We just got this dishwasher, after our 18 yr.old Whirlpool pump and circuit board failed (yet zero issues until then) I was nervous buying sight unseen due to Covid19, but I read and watched loads of reviews and decided to take a chance on this one. Our budget was very tight, and we wanted as few whistles and bells as possible. The bonus was we got a tall tub, the sensor feature, and I got the utensil basket in door (our old machine also had this). I have been more than impressed with the cleaning and drying, and the sensor cycle has worked perfectly too. I couldn't be happier with the performance. Our repairman recommended a low-end Bosch, but reviews were very inconsistent, and drying performance was iffy, at best. Very glad we trusted Whirlpool!
@@MizBryteEyez Some models have them for different purposes than other models, they are rather for stemware and small bakeware or they are for cups and called Cup Shelves. Some that are cup shelves have slots for stemware as well like a lot of older Whirlpool made dishwashers. Yours is probably a cup shelf only.
Seems like a stupid question but after it is done washing the dishes all 3 lights are still on does it still dry the dishes for an extra time after it cleans everything because mine does not show clean light on maybe I haven't given it enough time after it's done washing
We bought this at home depot after maytag died 20 years, black mold and started to leak. All these new dishwasher make some strange sounds even new ge one in florida are weird. Maytay was so quite only heard water but these buzz some times. This is about 30 minutes longer than maytag, ours is white under $400
The current price is $519 at Costco and it ain't that cheap. Do you know of a better dishwasher at this price range. I like Costco as they not only provide free shipping, Free pull away the old one, but it also install the new dishwasher all included with the selling price. I appreciate your input and this is for a rental property in Laguna Niguel CA.
I have one of these and it doesn’t clean anything well. Just spots and gunk still on stuff. I’ve cleaned out all the filters and what not. No idea what’s happening in there.

I just bought this dishwasher yesterday. I THINK the door locks and unlocks automatically. I don't see anything in the manuel about that and there is no lock lever. If anyone else knows the answer, please reply.
Can someone please tell me on the rinse aid compartment, what the small top hole to the left is ? At first I thought this is where you add the rinse aid, and then kept reading that its where the cap comes off. Did I just screw up my new dishwasher? 😩
The problem am having which is just recently is once I place the cascade pods into the washer, it opens and and the pods are removed and found on the bottom. What could be wrong? Please advise.

This piece of junk loud as a freight train dishwasher came with the condo unit I purchased two years ago. This is a cheap builder grade Whirlpool appliance. You get what you pay for folks.

Ours is just a grid. No way to slip a stemmed glass into it. We thought maybe for baby bottle nipples.

This washer has a counter clockwise twist to unlock the filter in the basin.
We bought this at home depot white on sale $379. Its ok but not happy with utensils holder so I'm using the two from maytag this replaced.
I have been trying to learn what the fold down thin in top rack was for. I am happy someone else has no idea either.
Stemware
Stemware to hold in place or as an extra rack for double stacking short cups. I’ve used it for ramekins and serving utensils as well.

Mine doesn't wash? It's new but it doesnt take the detergent. It just goes through the cycle & but the detergent pod isn't used.

I have this one and after 3 years the pump went out. Repairman came and said it would cost like a new one to fix it.
Mine sounds like it runs for a few seconds then stops during rinse cycle

The door isn’t being allowed to open complete because there is a dish in the way during the wash
Or the water isn’t hot. Make sure you use the temperature boost.
Mine is not drying well at all , no matter I put “heat dry”, high temp. Etc.
