You guys are an amazing family. Cool dad gorgeous mum and incredible kids. Liam's vocabulary is so advanced for his age.! Loved this episode on the Oodnadatta.
Thank you, is very kind of you to say and we are very privileged to have such amazing kids. We sometimes forget how well Liam speaks but he does have a great vocabulary considering hes never really been to school
Hey Mark & Clem, that was a great video, and we loved the drone footage. The artesian bath would have been nice. You have a lovely little family. We have lots to view with the next episode and some of your older ones. Enjoy the week ahead. Corrie & Lyn ❤
Great episode of your adventures. Marla I remember as having awful water-like wallpaper glue!! We were there 25y ago, and bad flies. But all worth it for a family holiday 😊
@@Ourwhittleadventure we would love to do it again with no time restraints. Poke around a bit? You showed us things in this episode that we missed and we’ve done it twice lol
One of my favourite places in Aussie love it and that tracks is great. We were so lucky to get to Lake Eyre when it was almost full of water and managed to walk in it earlier this year. Sad that more and more of it is being locked behind fences. It has been said it will soon be closed off completely unless with specific tour companies. 😢 I bet you loved the painted desert it’s epic.
That will be a shame if they completely block it off, is one of the big draw cards of the track! We love it out there too, so much to see along the way and yes we loved the painted desert! So glad we made the effort
Glad we weren't the only ones whose UHF antenna fell off (twice) on the William Creek road. After that trip, plenty of loc-tite on the threads and a ring of electrical tape and it hasn't budged since. I hear some large heat shrink also works for a neat job.
Haha yeh reentless corrugations can do weird things. Mine snapped but it always does, downside to buying that cheap style, easy to replace but easy to break 🤦🏼♂️
Liam’s becoming quite the commentator. Pity you couldn’t get down to the lake. Great to see the little one wearing his headgear. Maybe it’s the flies the encouraged him to leave it on. Enjoy your time. I love watching your videos.
Heathy is getting much better at wearing his hat and fly nets now which is good! Liam wants to be more involved so im happy for him to pick up the camera if he wants to. Thanks for watching, was a great adventure
It was relocated in the 80s, the new line is still used today between adelaide and alice springs but this one is all just heritage now. All those spots, Beresford, Coward Springs etc were all sidings
How is your fuel usage just dawdling along on tracks like that, I’d say you’d be between 60 to 80 mostly so the old girl would revel in it even towing ? Lovely countryside if ya the time to look around 👍
Ooh yeh lived juat cruising at that speed in 4wd with a tail wind. Math came in at 17.5L/100 Maree to Oodnadatta, out to Painted Desert and to Coober Pedy without needing fuel. I put 15L in the sun tank at Oodnadatta just as back up but didnt need it

Love the Oodnadatta track!
So do we!!
How long ago did they rip up the railway line? Was it the line from Darwin to Adelaide?

Dingo fence alarm to scare them away
Ha! That makes sense!
Thanks
