Yes he just remembered from his childhood some certain food that is good taste and thats how he got idea and so it tasted enough good, that it was added to the menu.

It's easy to forget that Gordon knows his s*** when you watch him talking, messing around, or doing things other than cooking. His food also generally appears to be very classic, so it's fun to see something totally new invented.

Gino is so positive, even Gordon can't help but cheer up. as soon as he put the pizza in front of Gino his eyes went wide. like a kid at Christmas. how is his energy not contagious.
Those 3 had different expectations and the head chef really was speechless on the first bite, to think this is just a inspiration from gordon's childhood.
That's when you know that someone is an expert when even an Italian chef asks you " Can i put this on the menu"! Gordon is just amazing and a nice guy too.

Gino makes the best out of Ramsey. Much prefer GR in this way. And only Gino can speak to him in this way, you can see how they good friends. GR has the ability to reign in Gino and only Gino can open up GR to show his real character. And Fred is just the perfect balance between the two. Great show, love their chemistry. More please xx

2. The only french he spoke was "mon ami" and "pas trop grandé"
3. He speaks more French than Italian though none much of either
4. French and Italian are Latin based and therefore much more interchangeably comprehensible than english

His story about the inspiration of that pizza hit hard on so many levels. After all these years at the very top, he still finds ways to draw inspiration from his childhood and his roots. That's crazy. You would have thought that well ran dry ages ago.

We have been at this restaurant jist a few days ago with my husband. We have realized it on the spot that Gordon have been there 😍 if I would seen this episode earlier, I would have searched his pizza on the menu. We went there btw becauae we are archaeologists amd pizza maniacs, and thats the very first pizza restaurant on the entire world. At it is still open!! How amazing is that!

You know at the end this is what cuisine its all about. Experiment, be creative, try it even if it sounds crazy. It doesn't need to be over complicated, or maybe it needs to be like that, but it doesn't matter, if at the end you'll get something that can get to a Menu and can be praise and loved.
Gordon might have all the technique of the world, but at the end that memory and that "I have an idea" is what it's all about to give something already done a little twist that could went good or wrong.
I know he has all the knowledge about the ingredients but still it could went wrong for a moment.

Won’t have pineapple on a pizza. But will have a lemon base.
Lemon pizza is sweet, in Italy we have sweet pizza especially with Nutella but, pineapple pizza is with tomatoes, ham and mozzarella, Gordon didn't put tomatoes and mozzarella and lemon, did he? 🙂
This is the kind of recipe that I can easily imagine Gordon roasting a lesser chef for having come up with it. He's a bit more of a traditionalist when it comes to other chefs trying out unusual ideas.

People dotn get that s the dough that makes the difference...you can literally put Nutella , even fruits without exaggerating and the mixture will still work out ..dough is fresh, soft and can be plain..

Gordon hates pieces of pineapple on pizza but comes up with a lemon pizza. It's all just a matter of taste whether it be lemon or pineapple.
Problem is pineapple on pizza makes the pizza wet and sharp.
If you had a pineapple curd, would world like the lemon. But whole fruit or chunks roasted In the oven releases moisture and water content.
@@philwill0123 I ate pizza with pineapple all the time, and it doesnt have any grease from the pineapple. Also, It is stupid to coat the pizza with pineapple nobody does that. Pineapple on pizza adds a different flavor, the idea only depends on your liking.. Who would have know in the past that tomatoe sauce and mozzarella works with doe, same as pineapple on pizza. If you dont like it then dont eat it. But your comment is just an opinion or theory it is not true.
