I just went +1 sceptre and Rise of the Phoenix and I was still obliterating T16 juiced maps. The only problem that you face 10% of the time is when there's a lone tanky mob. If you want to kill bosses, just throw in a harbinger sextant and even the juiced boss goes boom
Yeah that would've taken quite long but that search I showed for the 100D one was from a search through PoB to find similar ones! Every single Elegant Hubris with similar mods costs a ludicrous amount:( I should've made that a bit clearer
Excellent Video, I did almost every step the same as what you described last league when I attempted to follow BigDaddy's Armor stacker scion build, they had various PoB's with estimated budget and a few videos on crafting items but not all of them. Figuring out the crafting methods for helms/rings/gloves was a lot of fun and crafting cluster jewels myself saved me 100's of divines
This is a common mistake for newbie. Do not follow or reroll build guides unless you have tons of currencies. I used to reroll characters after getting 5 divs lol. Could've used it for an upgrade for my build to push harder content and get more divs.
This is a trick I always do with popular builds. Not always effective, but like 9/10 leagues it is. Same as was mentioned about just using a different tag on the gem than what the Creator has. People just don't look.

Also very crucial, learn to craft. A lot of rares for popular builds get really expensive for mediocre items, you can easily make better items yourself for cheaper. And if you're smart you keep crafting and sell those ;)
And if you are crafting, just be aware of what "failures" are worth money. You might hit something that is bad for you but good for someone else. Then you can stop there, sell it, and start again rather than continuing to throw currency at it.
I think two things that deserve their own video altogether because I see a lot of people not knowing how to do it properly, is using the trade site efficiently. How does the count work, how to utilize not, how to utlize weighted sum. These can really help out getting as many hits as humanly possible for the lowest price available if you know how and when to apply them. Secondly, and I'm gonna be honest this one I'm a bit lost on myself still as well because I rarely play builds that use them, how to properly search and shop for legion jewels really deserves a video on its own because those things have a lot going on and it's not telling the player any of it up front.
I have a pleasure to watch this video, not only because its really good and informative - but also because its exactly how im this game, taking the pricey build and make them cheap with some "hidden" techs.
This is so true. the forbidden jewels for my scion support were giga expensive so I just speced that one and got jewels for the other ascendancy for a third of the price
Also for medium cluster jewels check for a Megalomaniac that has good mods. You lose a jewel socket for a 3rd notable, but that can be worth it for the right price and the right notable.
My favorite way to make easy currency is to search for the exact piece and just change the resistance type. Then flip it via harvest and usually double my money if not more. Because people don't know you can change Fire/Lightning/Cold around via Harvest. So stupid but it works.
AOE on boots is possible as well. And instead of explode from chieftain you can also use cursed enemies you kill explode. one mod even on the unique jewel is enough. you get the nice occultist pops. nice for clearing, no difference. Even T16 is smooth this way. And you have the cheap option for +2 fire res on the magic charms. In general with this build, don´t run maps without mobs at the boss (like cemetery). Go for Jungle Valley or Burial Chambers. Something like that.
Very usefull. I have to do that anyways because i never made that much currency in any League and i dont have time to go for more than 2 Builds in a single League (because i have a Real Life).

