when i saw the title im not joking i started tearing up because you are one of my favourite youtubers. you have such a beautiful sense of humor and i can feel you are a very kind soul. i have laughed with tears in my eyes at some of your videos and that truly rarely happens with youtube videos. im sorry you have been dealing with these things in life i can say i understand you completely because i have also gone through the same thing. i know there is not much i or anyone can say because this is your personal journey in life but i really (and so many others) love and care about you i just want you to know that even if it doesn't make a big difference. life is rlly hard man it can become like a nightmare but even if everything good always ends the bad things do too. it sounds dumb but its true. we all have to try pushing through and hope. just always try to live for yourself, try to do things that YOU love things that feel right in your heart. if nothing feels right then it is time for you to take a break and just breathe. i promise you everything will be okay in the end it always is

Hey Billy I'm quite a few years older than you but when I was 22 my mom died of stomach cancer and I went through years of drug abuse trying to self medicate and help my depression. I finally sought help and got clean and am on meds that seem to be working. I just wanted to say it seems like your family keeps to many secrets from each other. You telling your brothers and friends may help someone down the road. Like you said they could come to you if they are having these issues. Talking does help a lot of people. Keep your head up and know no matter how bad it gets it's only can get better

Billy I'm so glad that you made this video. People so much brush off other's suicide thoughts just as something to get attention - but shouldn't we give them attention? When you hear that, you feel like you're being challenged and you feel like proving them wrong and actually doing it. I feel better when I can talk with someone about my suicidal thoughts, even if I don't want to do it. The feeling is still here, still overwhelming. This stigma, and so many others about mental health, need to be crushed. People need to understand that the problem doesn't go away if you ignore it. I've tried multiple times and suffered from depression, anxiety, and PTSD for most of my life. I remember having the thoughts back when I was a kid. I would do the same things with trying to see if I could drown or not caring if a car hit me. I know it's hard, but I'm glad you're able to talk about it and share your story. I'm glad you're still here. I relate to this a lot and haven't talked about it all to many people. I love your reactions (I've only watched the Anne With An E ones so far but will look if you do other shows I like) and you seem so relatable now. You seem so sweet and you're definitely loved in this online community. I'm so sorry about your losses. I have a life I'm working towards and I want to live for that but I still get passively. You're not alone you are loved. We really do need to make it less of a taboo because it really needs to be talked about and we all need help to get through it. Even though you are doing better now you might want to go to a therapist or a mental health support group or something because it does help. I'm not seeing one now cuz I'm a college student and money but I have in the past and it helped sort through a lot. Feel free to reach out if you ever need. I’ve been struggling a lot with these kinds of thoughts lately...I’ve thought about doing it ever since I was 14 and I’m 18 now still here and my parents have put me in therapy because of a lot of other things that were happening but I’ve never outright said to anyone that I struggle with suicidal thoughts because I’m scared to. When I almost told my mom once she said that if I did say that that she would have me put in a mental hospital for a while and I panicked and ended up not telling her. At the end when you said “there are people that need to know you that want to know you. Don’t take that away from them” I just started crying because I honestly just feel so alone and like there is no one that really cares and that I’m a burden on everyone I know. I am just trying to hold on until things get better and I’m hoping they will. Thank you so much for sharing your story

