This is a very cool product and I like it more thank I thought i would. Been using it a lot while playing with the SteamDeck. It’s pretty great.

I love using it so I can get better sound while still watching TV together with my family, our TV doesn't have any soundbar or anything (my mother is a stickler for aesthetic) so the sound experience have always been a bit subpar but with this it's no longer a concern for me.

i use this all the time as my wife works from home and this allows me to watch some tv or play a game while shes working in the other room. Such a great product.

I love mine! I use it in my home theatre room to watch shows without having the surround sound system on so I don’t disturb the rest of the house late at night (connected to my Apple TV)

I was gonna ask if this is okay to connect to apple tv. Thnx for the info.
Is it the same quality connecting to bluetooth apple tv to speaker or is it better using the bluetooth dongle connecting via optical cable?

@@kuemagecollector I just connect via Bluetooth. The newer Apple TVs don’t have an optical output anymore

@@kuemagecollectorthe Puck is mostly for more gapless audio so you can wear it while also having the TV speaker on. I used the Puck with my Samsung TV and other people can't actually hear the NS7 while watching along with the TV's speaker. It's that instantenous.

Nice thing is that you can get this sound anywhere that supports it. I’ve been using it while we’ve been travelling and it’s been great.

The big question I have is, can I use it along with the existing Sony speakers on the TV? So, my wife can listen to it quietly, but I can crank it up louder on my shoulders? Or does the connection turn off the Sony TV speakers? And if it does keep the Sony TV speakers on, will the sound be sinked with the neckband speaker? In otherwards all the speakers both on the TV and the neckband work together?

Good luck on the new TV thing! 🙂
You would certainly need to be in a solo watching situation. I have a sound device that takes over the sound output of my TV allowing blue tooth connection to my hearing aids. But nobody else can hear the TV. So it gets used as much as this would.

Yeah probably. But I have been using it a lot with my steam deck and it works great for playing games with that.

Wow great review of the Sony NS7! So it sounds like with the Sony "puck" device, when we play PS5 online games like Call of Duty Warzone/MW3, there will be no audio lag?
Fingers crossed this is the case-- big SONY fan, currently very pleased the the Avantree Torus neck speaker. But if this NS7 has no lag when PS5 gaming--- will definitely pick them up! Thanks!🎉

A review of any neckband speaker should include a direct comparison with the Monster Boomerang, which is probably the market leader and is about 1/3 of the cost of the Sony SRS-NS7.

Unfortunately the only way to get Atmos off these is to have a compatible sony XR TV which I have just , but found found them to be lacking and not as advertised as souround sound with only 2 speakers in them.
Honestly this product could have been a lot better if they put more speakers in it around maybe next time

Have you tried apple AirPod pros? Do you know they are only 2 tiny speakers and are the BEST selling AirPods with Spatial Audio? Now think about that with two bigger speakers, two passive radiators (subwoofer) and I believe 2 at the bottom as well hmmm? You see that? You don’t need 4, 6 speakers at that close range to fool your brain from hearing sounds around you. It’s magic and science in audio coding. You gotta try it before your last sentence my friend 😉

    These things are trash.
I tested them out on my Xbox series X and my Sony Bravia XR. Very disappointing indeed. Sound quality is lacking and spatial sounds are unremarkable.