The idea of the vid is to get you to look around at other alternatives! I promise that there are other solutions that I deliberately left out to prevent them from becoming expensive :) It absolutely will take some work and research but you'll learn a lot and save a lot of currency!
also fun tip all the vaal versions of auras have the duration tag sure its a little harder to get a 21 vaal version of a gem but it can save you huge amounts on items with good corruptions
The main problem with new players who play meta builds are rare item prices, because not everyone can craft things at the beginning. Even I was a victim of it for many leagues lol.
this is why when my friends ask me, hey, what build should I play this league. I always tell them anything but the build from major poe RUclipsrs and maxroll. You will be paying 2x, 5x, 10x, if not even more for a build that is half strong than another build that isn't on the list. Same with farming strategies, by the time you see someone posted that he made xxx amount of currency with xxx strategy is already too late. so where do you find builds? go to poe ninja, pick a skill/class that has ~ 5% or lower usage rate. and same for farming, just do whatever strategies that you did NOT see in the videos.
Is it possible you can make a guide on how brand new players can earn currency? I'm in high yellow maps and still don't have a single Divine orb or know how to.
The other guy is right that essences are one of the best easy farms. Essences are the same in any tier map, so just run T1 (or higher if it's just as comfortable), kill the essences as you complete each map, and then sell them on trade once you have some decent size stacks.
I'll add my reply to this as well for essence farming, (tbf I cleared T16 maps before doing essence) but as long as you have the 3 major nodes for essence + 7th gate with all other 6 gates allocated for atlas, I made about 70 div just this weekend on essence alone and only ran t1-t3 maps I had bulk of but Glacier, Dunes, Fields, and Chateu were the easiest and quickest to run if I had to choose a favorite

what about a 20% avoid ailments notable on the legion jewel? or would it mess with fulcrum igniting us? cuz ive seen 80% shock avoid and 20% avoid ailment jewels,
I would say this is not exactly sound advice. If Items for a league starts is 100 div that means your better off starting a different build that is cheaper as most league starters at the beginning of a league that can do all content in one go without having to reroll a new character usually get slapped with all the items jacking up in prices until about a month and a half in. Realistic thing a player can do is roll a mapper and farm currency toward a real build because there is no real way in avoiding rolling a few character until you can actually play the endgame. Cheaping out on gear may make sense but a few percentages here and there and extra buttons add uo which leaves you with a char that gets one shot or does no damage.
i always end up having 100k dps copying builds vs the build that cost 60 mirrors with 200mil, idk got like 9divines maybe i can get something close to it
For the glove , do you need enlighten lvl 4 or more for you aura gem?? Lvl its enought ? Lvl 4 enlight is realy expensive comparé of à lvl 3. Maybe you need +2 sockt gem ..
Enlighten does NOT benefit from any +2 gem vaal implicit (because it is a support gem with almost no tags). The only vaal implicit you can use for enlighten in gloves/boots is "+1 to socketed gems". Before buying Enlighten lvl4 , check in PoB how much unreserved mana you have with your set up. Depending on the build, there are many options for solving auras: 1. Instead of buying a lvl4 enlighten, you can grab an extra point in the tree with reservation efficiency 2. Or maybe grab a cheap jewel with reservation efficiency implicit 3. Maybe annoint a passive with that stat 4. Or even level down some of your auras (looking at you precision, vitality and clarity)
affliction is my 2nd league, i do minion last league and it suck, so i decided to do minion again, same build, same guide, and went to trade when i had some currency. and there i find out minion stuff this league are stupidly expensive its annoying
Ironically once league start happened i noticed my guides "budget bossing build" was actually over 100 divines just one gem is half the price. At that moment i branched into my own tree and started eating every orb of regret i see until i have enough to replace my tree when i get another 37 divines out of 100 to finish it up however my uber kills can take 30 minutes atm when they should be getting 2 shot later on. Budget build my azz. He was like yeah 50c for this 30c for this 15c for this i was like ooo fee days of grinding and i finish it. League starts and prices skyrocket on gems and the wands and my cinderswallow.
people who play are impatient by nature and want to get to the highest level, hence the prices at auctions. Unfortunately, their prices are the fault of players who buy what they wrote in POB and do not think how to replace it
so basically you need tons of experience to understand POB guides in order to problem solve/replace expensive gears you are avoiding to pay higher for. ppl copy for a reason. they are not good enough to understand as someone who played POE as a job for years :} just my 50cent thanks for the coold video.
Yup! Knowledge saves currency but the only way to get better is to think and learn! Ps. I don't play PoE as a job (this is just a hobby!) But maybe you were referring to other streamers who are full time 😊
I've tried to follow guides point for point and it just doesn't work. It's all based on gear, you can get close but everything has to be flexible. And if it takes certain uniques or a fifty div amulet. Well then get grinding or find something close to it... You gotta piece this shit together, point by point. I.e. min max...
It's not meant for beginners, though. It's for endgame builds that beginners will never touch. Beginners don't even earn enough money for builds like these. Best builds are those that you can leaguestart with and advance until AND INCLUDING end game. Swapping builds is absolutely not what a beginner should do.
Yeah like Maax said, this is more aimed at intermediate players. But even if you're new, you can still try to identify problems and then use PoE wiki to find solutions
I don’t care about build guides. I want to make my own build. That’s the point of playing a game like PoE. What I do want is to know how to make a 6 socketed linked piece of armor. I have gone through hundreds of fusing orbs and not been able to make a 6 socket linked item.
It depends on the item. Is ist corrupted or non corrupted? Corrupted is often easy with littel luck. Non corrupted is luck or pay the safe 1500 fusing on the craftbench. Corrupted is the way to buy tainted fusing crafting 4 links on the bench and use the tainted fusing if it goes up to 5 link repeat for 6 links or 4 links again. If it goes to 3 link use bench for 4 links repeat the other steps again.
Ehhh. There are actually so many alternatives. People may try to bump the price on certain things, but it will inevitably come back to reality because way fewer people buy them.

