Hey there. Thanks for this. My Z50-70 is now 7 years old. The bottom case snapped in the same place as the one in the vid - both sides - and I've had it taped together for the last 18 months. Finally had enough of feeling like the screen was gonna fall off so bought a new case and used your vid to help work out what went where. Was a great help! A big thumbs up from me. Cheers.
I tried to replace the back of my wife's computer solo. I got stuck at one point and navigated here. Thanks to your video, I replaced the whole back by disassembling everything correctly. I'm now a hero in the house. Thank you so much for your help!
The G50 problem lies with the laptop hinges.. They are really tight and needs to be loosen up or place some oil... They are the reason why bottom plastic cover gets broken.
Hi. We did you purchase then shell cover? I am looking for palmrest cover with touchpad. Or can I remove my touchpad and use it? The one i saw in ebay is without touchpad. Waiting for your reply. Thanks
Vielen Dank für dieses ausführliche Video. Habe als Laie die untere Abdeckung getauscht bekommen, da ich genau den gleichen Defekt hatte. !!! NUR: Irgendwie habe ich wohl vergessen den Lautsprecher einzustecken. Ich habe keinen Ton mehr. Können Sie mir sagen oder ein Foto schicken, wo der Lautsprecher eingesteckt werden muss, damit ich gezielt danach suchen kann, wenn ich den Laptop jetzt werden öffne, ? Am Ende hatte ich 5 Schrauben übrig. Komisch ist, dass keine überiggebliebene Schraube, in das jeweilige Loch neben den Scharnieren passt. Ganz komisch. Hilfreich wäre, wenn Sie noch ein bisschen ausführlicher zeigen, wie man die Verbindungen aussteckt, da ja verschiedene Steckertypen verwandt werden. UND welche Schraubentypen benutzt werden und welche Schraube beim Zusammenbauen wohin muss. :-) Vielen nochmals für diese Anleitung. TOP.
i to have similar issue with my z50-70 one side has broken at bottom same how it happened to u ....i have doubt should i have to get the base replaced or i should get bith top and base replaced
Thank you for this video i was able to change broken back panel, some keys stopped working hence tried cleaning the keyboard cable and retried, also tried reinstalling driver still z x c v enter , . These keys are not working.. any help will be appreciated
I have followed all the steps and fixed my hinge problem.. bt at the end when I started my laptop it shows only white screen .. please help me where I've missed something
Pls can you help? I have a lenovo ideapad 300-15ibr and I have the same problem. It broke at the corner, my son sat on it. No one did a tutorial video on how to change that type of cover yet.
Its a sign that your hinge will break in future....i too had this same clicking problem and this went on and on until one day i opened my g50 and the bottom cover broke

It seems this model they created with cheap structure. Two of my known ones had the plastic breaking issue.

Buying a new cover isn't the proper solution! because it also break after almost 1 years later!
My original was good for 4.5 year and it was heavily used.
