Welcome to my Mega March Art Haul! I've been collecting up all of the smaller orders I placed with Jackson's from mid-February through to the end of March (mostly using my affiliate credit) and put them together with two small orders from Cult Pens, making one huge art haul!
As someone on a low-spend, this was both incredible (to live vicariously through you) and also torturous 😂 The glass dip pen looks absolutely stunning!! I look forward to seeing your ink pieces! 😍
Thanks Katie! I can only do this because of the Jackson's affiliate credit - it helps so much when it comes to trying new art supplies. I could never afford to buy all of this! I feel very fortunate. :)
Ouh yay happy to listen to you unbox new art supplies! Thank you for the mention for pastel olive paint, the earl grey ink and for the glass dip pen! Also what a coincidence when I was in Italy I bought J.Herbin inks and I love that Rouille D,Ancre! I almost bought Verd de gris, but went for Vert empire instead. I think you might like that colour too, to be honest. :)) BTW that glass dip pen you have got is gorgeos! wow! editedit. INKY GOODNESS! :D
I’m currently waiting on my first glass dip pen! I’m very excited to see how it works and what all I can make with it, since I have a small collection of inks
How strange - we've done it again! How often we have bought the same (or very similar) art supplies at the same time as each other without knowing?! I am so excited to really get into using inks and to start using my dip pen and also fountain pen that I bought a while ago but haven't used yet. I hope you had a fab time in Italy! x
The Dr. PH Martin's Bleed Proof White and the Daniel Smith Undersea Green are amazing! I am sure you will love them, can't wait to see you use these. The way Undersea Green separates and settles in a wet wash is wonderful for making those cooler blurry out of focus trees in a background, the yellow seems to fade into the background leaving a beautiful blue green. I used this for a monochromatic painting and absolutely fell in love with the color!
Grand video! So glad you're going to try the Japanesque Turner acryl-gouache-I recently finished a 50 landscape painting project using them. Quick tip: the whites in the Japanesque sets are not as opaque and bright as the whites in standard gouache. They also tend not to mix as cleanly. I ended up getting a tube of Holbein Super Opaque acryl-gouache for the brightest whites and mixes I needed :)
The Japonesque white is not so opaque because it is a mixing colour. If you want a more opaque white with the same texture use the ordinary turner acrylic white and layer over with the japonesque or mix them together. I love these paints you can thin them to the finest veils of colour and they go on beautifully or you can use them full body, they are just fantastically good!
Remember when Natasha said green is not her color some time ago but here we are, with a whole lot of green tone art supplies! And fountain pen inks omg. Now we got to see more media in your work. It's a pity that most of these inks are not water resistant so aren't easy to use with painting. I'm so looking forward for your work using these new supplies.
I bought the Roman Smzl water colors and holy heck, they are amazing quality! I still plan to purchase a bunch of the granulated watercolors from your other two videos, I just haven't had any real chunk of time to sit down and do it. I really appreciate these videos that you do and look forward to watching when you post them.
Thank you, I'm so glad that you and so many others like them and/or find them useful - it means a lot and thank you for letting me know! I get quite a lot of hate for these videos alongside all the people who love them (I just delete any horrible comments as I don't want that on my channel). I know that I've personally found it so useful when other artists share the materials they're using. It means that I've tried new supplies I would otherwise never have known about, and it's helping my work to grow and evolve too.
I love Roman Szmal's ocean blue - it's sooo pretty and I use it a lot, especially for water scenes. I don't have a lot of the other colours though, so I'm excited for that swatch video!
Inky goddess? 😁 I got the R&K Sketch Ink in my Kaweco pen with the extra fine nib and it doesn't clog it. I love to use that pen instead of a waterproof fineliner (less plastic, more fun). I think you'll love Tundra Violet because it definitely feels like a Natasha Newton color!
Inky goodness. I love the former and kilngner inks snd have many as well as the glass dip pen. They feel luxurious to use. So many lovely goodies. Love an art hawl thank you.
