I wasn’t there, but from the videos I’ve seen, I’m thinking that this whole concert was a rehearsal. Tyler is typically so in control of every detail of every concert. Watching a few videos from last night, I think he’s just having fun with Josh, for the fans. I really wish I could have gone 😢😢😢
It could also be a slight hint at the fact that Clancy (or even Tyler himself) as a character maybe doesn't enjoy bringing back that memory that he's narrating, adding to the "I don't wanna be here, I don't wanna be here". It's like Clancy is saying "no, we didn't rehearse it, we can't play that song" as a way to avoid talking about it
