I'm 48 and usually I don't listen to bands younger than me, but I have a soft spot for Hammerhedd since they were kids. And, I mean... this track is absolutely great, wow guys! Reminds me of Helmet but it still personal. Great great music!
Vocals definitely remind me of Page Hamilton. That snare drum sound also gives me John Stanier vibes. These boys are sick!
Try listening to the band - THE RIVAL SONS - They'll change your mind on that bands younger than you thing.

Helmet was the first thing that came to my 46 year old mind as well.
They've been on a Helmet kick for a bit now. Not a bad thing. Stanier's not going to play in Helmet again and Tomahawk is a different thing than this. Diggin it mah dudes, keep it going
Been watching them grow since their debut EP and they still haven’t reach their twenties. In 10 years they will be legends.

Lots of music to find and inspire them they might not have come across yet, love this though and seeing how the dad takes these guys around for tours is badass I wish we had more dads like that in the world! Saw them in Buffalo NY and they kicked ass!
@@Fraustyymy son just turned 14 in nov plays in a hardcore band since he 12 Sawn off there on Instagram I drive all his gear to gigs it’s fun. Everybody else around him is 27-38. Some kids play sports.. we drive to gigs the weekends

These kids have been playing most of their lives…. I’m sure they are well aware of their sound at this point.
@@andysixxlett2632 no way, music taste will change again once they move into adulthood, that's where I made the move from listening to metalcore and deathcore to more progressive stuff, everyone is different though!

Putting the Kansas talent into perspective. Seen them live last night, their musicianship is sick, love the time signatures in their work. Even with a low mic on vox live these guys moved the room with ease.

I’m not a fan of gutteral singing but this is kept right at a nice edge. The groove and intensity to the instruments!!!! Man they are heavy!!