Lots of inky goodness in your haul this time Natasha. I don't have any inks so will be excited to see how they perform in the next video and oh...your pen is stunning!!!
Aaahhhh Rouille d’anchre is my favourite ink! Earl grey is my normal writing colour too. Petrichor and kelp tea by troublemaker are also really cool. Diamine ancient copper is awesome too. Haven’t drawn with it but amazing for writing.
Oh wow, I also use Earl Grey and Ancient Copper as my regular writing inks. I pretty much have two pens permanently inked up with them, the ancient copper just seems so right for my Kabwe of brass sport too. Will definitely check out those other two, petrichor i’d be willing to try for the name alone. If you haven’t yet come across Adventure Denali’s channel she’s got lots of videos swatching out writing inks that I find really useful. All her other pen, journaling and other interesting content is lovely and calming too.
Inky goodness!!!! I love the glass pen such a beautiful color, and those inks yum lol I know how u feel I love collecting new art supplies too I’m always looking for new watercolors or anything really
Inky goodness! 💜💙 I know just what you mean about *that* Mel Chadwick video, it made me buy a load of ecoline brushpens too! Juicy :D DS Quinacridone Coral is gorgeous. Can't wait for the swatching sesh 🖤
I got the Diamine Inkvent calendar and the 25 colours are glorious! The effects you can get are stunning when you layer them and apply them in different thicknesses.
What Inky Goodness! That glass dip pen really is a thing of beauty 😍 I’m hopeful for a love letter written with it! 😁 I wonder which of your favourite colours you would choose to write it in; would it be one of the many blueish-greens, pinky-oranges, or your old favourite/new paynes grey? I so enjoyed this art haul and listening to your soothing tones, thank you, your Dominic 😘💌🖋 xxx
Inky goodness! That glass dip pen looks so amazing and fragile at the same time. It'll be interesting to see how you use inks in your artwork. I've been hauling fountain pen inks and fountain pens lately for drawing purposes but I'm also interested in using inks diluted with water in waterbrush etc.
I love your videos because it’s so clear how these supplies and colours bring you so much joy!! Love that you can purchase much of these with affiliate credit as well. Thanks so much for sharing!! :)
I'm so thankful for the affiliate credit, because for the first time in my life I'm able to try so many different materials. It's really helping my work to evolve as well. Without the affiliate credit, I wouldn't have been able to afford all of these supplies. It's great, because it means I can try them on camera and share with other artists too!
I myself have been gifted a rather nice art haul by my partner (I have a long list of health issues and because of how complex that list gets, I can’t find work and my partner knows that makes me depressed so he has made it a habit to buy me a new art thing whenever we have our little date nights) I want to start making RUclips videos both to share my works, but also to show my appreciation to my partner for spoiling me because I’m sick. In my mind that’s a great way to show how much I appreciate the gifts is to show them and use them (I’m nearly always making art because 70-80% of the time I’m stuck in my bed not able to do much physically)
Love your inky goodness Natasha. What a beautiful art haul. Both you and Kriksis have a lot to answer for in the temptation stakes! Have fun swatching.
I loved this art haul! Many interesting things to try and I look forward to follow up videos with swatching. The Rohrer inks are calling to me (especially Payne’s grey), but I will wait to see how they look when you swatch them. That Herbin dip pen is so pretty💕 I may have to indulge. I love your taglines for making it to the end of the videos. For some reason, Inky Goodness made me think of Peaky Blinders. You could be the gang leader for artistic goodness in the world 😎 Thanks for the video.
