They are always improving, and evolving... before you get mad at a manufacturer, ask yourself if you would buy 10,000 units (for resale with small margin of profit) of the thing you wish they had.... for instance, i would have no problem buying 10k Ankle gloves for a M&P shield (they will definitely sell), but I probably wouldn’t for a less popular gun for that method of carry
We won't get into the actual usefulness of optics in most handgun engagements. But civilians often blame manufacturers for not making up for the time they spent on their ass instead of at the range. Tsk tsk
I carry a full size 1911. Long and heavy, but it’s what I am the best with, it’s a trade off. I received a Galco Miami classic and tried carrying with it and found it to be very uncomfortable, and floppy. Can’t bend over to pick up a dropped anything without exposing the fact that I’m concealing. Plus the skinny straps are just too little. So I have particular needs. Need a shoulder holster that has wide straps, vertical holster with tie downs to the waist belt at least, and swivels upon drawing the weapon to make it easier to draw. Plus the weapon I’m carrying now has a fiber optic front sight that loves to catch, and a low pro rear sight that is flat in front. I’m not changing my sights so the holster has to accommodate them. Not only all of that, but I’d really like a custom 2 tone leather and POSSIBLY kydex holster with some kind of carvings or impressions etc to fancy it up. Maybe a silver concho too. So…. What say you Galco ?
I still prefer muzzle down carry shoulder rigs. I hate pointing the muzzle at my kids when driving especially if we crash. I know the guns have awesome internal safeties but I just can’t get over it mentally. I’ll take the wrist penalty with an old a school muzzle down rig.
People just haven't experienced how easy it is to use a vertical holster, For one thing if not completely vertical it's not a bit of an angle. It conceals a lot better specially if you're going to carry the full size. People just assume it's going to be very awkward but it's not.
I like galco shoulder holsters alot-I have 3 of them already, but they need to get with the times and truly innovate and make a shoylder holster that accommodates lights, and or reddots. After having a light on my gun, i always want a light on my gun
Tactical Response Crew, Thank you very much for uploading this highly informative interview. I have two questions though. Firstly, which one would be better for drawing the handgun with the weak hand, the horizontal or vertical shoulder holster? Secondly, what is the proper/better orientation of the thumb break? Thank you very much in advance for taking the time to answer my question.
Should make the mad carrier available for purchase seperate in brown, would make a great combo with the Falco kydex shoulder rig as their mag carrier is super bulky
@@Griever0121 Just checked them out, they have something for basically anything. Including different lights/lasers and rds compatible. Good looking out
Galco has an extensive option list to accommodate many makes and models, and has a great drop down menu system on their website where you can easily find if they have an option that works for you.
I want a shoulder holster but, I don't want or need one for something I can easily conceal and carry inside or outside my waistband. I also don't want or need one for a larger firearm I can access faster while tromping about in the woods from my chest, hip, or leg, Mr. Bear is unbelievably fast. What I want is one I can throw on quickly at the cabin as I head for the outhouse, or carry comfortably all night, and that's the hint, everything I want to carry in a shoulder holster has a light, small to large, some with an optic some without but all with a light and that's the problem because the options are endless. So, I want/need/would-like a high-quality comfortable shoulder rig that will accept custom easily swappable shells.
Make the Miami Classic ll for the S&W CSX and you will have a winner. Really not that hard to get a pistol form to do this, and I will buy one immediately, and so will others too...😀
With how gunfights happen I think its statically better for someone to carry a gun on each side instead of the 2 spare mags like stated weather for injuries or being faster than a reloaded or arming another ( an its nice to have access to a gun with either hand when in a fight..backups have turned into primaries may times in law enforcement ) ..and it balances the weight better ..that's the one thing I can see actually having a place in the real world that we see on movies..now for combat I think the more ammo the better but that's out my lane.. Darryl bolke has some great articles on shoulder rigs..it's simple not getting the attention it use to because of range rules
probably best shot show video i’ve seen thus far. great questions, helpful answers
Thank you sir
I just keep reading this comment
I was about to type the same comment :-)
I have many Galco Holsters but they don't seem to be able to keep up with the changing times lights & optics ...tsk...tsk

Adding more components to your pistol will always complicate your life. That is just the way things are.

Craft Holsters sell the Verticle Roto Holster. You might wanna check that out.

Man, you read my mind. No way am I pointing a muzzle at my kid who sits right behind me on the driver's side.
But can the holster fit the surefire x300 light along with the red dot cut out
same question

John Thomas Rourke and his two Detonics Combat masters in a double rig shoulder holster... I just dated myself....
Slurping down some mountain house beef stroganoff waiting for Paul to show up ……
6:05 The answer would be muzzles sweep down, then forward (inverted), then wrists uncross (& rotate upright) while muzzles are pointed down range.
I disagree, when carrying 2 guns in a shoulder holster you are exactly 20% cooler.
Miami Classic for a 1911 and a Miami Classic Lite for a S&W Shield. Work great, highly recommended.
If you don't want to run a spare mag pouch , is that removable?
Great video.
Thanks for posting.
And I also prefer the horizontal design. If it's good enough for Crockett, it's...well, you know the rest.
Damn! Mike with the burn!

I live the slated mag pouch, but I would like the vertical to be roto.
Man... Louis getting the scoop! I'd love to get a shoulder rig for a rds glock
Shoulder Rig: Better for driving, toilets and lower back pain!! I too would LOVE a M&P 9mm holster!! thanks!!

Galco makes some of the best
Need light compatible. Got an original parablem like it otherwise.
Good work guys

Any of these light bearing holsters?
Doubt it. Holster companies are still focused on basically stock guns
DeSantis has made a leather holster for I believe Glock with a light. I made one for a 1911, but it can really only be done with a thumb break.
Try Craft holsters. They make a lot of light bearing shoulder rigs.

I have a shoulder rig from them for my .38 super, beautiful work
I bought a Jackass for my 1911. What the hell is the loop for that hangs under the magazine pouch?
Belt tie down.
Louis, check whats new at TNVC and make a video if you would. Please & Thankyou
My shoulder holster unicorn is a "Lightning" style spring clip for service revolvers.
Pulling both pistol would be possible if you delay your weak side by a second or so before drawing the pistol
I’m love my security, six, but it is almost impossible to conceal carry even with the shoulder holster. I’m finding out.
Awesome. I like shoulder holsters.
Brother you had me at M&P 2.0c - good work!
Offset draw speed for dual carry. Its been done in many movies over time.
Make the Miami Classic ll for the S&W CSX and you will have a winner. Really not that hard to get a pistol form to do this, and I will buy one immediately, and so will others too...😀
Nothing for the Glock 40?
Galco is way behind the curve not having a full range of optic compatible yet.
A rig that will accept various iwb kydex holsters
You can draw both without muzzling yourself. But it’s a very wide and un natural draw and one gun being higher than the other.
Red dot is so unnecessary. Light barring holster is necessary but you see very few.
Good info all ways was interested kn shoulder carry. Dont think its for me.
Nobody did it better than Sonny Crockett.
And now you can too.
The Miami Vice II is a great way to pack.

And yet not for staccato
I'm a skate punk and sag my pants haha shoulder holsters let this happen
Youre not cool at all💀
WAY Overpriced
No. Worth every penny.
@ Nope
Optics on a defensive pistol is dumb. History will laugh at this fad.