So, thank you for being braver than probably many of us who still hide behind our fears and insecurities. I know you are good now! I felt it in your words. And your family and friends, in case they don't understand why you did it, just show them all the love anonymous people, from all over the world, are leaving here, because they truly care about you. I trust your parents will eventually, with time, understand and accept your need for truthfullness because if you are this corageous young man, they must have done something well, somewhere somehow. They were the first to install in you these high values you exhibit everytime you show your honesty and decency, not only because they were your first educators, but because, imo, despite all their possible limitations (as every human being, no matter age, race, faith, whatever, has), will want you to be true to yourself above all. Hi You are so brave for sharing your story! When I was having suicidal thoughts I would re-read my favourite books about characters dealing with depression. These books are A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby and How to be Good by Nick Hornby. They discuss issues like suicidal thoughts and coping with depressions and how everyone deals with it differently. I know you won't believe me but these are also the funniest books I have ever read. Nick Hornby is the master of dark comedy. Personally, this is how I distract myself when I am feeling depressed until it gets better. These books always manage to make me laugh. Hope you find this comment helpful or entertaining. This video hit me hard. You are so brave and a very beautiful human being. Kind, caring, a good big brother and a friendly person reaching out about your experiences so that people who know you can come and talk with you if they are going through some bad things. And I really wish I could meet you in real life and give you a hug! I think talking about this topic is so important. Both for the person who has experienced something like this and to try to stop people from trying to do the same thing. I've tried multiple times and suffered from depression, anxiety, and PTSD for most of my life. I remember having the thoughts back when I was a kid. I would do the same things with trying to see if I could drown or not caring if a car hit me. I know it's hard, but I'm glad you're able to talk about it and share your story. I'm glad you're still here. I relate to this a lot and haven't talked about it all to many people. I love your reactions (I've only watched the Anne With An E ones so far but will look if you do other shows I like) and you seem so relatable now. You seem so sweet and you're definitely loved in this online community.
I'm so sorry about your losses. I have a life I'm working towards and I want to live for that but I still get passively. You're not alone you are loved. We really do need to make it less of a taboo because it really needs to be talked about and we all need help to get through it.
Even though you are doing better now you might want to go to a therapist or a mental health support group or something because it does help. I'm not seeing one now cuz I'm a college student and money but I have in the past and it helped sort through a lot. Feel free to reach out if you ever need. I’ve been struggling a lot with these kinds of thoughts lately...I’ve thought about doing it ever since I was 14 and I’m 18 now still here and my parents have put me in therapy because of a lot of other things that were happening but I’ve never outright said to anyone that I struggle with suicidal thoughts because I’m scared to. When I almost told my mom once she said that if I did say that that she would have me put in a mental hospital for a while and I panicked and ended up not telling her. At the end when you said “there are people that need to know you that want to know you. Don’t take that away from them” I just started crying because I honestly just feel so alone and like there is no one that really cares and that I’m a burden on everyone I know. I am just trying to hold on until things get better and I’m hoping they will. Thank you so much for sharing your story

hi billy! so much relatable stuff in this video! i remember i had my first suicidal thoughts in 7th grade, so 12 years old. i'm 20 now and seeing kids around that age it's easy to forget how complex their emotions are already and jump to the idea that suicide should be hidden from them. but like you said, you were in 5th grade, even younger than i was and probably would have benefited from talking about it if anyone tried. thank you for this video, all the love 💛💛

unfortunately in my country mental health isn’t taking seriously and I tried getting help but no one helped me and I feel sorry for my younger self because I know getting help at that time could have helped me today anyway now I am older i can handle my self and take care of myself self so Thank for sharing this with us because lots of people can relate to your story.

I lost my father to suicide when I was 10, and no one wanted to talk about because it made them uncomfortable to talk about such a serous topic so thank you for opening up and talking about it. So sorry you had to go through this because I always feel like the most kindest people have to go through this pain. I can relate a lot because I also had two friends who I lost through suicide. Been following you since you started reacting to the original Skam and one of the things I always loved about them is how simple, natural, and true you are. So I think I understand why you felt the need to share your story. How can you be true to everyone who watch you, while omitting such an impactfull moment of your life?! So, thank you for being braver than probably many of us who still hide behind our fears and insecurities. I know you are good now! I felt it in your words. And your family and friends, in case they don't understand why you did it, just show them all the love anonymous people, from all over the world, are leaving here, because they truly care about you. I trust your parents will eventually, with time, understand and accept your need for truthfullness because if you are this corageous young man, they must have done something well, somewhere somehow. They were the first to install in you these high values you exhibit everytime you show your honesty and decency, not only because they were your first educators, but because, imo, despite all their possible limitations (as every human being, no matter age, race, faith, whatever, has), will want you to be true to yourself above all. It's what any loving parent wants for his or her child. ❤

Hi You are so brave for sharing your story! When I was having suicidal thoughts I would re-read my favourite books about characters dealing with depression. These books are A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby and How to be Good by Nick Hornby. They discuss issues like suicidal thoughts and coping with depressions and how everyone deals with it differently. I know you won't believe me but these are also the funniest books I have ever read. Nick Hornby is the master of dark comedy. Personally, this is how I distract myself when I am feeling depressed until it gets better. These books always manage to make me laugh. Hope you find this comment helpful or entertaining. I'm happy with either response! From a fellow skam fan.