Woohoo watercolours !!!!!!! Really looking forward to the swatching. So helpful to see these new colours up close, thank you in advance. Inky goodness for all. Also can I make a request for when you do your swatching of watercolours.... no worries if not interested but would it be possible to do a simple small swatch on a 100% cotton paper as well as the wood pulp paper. It would be of great help to see the watercolours as they appear on the cotton paper, as I am finding the difference is quite pronounced with some colours . Many Thanks Judy
I love your art hauls so much... ❤️ Listening to you talking about supplies always make me so calm and inspired. I searched for an ink that is waterproof, lightfast and has some colours for quite some time and I never saw these. I will propably order them soon and use them to refill my Tombow fedenosuke brush pens, they are perfect to use under watercolor pencil drawings and caligraphy. Also, inky goodness 😉
I have that beige ecoline set, beautiful for skin, there have bigger set for all colors, but I plan to get autumn one, they have brows in that but have interesting other colors too. I have scarlet red, black, some blues, and blue greens set too...one warm purple, I should get cold purple too. I really love them.
Inky goodness - and if you love inks you need to try fountain pens. Some great ones to start with that aren’t expensive are Pilot Metropolitan, Lamy Safari/Al-Star, Jin Hao, and TWSBI.
So much 'inky goodnes' a real treat to have another massive art haul video from you. And so great to see you getting more into using inks, they are a staple in my cache too now. I love glass dip pens, they are so lovely to work wit. I got into them after Lucy Locks who I follow on youtube uses one to stunning effect to draw pet portraits (Her videos using the glass dip pink will really inspire you!) The Ecoline pens are perfect for pieces that you want to scan and are great for sketchbook work, they are really vibrant and layer really well. The Diamine inks are not lighfast or not supposed to be but I have found they don't fade over time and they make a range that have metallic flakes in them that I love. It's always lovely to haer why you choose colours and how you will use them. The Bleedproof white is reallt good and is now a staple for me now,I did start using the FW white acrylic in k after your reccommendation, but I have to dat the bleed prof white is actully better. Liquitex inks are a staple for me to especially their metallics. Can't wait for the follow up mega art swatching video and the the speial project video!. Am sure the the swatching video will also have much 'inky goodness' in it too. (matt)
Sunday Morning with Natashaaaaa! Love seeing you, hearing you and listening to how love what you bought or why you bought it! And I haven't even began to watch lol... I just wanted to let you know how excited I am before I sit down with my cup of coffee!
ooo wow! seeing all of these inks and watercolors makes me so excited for the swatching video, I really can’t wait! one of my favourite things to use with the glass dip pen I have is liquid watercolors, but i’ve also painted watered-down watercolor onto the glass dip pen with a paintbrush and it works surprisingly well! lovely video and inky goodness :D
Thank you for sharing your Inky Goodness! As a Pen & Ink artist, this haul really got my 🖋💨 motor 😻purring! I love the glass pens and it does feel elegant writing with them. My favorite fountain pens to use for drawing are the Lamy and Lamy Joy. Have fun swatching! I can’t wait to see them. Have a wonderful week and stay warm. It’s still cold here but the promise of warm weather is just a few days away! Sending love from my mountain top in middle Tennessee where the hilltops kiss 💋 the sky🌞! Fran
I laughed with you when you mentioned that in an earlier video you said no more watercolor purchasing for a while. I’m so glad you broke that rule. Liquitex Indigo is wonderful.
Inky goodness! Really enjoyed your video. And nothing wrong with buying more watercolors! Some people collect other things as you mentioned. It is always so calming to watch your videos.
Inky Goodness! I love fountain pens and my two favorite inks of all time are the two J Herbin inks you got. You will love them. The De Atramentis Document Fog Grey is a beautiful waterproof ink. I use with watercolor often. Check it out!

Inky goodness. Your art supply haul makes me happy. I really enjoy your excitement and learning about new art supplies. Best wishes. 😊
Thanks Janet! That's lovely to hear.

Soooo much inky goodness 🤗 I enjoy your haul and art swatch vids…
Natasha I love your art videos and this was a spectacular Art Haul!! Inky Goodness for sure!!!
Oh I love liquitex muted ink colours, especially the muted grey. I add to most of my acrylic inks to make them more muted.
I'll try that, thanks Clare!
Inky goodness but I'm more excited for the watercolours!
Inky goodness! Great haul. Looking forward to your swatches.
