Hey everyone! My name's Iver. Welcome to my channel: RA2cashGAMES. I host and stream pro Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 (Yuri's Revenge) games... and give the winners cash :)
My channel features a variety of RA2 gameplay, including professional 1v1 matches, 2v2 games, show-matches, multi-player, free-for-all (FFA), tournaments, and cash prize events. We also feature helpful tutorials, strategies, and walk-throughs, with tips/tricks for new players. I focus mostly on PvP, but I also do PvE occasionally, like 1v7 Brutal AI Enemy challenges, Allied Campaign, and Soviet Campaign games.
"Red Alert 2 Remastered" has yet to officially release, but until it does, I've created a variety of custom maps, tiny maps, survival maps, and mod maps to keep us all entertained! We have a great community of players of all skill levels... download the game today, and come play with us! :)

💥 "Blitz"
This is a Red Alert 2 game mode of my own creation. Tiny-map, no ore, build oil for money (max 12 oils). All Allied get all Allied bonuses (minus France), all Soviet get all Soviet bonuses. There is a 10min game timer. No engineers allowed.

So" broken arrow" is a term referring to any "incident" involving nuclear weapons which are otherwise not at risk of being used offensively. So an example would be if a plane transporting a nuclear weapon was lost do to mechanical malfunction or weather , the incident would be a "broken arrow" situation until the nuclear weapon could be retrieved.
Ahh I've heard that one before as well. I think it from the movie "We Were Soldiers" wiki quote Charlie Hastings, his forward air controller, to call in "Broken Arrow," which is a call for all available combat aircraft to assist and attack enemy positions, even those close to the US troops' position because a position is being overrun and can no longer be defended.
@@Iver we are both correct, it was used in your context at the battle of the La Drang valley according to warographics. I'm gonna guess the Vietnam designation predates the nuclear designation.

I find watching Marko, Quien and the rest fun but not particularly endearing to try and play myself. D5 however is not only fun (sometimes even more so than the top Players) but also makes me want to play a quickmatch myself.
Yeah it's fun to see different levels! And all people like different stuff. I only really post the most popular stuff on RUclips though and lower division games get 10-15x less views

I have had a few people tell me this. I think it's used differently in different movies. Probably not actually a real term even haha. In the movie We Were Soldiers with Mel Gibson it is used in the way that I said

You can say that this game isn't just tank spam all that you want, but this whole match is the living proof. Doing anything creative gets punished hard unless you invest your life into keeping up with the micro.
This game will never go anywhere.
Yeah I completely agree this game is hard to understand for people who don't know it.
It's kinda like a fine wine, if the person consuming it doesn't know the art, then the finest in the world will just taste like sour grapes.
@@Iver I'm not saying there's no nuance to the tank spam.
But I'm saying the game is just tank spam. If you like RTSes that punish innovation of any form in favor of obsessive mastery of one single mechanic, then that's great for you. But it makes any sort of broad buy-in to this competitive scene extremely unlikely.
Also, good analogy since even trained professionals are proven to be terrible at discerning good wine from cheap dreck. At some point you might need to stop, look at how much you've invested into all of this, and wonder if maybe you really are just drinking sour grapes?
Lol... Buddy, we love this game. You don't. That's okay, it's not for everyone.
I'm just saying, it's impossible to appreciate nuance beauty if you don't know the art - this is a universal truth. So my recommendation is that as you navigate this world, when you see something you don't like (that you know nothing about) instead of saying: "Bad. Me no like. Bad bad."
Just say: "This isn't for me." (or say nothing) and then move on with your life.
Also, quick note - this is Division 5 that your overanalyzing lol. It's literally brand new players.
@@Iver Oh for sure, I love watching high-level players who actually get to play the game. It's cool when you're allowed to play the game for what it is with all its nuance and variety. I understand the game better than you do, I'm thinking.
But you and your ego want this to be the next big twitch-reflex Starcraft-esque RTS, with you being the next Artosis or whatever.
Here's the truth you can't seem to grasp: most people are not division 1. Most people are division 6 through 4 and *at those skill levels, it is a game about tank spam.*
This game very much is for me, but y'all wanna play it at twice the speed you're supposed to and I ain't got time to adapt to your bullshit just to play the game I like.
I hope your RA2 movement gutters out and dies because you are literally, unironically playing the game wrong and giving people a horrible impression of a beautiful game. You are reducing it to ADHD clicking and tank spam and tarnishing a bygone masterpiece.
I'm not a fan of the mastermind though.

This is the main BO for this map IMO. You can diverse if you want to go WarOilOilWarOil or WarOilOilOIlWar, it gives different amount of leftovers for fodder and sentry
