- Voice over internet protocol (a.k.a. VoIP)- it's what businesses are switching to from traditional phone systems. Did you ever think you’d be nerdy enough to watch a video on VoIP phones? 🤓 It’s okay - we think you joined the cool kind of nerds. Jessica is definitely cool (and that guy in the background is a close second).

Anyway, VoIP is and isn’t a big deal. It is because it changed the way the world sets up business phone systems. And it really isn’t that big of a deal in that VoIP is super easy to set up - and you can even get calls remotely on your desktop computer or mobile phone with a business phone app. 📲
The cost of VoIP is just as attractive as the simple setup. Running your calls over the internet is cheaper than staying with landline phones. You keep the internet provider you already have and then get a VoIP company like Nextiva to provide the rest. You can also either rent or buy the desk phone - but that’s optional. A lot of businesses forego the hard phone and run their VoIP phone system through an app on their computers and mobile phones.