you totally DONT have to use the fulcrum. idk why all the creators are like "you need this as baseline" you dont need it at all. the ony thing u kinda "need" is cloak of flame and ether the bereks ring for ignite prolif, or a cluster with ignite prolif. i played this build last league with a 6l rf and a 4l fire trap, i did some maps with noregen with only my 4l fire trap and clearing juiced t16 was just fine dont listen to the guys who tell you that you need fulclum, you really dont. if i wasnt so lazy i would make a guide clearing t16 in like 1/2 white gear with no stats or some shit to proove my point. on sc this build literally costs like 10c if u just use rise of the phenix. and "normal" gear.

Just don't make the build to start with. Problem solve, the build makers are the people that brought up all the important items before they released there videos and they bank on people's FOMO.
Then literally find more alternatives. Min maxing in PoE will always be expensive since most of the "best" items are usually clear cut from the rest especially on clusters. For example, Towering Threat and Assert Dominance is pretty much BIS for this build for a medium AoE cluster and that's why Tuna recommended it but is it really required for the build to function? No, it just amplifies the AoE for QoL and even with other notables that have less AoE or even removing the cluster entirely and investing somewhere else on the tree and the build will still work. The reason why you want (not need) Towering Threat and Assert Dominance is because it's the best combo for the build and getting the same exact combo would be min maxing the build. The problem with noobs is that they just literally follow everything 1:1 including the min maxing part of trying to squeeze out the most dps or QoL in the build without even understanding how the build works and just blindly buy whatever is on the PoB. You can pretty much play PoE without needing to min max to the absolute degree. There are pretty much so many different solutions for so many different problems in the game, how you solve it or try to solve it is pretty much just gonna be dictated by your budget and game knowledge. TLDR What Lolcohol is literally trying to say here is that you could try to find other alternatives to what was on the PoB and if you just blindly follow once again and just buy the items he suggested in this video without considering the price and possible alternatives then you probably should watch the video again and try to understand the message.

I guess there wasn't time, but the timeless jewel calculator is also really good for finding an almost identical jewel for a fraction of the price.

5div is plenty for a reroll from your league starter actually. But don't reroll constantly once that second build starts to get into roadblocks

If you use vaal version of aura skill you can also use +2 duration for your glove corruption

go back to white maps and farm essence. that should be enough to get your build online

people who play are impatient by nature and want to get to the highest level, hence the prices at auctions. Unfortunately, their prices are the fault of players who buy what they wrote in POB and do not think how to replace it
so basically you need tons of experience to understand POB guides in order to problem solve/replace expensive gears you are avoiding to pay higher for.

