    INCORRECT analysis on salary comparison. Most of my friends in Engineering line have reached 20-25lpa within first 8-10 years of workex(age around 30). Now if the salary keeps growing at a snail pace of 10% their lifetime earnings comes around 42 crores. And with an investment of 4-8 lacs.
    Here I am not even counting the exceptional candidates who work with startups and FANG companies, they are easily earning 60-80 lpa at age of 30. Their lifetime earnings would be way higher than the pilot.
    I don’t mean to discourage Pilot aspirants, but one should be clear on what they want to do Mon-Fri.
    PS: I am a management consultant, i used to love travelling-business class, staying in 5star hotels across the globe, but at age of 33, my preferences have changed to less travel and more family time

    • @jitheshsrai4992

      He compared average pilot salary to average engineer not the exceptional ones so by keeping that in mind yes average pilot earns a lot when compared to the average engineer.

    When loan is sanctioned at 23, who will pay the EMI ?? As your first salary as you said will start by age of 28.
    And what about the Pathetic Ugly 12 - 14 hours of flight schedule ???
    And who becomes a Captain within 2 years ?? Is it so easy and are First officers who struggle with flying hours for more than 10years and then become a Captain
    And what about layoffs / recession ??

    The engineering salary can vary. For instance, my educational expenses for engineering were around 4 lakh at a decent private college. As a Software Engineer, my current in-hand salary is 2 lakh per month, plus additional benefits like stock options and a joining bonus. I anticipate that after four years, when I become a Senior Engineer at the age of 27, my monthly in-hand earnings will increase to between 3 to 4 lakhs, excluding stocks and bonuses. When considering the financial aspect, engineering seems like a better decision, especially because taking a loan of 1.2 crore seems quite risky to me. If I'm going to take a high risk, I might as well start a business. Engineering appears to be a risk-free option in this regard, at least it doesn't involve the fear of a 1.2 crore loan. However, I believe every profession has its own benefits and I truly respect all of them.

    When you calculated the interest on loan amount, you forgot about the simple interest that banks charge during the study period.
    Suppose you are taking a loan of 60 lakhs and the training period is 2 years, you are supposed to pay 10.8 lakhs as simple interest @ 9% as well as the (compound interest + principle amount) for the repayment period.
    So the final amount comes out to be 60+10.8+39=110 lakhs (1.1Cr) for 12 years at 9%

  • @samsunggalaxy-ci7nk
    @samsunggalaxy-ci7nk 5 месяцев назад +1

    True that. But let me add something to it. You have considered ideal situations in all cases. But do you think life is ideal always? A pilot's job is highly uncertain. He has to follow strict routine, which brings a toll with time. He will be working on an industry which has least profitability. He will have strict pressures as per demands. Don't compare yourself with an engineer. His life time earnings Is far more than that you calculated. He will anyhow manage his income, but you wont be able to manage it if your industry shuts down. Think on it. Dont look down upon on any profession.

    If it's going to take 4 years to start recieving the stipend or a salary,how can one pay back the EMI's as they start wayy before this time and is there any reason why line release takes so long once your're typre rated and airline training is done or it depends upon the vacancy??!!!!

    Hi, I'm an engineer too and 25 yrs old. I, too, wanted to move to a pilot career. However, I cannot pay that hefty amount for training and certifications, so I considered going through the IAF. Can you make a video regarding it, explaining what the career path looks like, advantages, expenditure and is that even possible for a 25 yrs old?
    Thanks.

    What about the 1lakh per month EMI of loan repayment? For the first 8-12 months , the avg salary of a Pilot is 1 lakh rupees itself . Where to get that from?

    • @Chauhan-eb3dc
      @Chauhan-eb3dc Месяц назад

      For about 6 months it would be difficult to pay your emi until you get released as a first officer you can easily pay the emi as for the first officer salary is about 2.5-3.5 lakhs a month

    Where do so many pilots get jobs. There are pilots that don't get a job for 5 to 10 years also.. the industry itself is so much uncertain too.. so many companies being bankrupt . So all calculations of getting promoted to a captain and then showing the profits etc is useless and misleading isn't it? Can you show the pilots when they got trained and actually got fixed job?

      The salary mentioned is usually before tax deductions, so it's important to consider that aspect when evaluating the actual take-home pay.
