Bedwellty Pits

This Film feature a past and present resident of the infamous Bedwellty Pits area of Tredegar.
The first part of the film focus' on how life in the area has changed over the years. Emma Melton current resident of the street explores the history of the street leading up to the present.
The second part of the film features a Story written and read by Ieuan Sheen who grew up on the Street.

My family lived in bedwelty pits. Moved to cefn golau then.

I am doing some family Research and I just discovered my Great Grandfather either died in the pit or died later as a result of an accident at the mine in 1940. I would love to learn more if anybody has any links to any other sites? Thank you.
