I remember when 3 was standard. Driver, courier, and guard. Just in terms of a passive deterrent, it makes sense. There are always gonna be less robbers who want to rob a 3-person team vs a 1-person team.

I'm sure the company just looks up the cost of paying two people, and the amount of loss on average, and if it's more to pay two people, they cut one. It's sad how companies value money over safety/ lives. Unfortunately, that's how it is a lot of times.

Armored Car service companies like to 'nickel and dime' on security including staffing their trucks correctly, A lone employee cannot be expected to navigate the vehicle, handle the drop/pickup AND maintain the requisite situational awareness to avoid this. When this falls out of the news cycle, i wouldn't be surprised if Brinks terminates the driver on some technicality.

Only get paid 16 per but I'm in the middle of bumfk Missouri where the dollar goes a lot further than California and most other places.
After a month or two it goes to 18.50, as well I get to wear a bulletproof vest so that's kinda cool. Idk. Lol

All bars or any place that serves alcohol are gun free zones. And, even if you did shoot those robbers you'd probably get arrested since you are escalating the situation when your life isn't the one that is in danger
