I'm so glad someone decided to put computers in cars, what a brilliant idea. I still drive my 1970 muscle car thank you!

Thanks very much. Am having a reduced power, traction control and stability system fault code intermittent. Replaced MAP and MAF sensors, replaced throttle body and it will not relearn from the standard idle 3 minute procedure for GM. Am replacing the wheel speed sensors next and considering replacing the accelerator pedal with the sensor there included. Have a scanner on order that will reset the throttle body and will be running scans on the engine sensor system and transmission for any related codes. I only have had a MAF correlation code P0068 pop up for active codes. I also had a P0420 code but replaced the Manifold Cat Converter and the upstream and downstream O2 Sensors. I'm hoping that having the ability to read the engine and transmission sensors rather than just generic scan codes will help me resolve the issues I've been having. It's my understanding the Launch Creader CRP129E will show each sensor I select to check as well as an overall health report for the vehicle. Yes I'm one of those guys with a GM Truck that is going nuts over their reduced engine power, check stabilitrack, and traction control faults displaying on the DIC. I couldn't replace the Throttle Position Sensor itself because I couldn't find one for the 2012 3.7 L Colorado. Anyways there isn't much I haven't tried short of replacing the accelerator pedal and the ecm plus the wheel speed sensors. This is a nightmare situation for many GM owners. Thing is Chevy had a recall TSB on the TPS they never even notified me. I'm POed at them.

Excellent: Succinct information I needed to help resolve issues having with APP1 & APP2 voltage values not getting near the 5 Ref Value and the throttle plate not responding.. i.e., no input from CPM to Mtr+ no Mtr- of the Throttle body. Throttle Sig1 = 5V Ref, Sig2 = 0 V ref. NEITHER would move when moved Accelerator. Strangely, the Throttle Plate ANGLE would change from 0.0* to a max of 24.77. It would hit the max with only 30% depression of the pedal and not change the rest of the arc to the floor. The APP1 & APP2 moved inversly with App1 0.43 to 4.57; APP2 : 0.21 to 2.27. I now understand also, why all hte other related sensors threw codes... they stopped working in response to the illogical data sets from TP & AP sensors. Thank you again. Outstanding teaching with graphs & scope captures....P.S. just got my 4 channel Pico in addition to my AutoEnginuity Scann tool. Will compar TP S1, TPS2 , and APP S1, APP S2 concurrently... should be interesting.... Tom Jones, New Orleans, LA ( GOOOO SAINTS! )

I want to test and change the sensor if that is what my 2004 SRX needs but not sure were to begin. Will a p2138 cause engine misfire codes p0300 p304 p305? Or has the misfires caused the APP sensor to read incorrectly? I have more time to waste than money lol.

Would it be possible for a P2138 to set very intermittently due to Two-Footed Driver on a 2006 Subaru Outback? Or any make or model of that era?
I can't reproduce the symptoms, can't catch a glitch on the scope. The car is on its second, new OE APPS/Pedal assembly, due to I'm at my wits end and there was a 0.2 volt difference between the first APPS and the second(both within spec though. I'm in the process of exploring the ETC power relay circuit. The P2138 definition Subaru offers is confusing as it describes this DTC as a circuit voltage value difference between APP1 & 2 or as a Rationality issue in the converted/perceived angle differences between the APPS and the TPS.
    Thanks in advance!

06 outlander has 4.88v on app sensor connector. Replaced it with an aftermarket. Is that ok?
Car will drive fine sometimes when turned on then once the brake is hit bam like you said.
I do have a brake light indicator on not abs but a yellow brake light. I'm starting to understand this technology that you have explain very well. Also noticed my battery light came on lightly then went away.
