Very nice work. I like your use of jigs and how smooth you work. I also like how you use the scraper on the inside. I'm definitely going to try that technique
Thank you very much. A scraper is a very useful tool for turning both inside and outside. Be careful not to use a scraper at a 90-degree angle to the wood. It cuts really well if you have fresh burl.
I enjoy watching your work!!! I certainly hope the dustman is well compensated when it comes time to clean up your work area from all the chips and shavings you create!
First of all these are beautiful. I just have some concerns about the splat (isn’t that fungus?) and it being in direct contact with food? I don’t know much about it but that’s where my mind went.
thank you very much. I was wondering the same thing when you mentioned them, but the customer I was making these glasses for specifically wanted that kind of wood
Hello. Thanks for watching our video. In spraj is denatural alcohol. I use this that grains in the wood stand up. Than i dry mug and send it again. This way is much smoother surface when you use zhe mug every day. I also usaly send in both directions

do you want my opinion about finish or something else?
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you
Love the video and the end product 👍Question, what product did you use to seal the inside of the mug? Thanks
Thank you. For inside and oudside i used celulose sanding sealer to harden spalted wood, for finish i heve used Osmo top oil.

You could have made a lid with that piece that helped you turn the bottom 😊
Thank you for great idea. But this was an order that I could make exactly as is. Thank you again for watching our video😊
What do you use to finish a wood cup so that it can hold up to hot coffee?
I have used first sanding sealer and for finish i have used Osmo oil.
Osmo oil is food safe prodict and is also heat resistant
Can you list the types of tools you use from first to last? Thank you. Beautiful piece!
Whoops. Just saw that you did. Thank you!
@@susanmahler428 thank you. If you need more specific explanation i am always glad to tell you😊
Bonjour, ou trouvez vous la pastille que vous collez sous le mug ? merci
Bonjour Ce n'est pas un autocollant, c'est une pièce en plastique que je fais découper par un graveur local.
Do they leak?
Hahaha..... no they don't leak. I have seal them.
I would like to get thr tools you used
Just ask what you are interested in?

Thanks, I guessed you were "denibbing" somehow. You do great work.@@Pipejawood-Woodturning
@@BigAlNaAlba thank you. Can you tell me what do you mean with denibbing? I don't understand that🫣😊

@BigAlNaAlba ooo... thank you for explaining. I use alcohol because it waporate from wood faster than water
