  • When I Screamed Loud Enough is a solo choreographed by CKDC Company Artist, Carly Lucas for French Connection, premiering October 22 at The Marcelle Theater. French Connection celebrates the life and work of Josephine Baker and Carly's piece highlights Josephine's struggles throughout her career. This pop-up performance of When I Screamed Loud Enough was filmed on the Missouri side of the Eads Bridge, where Josephine Baker is rumored to have watched the East St. Louis Race Massacre of the Black Community by armed whites from across the river. All pop-up locations for French Connection were intentionally picked due to their historical relevance to our concert.
Tickets are available at www.metrotix.c.... Showtimes are Saturday, October 22 at 4:00p.m. and 8:00p.m. and Sunday, October 23 at 2:00p.m, 4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m. We will have a panel discussion following the 8:00p.m. performance on Saturday.
French Connection is made possible in part by the Regional Arts Commission of St. Louis.
