I missed out on this box but I'm not mad about it anymore 😂 I would have been disappointed, it feels like an outlet box of leftovers!
I agree it was not one of the best boxes for sure. Disappointing because this was the next box after that amazing Valentine’s Day one.
I've been waiting to hear your review on this box. I was one of those who felt disapointed in this box. I was planning to take a year off of getting a mystery box from lug. But they lured me in with the Valentine's Day box and I was so delighted with the Valentine's box!❤So when they advertised this one I caved. I too had hoped for a new bag or a new pattern. The pike is fairly new but it is not my type of bag. Your thoughts on the stripes are mine exactly. Plus I think the Icepop stripes were the least pretty of the stripes they have available . I also do not like the pattern on the Flare. Plus its an old pattern. The mini swizzle is ok. But both the flare and mini swizzles have been on sale for deep discounts on Luglive very recently. The Flare and Swizzle and this pike felt like Wharehouse dumps to me. Which if that is what they advertised -a mystery box of overstocked old items, then ok. I do like the mug and pens. The mug is not on either Lug website. So We guess that was the brand new item. But like you, I'd rather have a new unseen before bag or a new pattern. They've had so many new items recently I had hoped we'd get a brand new bag or backpack. I am fairly satisfied with their solution. It was a quick response and I appreciate that. But again I agree with you Lug wins with their solution more than us. Not sure what I'll get with the 100.00 and 50.00 coupon ..... I'm eyeing the Dilly Dally and Stroll . But I might wait to see if anything new grabs me this summer. Thanks for your review! I always find we have similar reactions to Lug!😊Have a good week!
Oh my gosh I had this whole long reply typed out and lost everything. Let me try this again. I did not know the Flare was on Luglive for so cheap. I did not see an expiration for the gift card did you? I want to wait until something new comes out in matte luxe to use mine. They need to be more consistant with their boxes. Everyone was hyped up after the awesome Valentine's Day box they purchased this one and it was such a letdown. They did they same thing in 2021 They had amazing Spring and Summer boxes. In my opinion the best ones yet. Everyone who didn't get a box was sad and said they were definitely going to get the next one and it was a huge fail with the VL backpack. This one may end up being my last box I buy and I'll just stick with buying what I know. Really if you are not getting something just exclusive to the box then what's the point. My disappointment was on the price of the Box, since it was advertise with a value of $266. Pike $46 on Luglive (release other colors), Tervis mug $17 amazon (similar) Pens $15 on Luglive, Flare 2 $24 max on Luglive, mini swizzle $12 on Luglive and I don't count the coupon because it requires me to spend more, and I don't always use them. I could have gotten all this products for less than the price that I paid.
I don’t watch Luglive anymore so I had no idea the flare was selling that cheap. Wow!!!! I really hope you get something good from the gift card. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Hello Amanda! I am so surprised by this box. I think for most, The purpose of the box is to get things that others don’t have but This looks like a box of leftovers. 😢. Those pens and tervis were the best thing in that box in my opinion. I haven’t been buying much Lug lately but I had to tell you I FINALLY got a hopper shorty on a great sale and I got watermelon. @@AmandaPerkins815I’m doing good. So blessed. Just to let you know, you can use your $100 with the $50 you got in the box. I think what people are doing is ordering over $150, putting the $50 in as a coupon and then the $100 as a gift card. And, bless it, I’m glad I didn’t. I already have the Flare 2, not a fan of the Pike, I’m swimming in Lug pens, but the mug is cute. Like you, I’m not sure about the mystery boxes in the future. I’m happy with the Valentines box, but two weeks later it was all for sale on LugLive for anyone to purchase. Not very exclusive. Well, enough negativity. I’ve got lots to be thankful for. Wow! That flare 2 was a BAD move on Lug’s part. I think it took them a long time to get rid of those bags even with huge discounts on Live. Also, for most of the bags on Live, the patterned ones like this flare 2 (bright floral?) were the last to go even at 70% off.
I always enjoy your unboxing videos Amanda. They are honest and funny. And they resonate with my thoughts too. I’m not sure about the direction lug is going these days. I’m buying lots of their discounted items on Live these days before the brand morphs into something totally different. I think their designs were at their best about 5 years ago.

I agree that some of their best bags are the older ones. I would love to see some old bags be brought back in matte luxe!!! I honestly kind of wonder now if Lug was trying to offload their old stuff they couldn’t sell and see how it went over. I feel like maybe they were a little prepared for some backlash from this. I got this box and was soooo disappointed especially after the great valentines box. Usually the box will give a clue so i was looking for purple and butterflies. Oh well. I agree with another commenter that it feels like a clearance drop. I hope it was planned this way. The notice of disappointment came out fast snd i didn't receive my box for almost a week. Not sure i will use any of the items. Hope i can find something to use the gift cards on. Keep up the great videos.
Yea I wonder if they had planned all along to do a "clearance drop" and see how it went over. If it wasn't well received then they already had a plan in place 🤷🏻♀. I do know this is my last box. No reason to take the gamble when there isn't anything in it that isn't available elsewhere for cheaper. Have a great day!!
Oof! I would have been disappointed with that box too. I agree with your thoughts. I HATE the pattern of that Flare. I returned my Pike. I find it difficult to use my phone through that plastic window. I’ve tried it before with the peekaboo. Didn’t work for me then, doesn’t work for me now. The only thing I really would have been pleased with would have been that Tervis mug. Pens - sure. Coupon, yeah, but you only benefit from that if you spend MORE money. 👎
Girl definitely not up to par with some of the other boxes. $129 for a Tervis mug- what a great deal🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

So this was my first time buying the mystery box and what a DISAPPOINTMENT and waste of money!! Thats the most expensive tumbler i have ever purchased because that's the only thing I kept. I agree with another reviewer it's a outlet box.

This was my first mystery box too and it will be my last. I also am only keeping the Tervis cup. What a waste of money!
