Fantastic Video!! Ultimately it's about what makes you happy. There's no point being stuck behind the confined walls of the corporate world doing what doesn't make you happy. Bold decision to make, but all the good ones seem absurd from the onset. Follow your dream, and have fun doing it.

I can totally relate! It is certainly a though decision to quit your job, however it comes a stage in our lives when we have to stand for ourselves and our future regardless of what it is convenient or not

Really inspiring video, Salome. As I've always said in life... "everyone wants to be happy." The question then is if you're not... why not? Answering those questions may mean taking some tough decisions and even taking some risks in life too. But you only get one life, and if your happiness is the ultimate goal, then those risks are most definitely worth taking. You've seen your dream, now all you have to do is follow it. I've decided to take a vacation for 6 weeks but in that time I'll be planning out my future. If you're anything like me I already have an 'idea' or 'plan' it's just about how it's going to be executed.
Not having a job isn't what makes you unemployed, it's not having a vision for your life that you are actively driving that is the meaning of unemployment.. Passing time in an unhappy situation isn't employment but unhappiness ... However we must separate the cross of growth and sacrifice from the cross of unhappiness that comes from a lack of fulfillment ... Happy employment is about fulfillment

I recently did this, although it wasn't premeditated, and now 3 weeks later I'm panicking. My last job sucked the life out of me, and now I hate the things I loved and built my career around. Although I'm looking for work, none of it sounds like something that could make me happy. Now I'm running out of money and have no choice but to wait tables. I feel like I've ruined my life, and I didn't even like it before.

Well done on leaving something that was draining you- so many people don't have the guts to leave a situation that's making them unhappy. You've won just by putting your happiness first. Secondly, be patient (very patient) with yourself and the process, it can get scary especially when money is running low but you have in no way ruined your life! I thought about this today, and I wanted to come back and tell you that for the last 2 months I have successfully worked for myself, and I've never been happier with the direction my career is going in. It's crazy how suddenly things can take a turn, and it's been a solid reminder that you really can't plan your life out. Sometimes fate has bigger plans.

how can you intentionally be unemployed, if you are not lookiing for working it means you are not part of the labour force hence you are not unemployed