I also put together this build, but I had difficulty killing the surviving “lucky” rare monsters. How do you deal with them?
TBH I ignore them, or try to draw in smaller packs to explode next to them. Alternatively you can use Vaal Breach but it costs about 8 Divs :(
unspec stun mastery, press vaal breach, spec stun mastery again
I've tried to follow guides point for point and it just doesn't work. It's all based on gear, you can get close but everything has to be flexible. And if it takes certain uniques or a fifty div amulet. Well then get grinding or find something close to it... You gotta piece this shit together, point by point. I.e. min max...

It's not meant for beginners, though. It's for endgame builds that beginners will never touch. Beginners don't even earn enough money for builds like these.
Best builds are those that you can leaguestart with and advance until AND INCLUDING end game. Swapping builds is absolutely not what a beginner should do.
Yeah like Maax said, this is more aimed at intermediate players. But even if you're new, you can still try to identify problems and then use PoE wiki to find solutions

I don’t care about build guides. I want to make my own build. That’s the point of playing a game like PoE. What I do want is to know how to make a 6 socketed linked piece of armor. I have gone through hundreds of fusing orbs and not been able to make a 6 socket linked item.
It depends on the item. Is ist corrupted or non corrupted? Corrupted is often easy with littel luck. Non corrupted is luck or pay the safe 1500 fusing on the craftbench.
Corrupted is the way to buy tainted fusing crafting 4 links on the bench and use the tainted fusing if it goes up to 5 link repeat for 6 links or 4 links again. If it goes to 3 link use bench for 4 links repeat the other steps again.

you totally DONT have to use the fulcrum. idk why all the creators are like "you need this as baseline" you dont need it at all.
the ony thing u kinda "need" is cloak of flame and ether the bereks ring for ignite prolif, or a cluster with ignite prolif.
i played this build last league with a 6l rf and a 4l fire trap, i did some maps with noregen with only my 4l fire trap and clearing juiced t16 was just fine dont listen to the guys who tell you that you need fulclum, you really dont. if i wasnt so lazy i would make a guide clearing t16 in like 1/2 white gear with no stats or some shit to proove my point.
on sc this build literally costs like 10c if u just use rise of the phenix. and "normal" gear.
So you played a completely different build that doesn't need the same items, got it.
it literally doesnt work without fulcrum since you can't prolif ignite efficiently

ive seen so many comments like "oh no the fulcrum is 20d i cant play it" sure you need it for the self ignite but its fine without too if u cant afford it.
@@kooshappreciator4773 what ? the ignite prolif has nothing to do with it, the only difference is u can run arround with that huge ignite and "speedclear". but in juiced maps there is so many mobs that u even prolif ignite everything anyways mosdt of the time. i played it without fulcrum last leage and its just fine .. you just need 70-80%+ ignite and lots of aoe. i bet noone of u ppl arguing here with me did even try without it.

Just don't make the build to start with. Problem solve, the build makers are the people that brought up all the important items before they released there videos and they bank on people's FOMO.

Then literally find more alternatives. Min maxing in PoE will always be expensive since most of the "best" items are usually clear cut from the rest especially on clusters. For example, Towering Threat and Assert Dominance is pretty much BIS for this build for a medium AoE cluster and that's why Tuna recommended it but is it really required for the build to function? No, it just amplifies the AoE for QoL and even with other notables that have less AoE or even removing the cluster entirely and investing somewhere else on the tree and the build will still work. The reason why you want (not need) Towering Threat and Assert Dominance is because it's the best combo for the build and getting the same exact combo would be min maxing the build. The problem with noobs is that they just literally follow everything 1:1 including the min maxing part of trying to squeeze out the most dps or QoL in the build without even understanding how the build works and just blindly buy whatever is on the PoB. You can pretty much play PoE without needing to min max to the absolute degree. There are pretty much so many different solutions for so many different problems in the game, how you solve it or try to solve it is pretty much just gonna be dictated by your budget and game knowledge.
TLDR
What Lolcohol is literally trying to say here is that you could try to find other alternatives to what was on the PoB and if you just blindly follow once again and just buy the items he suggested in this video without considering the price and possible alternatives then you probably should watch the video again and try to understand the message.
don't buy from tft, but use them to make ur builds.
