      Hey bro… I think you have joined an engineering college…. I have graduated from NIT Calicut…. I am thinking of becoming a pilot after these many years… Like it’s a waste of my 4 year degree… Follow your passion…. But you can earn more money as a Software Engineer…still proper exposure is required… only IITs give these proper exposure….. So if it’s your 1st year….think wisely about your career…. Don’t worry about loans or wasting money as people spends crores for a good degree in top universities abroad….

    INCORRECT analysis on salary comparison. Most of my friends in Engineering line have reached 20-25lpa within first 8-10 years of workex(age around 30). Now if the salary keeps growing at a snail pace of 10% their lifetime earnings comes around 42 crores. And with an investment of 4-8 lacs.
    Here I am not even counting the exceptional candidates who work with startups and FANG companies, they are easily earning 60-80 lpa at age of 30. Their lifetime earnings would be way higher than the pilot.
    I don’t mean to discourage Pilot aspirants, but one should be clear on what they want to do Mon-Fri.
    PS: I am a management consultant, i used to love travelling-business class, staying in 5star hotels across the globe, but at age of 33, my preferences have changed to less travel and more family time

  • @sumeetyadav4724
    @sumeetyadav4724 11 месяцев назад +1

    When you calculated the interest on loan amount, you forgot about the simple interest that banks charge during the study period.
    Suppose you are taking a loan of 60 lakhs and the training period is 2 years, you are supposed to pay 10.8 lakhs as simple interest @ 9% as well as the (compound interest + principle amount) for the repayment period.
    So the final amount comes out to be 60+10.8+39=110 lakhs (1.1Cr) for 12 years at 9%

    Becoming a professional pilot is a huge financial undertaking. Absolutely do it if you love aviation and are passionate about flying. Don’t do it for the money - there will be a lot of disappointment. The financial strain and anxiety of a massive loan will take the joy out of flying.

    True that. But let me add something to it. You have considered ideal situations in all cases. But do you think life is ideal always? A pilot's job is highly uncertain. He has to follow strict routine, which brings a toll with time. He will be working on an industry which has least profitability. He will have strict pressures as per demands. Don't compare yourself with an engineer. His life time earnings Is far more than that you calculated. He will anyhow manage his income, but you wont be able to manage it if your industry shuts down. Think on it. Dont look down upon on any profession.

    The engineering salary can vary. For instance, my educational expenses for engineering were around 4 lakh at a decent private college. As a Software Engineer, my current in-hand salary is 2 lakh per month, plus additional benefits like stock options and a joining bonus. I anticipate that after four years, when I become a Senior Engineer at the age of 27, my monthly in-hand earnings will increase to between 3 to 4 lakhs, excluding stocks and bonuses. When considering the financial aspect, engineering seems like a better decision, especially because taking a loan of 1.2 crore seems quite risky to me. If I'm going to take a high risk, I might as well start a business. Engineering appears to be a risk-free option in this regard, at least it doesn't involve the fear of a 1.2 crore loan. However, I believe every profession has its own benefits and I truly respect all of them.

    Bro wright brothers were not the first ones to fly, they were the one who patent it first. Indian man the one found it 10 years before them. But we were servants of British that time

    same is going with me right now .. i m just done with my 12 boards exams .. i told my father about te passi of becoming a pilot .. but he still told me to do engineering , which i dont want to do it .i just dont like it . and then he said ki there is no surety that i will be able to make it ..also i am insecure abut my body ..being in aviation means perfect body ..i guess i am a bit overweight .. but i am not able to do anything ..i knw it just me who an do it ..but like ...idk
    now as he said in one of his video that he told his father abut that after 12th and his father denied .. so he did the training and studies while doing enegineering ... so ya i wish and want the same tbh ... thinking of geeting in engineering and doing this side by side .. but i am sacred .... will i be able to manage .. will i be able to fit in that matrix .. i am so ....
    but i wish good luck to everyone who has a passion f being a pilot ... lets go brothers and sister ..you can do it ..
    peace out

    Conventional way would be pretty risky, there's no job security, we will have to wait , i would go for the cadet training program, it's expensive but it's robust
