Hi, Em! Some favorites: The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel The O’Malley Chronicles by Dee Henderson, along with the prequel entitled “Danger In the Shadows”. There’s another book in the series which comes after the prequel called “Jennifer: An O’Malley Love Story”. It’s a “back story” book, and mercifully short (haha), but it will help fill in some holes you might see in the subsequent books. If you don’t care about that, the series is still very good. “Just Breathe” by Susan Wiggs. It had some moments with me howling with laughter. A very suspenseful set of books is the Liam Taggart and Catherine Lockhart series by Ronald Balson which starts with the book, “Once We Were Brothers”. “The Memory Keeper’s Daughter” by Kim Edwards “The Last Promise” by Richard Paul Evans “Bookends” and “Mixed Signals” by Liz Curtis Higgs “Voyage of the Heart” by Soraya Lane “A Skeleton in God’s Closet” and “More Than a Skeleton” by Paul Maier (some parts are very technical and slow, but overall a great read) “Final Approach” by John J Nance “The Summer of Lost Letters” by Hannah Reynolds “Flying Angels” by Danielle Steel “The Blue Bottle Club” by Penelope Stokes That’s all for fiction. I’ll do nonfiction another time.
I know, I wasn’t trying to be contrarian, but maybe my expectations for some books were too high based on booktube recommendations. Glad you enjoyed the video!
O Caledonia, Remarkably Bright Creatures, Crown of Midnight, and None of This is True are on my TBR. I’m also about to start the Expanse series because my brother loves it so much.
Feel free to comment recommendations for 2024!
