Pak i'm testing your profile and combos and their both great. The only thing that is missing is a bit more consistency.... I'm testing small world (instead of spoofing which lose its real value). it is an amazing card since all monster are spellcasters with different lv/attribute/atk/def. Also handtraps such as ash blossom, ogre, veiler, droll, nibiru are good as brigdes for small world (ex. ash -> faker -> meluseek).
wasn't exactly the support I was hoping for. Its more combo focused. I was really hoping for the deck to get better consistency but oh well I guess this works to.
It seems like they're trying to push Altergeist in a direction where they aren't just Marion set 4.dek. Makes sense considering Labrynth exists and most people just saw Geist as just discount Labs. So this serves to actually give geists niches Labs don't.
I stopped playing as a kid before there were even synchros. Summon Skull was like op. I had a relinquished and it was my favourite card. I come back and get absolutely slapped. I got Shadolls and enjoyed them, but then saw your Altergiest deck video and I fell in love with the deck. Was thinking of playing again and I looked up your video again. I love trap decks and it's my favourite to play.
I hope you re right about it being tier 1. That s the deck I'm using right now after being inactive for 4 years, and it still can hurt meta decks being able to play under your own skill drain =).
Depends how you see it. The Haunted Rock is the only real brick in the deck, but really needed for most of the new best combos. Then arguebly Revitalization (the trap that you banish from GY for 2nnd norm. sum.) may be a brick sometimes. Everything else is kind of a starter. All kinds of 2 Altergeist monsters will get you somewhere. Also Spoofing + any altergeist card will get you Multifaker-combo or whatever other Altergeist monster you just needed. That also means, even if you have Haunted Rock or Revitalization on hand, as long as you also have Spoofing, you can shuffle it right back into the deck, to unbrick. Btw, I also like how we now can special summon Multifaker from deck with Primebanshee. Before, we were doing that kind of rarely.
Quick ruling question: In regards to Malwisp’s restriction of “but it cannot activate its effects this turn”. Is that a lingering effect while the card is on the field? Or is it a “cannot activate cards or card effects with the same name” type of thing? TL:DR Can cards summoned off of Malwisp activate their floating effects?
The floating yes, the restriction is a lingering eff for the summoned monster field eff, so you can use float effs and could still use that monster name eff If you summoned another copy in other way

Would you prefer 10 monsters, 3 pots, 6 in-engine traps, 9 handtraps and 12 floodgates? The deck still has the trap element, but it's more like Salad/Traptrix now. It became a little more mid-range compared to stun. In DB, Hextia had over 80% winrate because it was super hard to use and by the point you summoned it you were already winning. Now this support finally allows you to fully use your monster lineup, even abuse Mario (the most underrated geist monster imo) as well as maximize the potential of your trap lineup. Compared to other mid-range/control decks, like Salad/Traptrix/Labrynth, this is the only one with hard s/t negates + monster negate + non-destruction removal + play on "turn 0" or combo with Evenly + can also play perfectly fine under Skill Drain + has Secret Village on top to lock out any possible blowout card. To add on that, if they break your board you get your resources back to build it again (silq/hex/mani). It even has its own battle fader that isn't completely useless and can even make BP irrelevant if you have Spoofings.
@@RanvirSingh-gr9jm skill drain ist inconsistent af becuase you won‘t always have protocol. In the Melu combo you could also just make Almiraj, make IP with the 2 Geists and make Heatsoul with protection that way.

When does this support come out in TCG, anyone know?
July 28th (NA) / July 27th (EU/OC)
The only thing about the new support is that it's not adding up with the design of the other altergeists

16 non engine, prosperity and one for one
definitely not tier 1 but better than just bottom teir rogue.

Extravagance or desires but it becomes risky because you may lose key combo pieces
