Instead of basting the salmon with a brush, have you guys ever considered using a pump spray bottle or some kind of spritzer bottle? As in is the maple syrup thick, or is it watery enough that it could spray out of a bottle. Just to make it more convenient for you guys.
Oh YUM! Wish we had salmon around here. Walleye, Northern Pike and Bass are about the extent of decent fish to eat. We also have a lot of bullheads (they look like a cat fish with stingers) but I don’t know of anyone who eats them. My grandma would but I don’t think there is anything she wouldn’t eat lol They get a muddy taste-not pleasant.
@@VenisonforDinner oh she was. Welded her own tool, forged her own knives and split her own wood until a year before she passed when she went into the nursing home. Stubborn too lol she would only use her gas cook stove to heat water for her instant coffee otherwise she used her wood cook stove and wringer washer. The dryer she used to “fluff” her towels. Lol
Theres a lot of nuance to how long to smoke it, you need to watch that part of the video for me to explain when its done. Depends on what smoker youre using.
Ah salmon: the taste of high summer. Greetings from Alaska!
Oh yes!
I love candied salmon! My dad used to smoke a lot of meats and mullet; he would have loved a smoker like yours. You guys have a great day!
Thanks for watching!
My mouth is watering watching this! I will have to try this when I get a smoker going.
You will love it!
I've been living in Canada for over 15 years now...cannot believe I haven't tried this yet! thanks for the recipe!
Hope you enjoy it!
That is a brilliant load of salmon, ye are so lucky. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching
Yummy! I have the same Tupperware container! lol I love it!
Love salmon! It looked so yummy! Enjoy!😊
Yum makes me want to have a road trip and salmon fish
I've made it once and it was incredible. Mostly I smoke it.
It's definitely a favourite around here!
Great fishing and the candy salmon looks amazing! Wondered why it looked like Marius tossed the row back?
Good question!

Definitely sounds more convenient but I think the maple syrup is too thick.
Hello everyone and God Bless all of you

What a great tutorial! Looks so delicious. Val C ❤🙏🏻
We are fortunate to live where we do.
@@VenisonforDinner we have bass croppie and catfish. Don’t think I am able to can any of these or that they would taste like anything canned.
Hey first again, yeehaaa.
🙌🙌
So you don't even tell us how long to smoke it for? In instructions...
