One of the logical reasons to choose shiva imo is vedic math which instead of 10 uses 9 as its base. It also as numbers together similar to numerology though it is a mathematical system for work. 9 and 0 share space. They are the same number in a way. If you draw a circle and number 1 to 9 on it. Now continue around the circle counting up. 10 will be above 1, 11 above two and so on. 11 is 1+1=2, 11 was above 2. And so on this goes for infinity, the corresponding number will always add up to its place on the circle. So... Still with me? 1 equals Brahma, shiva told him he would never be a god. 0 is 9 so zero is shiva, Vishnu is represented by the number 8, shiva told him he was on his way to being a god. 1+0+8=9. Brahma is particles, Vishnu is the wave. Shiva is whatever that is made of. And that's how Hinduism fits with quantum physics! :)
