Clone Army and Order 66 Point 3:Alderaan Mace Windu were on their way to arrest the traitor of the Republic. Palatine resisted arrest and murdered three Jedi. At that point it's safe to assuma Mace Windu has to fight back. Mace didn't attack him. Palpy made the first move. As much as I love ma boi the Senate he was definetly a War criminal.

He kill almost ALL Jedi. Ashoka was a Grey " Jedi" she was not so useless than a Jedi.
11:55 Han Solo copping a feel on the princess.
All the dislikes are from bloodthirsty tyrannical loving Jedi sympathizers.
AKA- CHILD MOLESTERS
Remember- The JEDI like em Young...real young.... 🤢🤮🤮
(* ̄︿ ̄)
Technically it looks like order 66 was an extreme emergency plan in case the Jedi became tyrannical!
11:55 look where Hans hand is
I noticed that after re-watching Return of the Jedi.
I really want to know how normal empire citizen lived
So do I. It would be interesting to see how they lived.
I would watch a video about that.
TheDestiny In constant fear of a terrorist attack by the rebels.
2 words: Operation Cinder
Great, stable jobs with great state benefits and healthcare, lots of structure and feedback on performance during employment. Lots of bread and circus. The Empire will rise again.
I feel you are rather sarcastic about this, but I really do believe the Empire was perhaps not “good” but legal, righteous and completely justified in all of their actions. Frankly an Empire centric movie would be a lot better than the Rebel propaganda we have in the 9 movies.
I never make comment, but WOW what a good argument to the way history is seen
Very interesting, it's clear that once a side is morally legitimated they can do whatever evil they want. I'm tired of movies were the "good" people kills dozens, and the "bad" people captures them without even hurting... supposed to be evil?
I think you forgot the fact that C3po was made by Anakin Skywalker. So, any deceitful tendencies you talked about, 3po got were made by your hero, Lord Vader.
i knew aways knew deep down that there was good inside the empire when i was a kid
Your moral instincts serve you well
MATE, YOU NEED TO BE ON THE TELLY BOX.
I feel so bad for stormtroopers
Although I agree with most points I do want to point out that Palpatine being a Sith LORD, would, in turn, mean that he is with the separatists since Dooku was his apprentice, so Mace accusing him of betrayal etc. makes sense. It doesn't mean that he should take Justice in his own hands though.
The Galactic Empire( Peace-loving space meritocracy) are trying to bring peace, prosperity, stability and security.
Isn't one of the Jedis most know abilities is communication or control of non sentient beings so Luke's killing of all these creatures is because he'd rather kill than communication through the force
I really love this take on things!!!!
Please stop! This is so brilliant, I can't breathe anymore from laughing!
After watching the series thus far, i can certainly see your perspective. It indeed comes from a pragmatic view of their situation.
While war is ultimately pointless, in the fray, reason would be needed.
Though, it's probably more as Machiavelli first envisioned.
7:16 i laughed so much at this one xD Thats so good, i love your Videos!
Ok the storm trooper chase actually hit deep
Another awesome vid. :)
Thanks Laura! I'm glad you liked it.
I agree with most of these points but I don’t think the scout trooper said get help to the others for medical attention, I see it as him getting the other troopers to get back up, not for Hans medical help
RIP Brothers in Arms
I have another thing to point out. Han Solo was going to shoot the Ewok chief after being surrounded by the ewoks. The ewoks are just creatures trying to eat to survive. The rebels got in their traps and the rebels was their food.
You are a real wild boy. I love this channel.
Not going to lie, these videos are pretty amazing and I am sure are inspired by Clerks.
Thanks for the compliment!
It was more of The Empire Did Nothing Wrong on Reddit.
I agree with everything except when you said that palpatine did nothing wrong. He kinda did the entire clone wars. But windu and his boys didn’t know about it or have any proof, therefore they still couldn’t arrest him.
🤯 My childhood was a lie.... Thanks 😂
I miss a chapter dedicated to the ewoks and how they cook their prey alive.
Oh my god🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ how could I have missed that?
Your videos are hilarious and interesting
This is why i believe qui gon jinn is one of the only good jedi. He follows the force not the corrupt jedi order
I can't tell if this is serious, a joke, or sarcasm. Either way it does bring up alot of good points.
I’ve watch all these episodes an My only doubt is 4:27 “the time has come” sounds abit like he was waiting for the time, as if it was a plan “66- final solution type ish”
This video brought to you by Coruscant Lawyers Inc. Proud supporters of our benevolent empire
when you think about the history of Anakin Skywalker, sequels make now much more sense. in episode 6, Anakin restored balance. only luke remained.
With how compliant storm troopers are it begs the question of if they are still clone troopers. Meant to be helpful and violence only under orders.
Palpatine made sure he was in the right legally, it just comes down to the morality of whether you can love democracy or can you not?..
I have more to add to this, in a new hope, why didn't the rebels send any of there men to rescue leia when she was on the death star, they clearly had some stolen imperial ships just like in return of the Jedi that they could of used but they didn't which I think is strange
Amazing point!
@@IAmJimHuss I thought of it after watching this video, I just subscribed too👍
Thanks! Hopefully work levels out and I can post more regularly soon.
See you around!
@@IAmJimHuss welcome! and good luck with everything man,👍
We will watch your career with great interest.
2v2 seems like a balance restored, prophecy has been completed
"And keep in mind, Palpatine has broken no laws-"
PALPATINE IS A WAR CRIMINAL!!!!
Point 1:Actions during the trade blockade of naboo
Point 2:Clone Army and Order 66
Point 3:Alderaan
Mace Windu were on their way to arrest the traitor of the Republic. Palatine resisted arrest and murdered three Jedi. At that point it's safe to assuma Mace Windu has to fight back. Mace didn't attack him. Palpy made the first move. As much as I love ma boi the Senate he was definetly a War criminal.
