So basically for this new door entity, in order for you not to get jumped by it, you have to stand next to the door but NOT in front of it. Of the door opens, you're good. Actually all you have to do is pay attention to the door number the one with the entity is the repeated number the one that doesn't have the entity is the one that is the next number up I noticed while watching Jay play all the jumps scare doors were repeated numbers from the last door he went in.
I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but there's actually a new hidden detail using the skull key. A door before the dark room with two cellar staircase entrance things, there's a room with a broken pillar and a couple closets that's dimly lit. If you go behind one of the closets to the right, there's a hole in the wall. Not to spoil anything, but you need to flip a switch and have the skull key and two lockpicks to get the secret thing. It's a silly thing I found with my friend while playing blind.
I was watching someone play and she opened it but then died at I think door 160, I don’t remember but it was somewhere far. The doors were like named A-000
You need to get to room A-1000 to get the Night Vision table which finds items for you and store it in the rift so the 2 hours you spent getting to A-1000 does not go to waste

Jay probably won't read this, but here's a few tips - 1. The corner to the right of the exit in the library is a safe spot, Figure doesn't walk over there unless it's chasing you 2. You can right click on the number lock to go backwards in numbers. 3. Never buy the crucifix unless someone else has already bought the skeleton key. You can also sometimes find crucifixes above doorways, so check them! The skeleton key is much more important. If you have 3(?) lockpicks and a skeleton key at door 60-61, you can unlock a secret hidden area that always generates each game. Or, you could use it in the hospital room and get infinite regen. That's always cool. 3edit: Also, apparently you can find a skeleton key in chests too :). Just found that in one of my runs. 4. Dupe can be either have duped a higher value of the door you just went through, or the same one. Keep track of what number you just went through. It will scratch out the number on the doors prior a couple seconds after you open it. 4edit: Based off of other comments, you can figure out which one is duped or not based off of whether or not you approach it from the side and hear breathing or not. If the door doesn't automatically open and you hear breathing, just back away. It is definitely recommended to just keep track of which door you came through, as I've heard some players have luck with this and others don't. 5. When in doubt, remember that Rush will always open the correct door if it isn't locked. If it is locked, just check the number value on the key. It is always the correct door. 6. The only time you're not safe is if you're in a dark room or if the lights have flickered, and idk about you but knowing that I can just afk in a light room for an hour and nothing will happen makes it 10x less stressful. That being said, I haven't gone afk in a room since prior to Hotel+ so I cannot confirm or deny if this is still the case. 7. Glitch ONLY spawns if (Multiplayer) the furthest player is 5 doors away from the group, OR (Singleplayer or Multiplayer) if the next room failed to load in when you opened the door. Glitch will then give the game a little extra time to spawn in the room so you don't phase through the floor or something. This is most common at door 49 to door 50, as there are a lot of scripts and parts in room 50. 7edit: Have been informed that the Glitch from players left behind has been changed to be called "Void" 8. In rooms with the locked gate and the staircases heading downwards, those are safe areas. If you ever need to hide from Rush but don't think you can make it to a closet, run down the stairs! It is an intended safe spot, as entities like Rush or Ambush can only kill you if you're in their line of sight and within their hitbox range. Ambush is a little trickier in the sense that it has a higher range, BUT you can still hide down the stairs from Ambush. You can also hide in a vent in the same manner. 9. With the closet, as long as you get to it before the entity is in range to kill you, you can be in the animation for entering the closet and still not die from it. This is because the game is designed to put your character's hitbox inside the closet immediately so you don't get killed unfairly while trying to hide. 10. Check out doors that aren't broken. They can either have a closet, a chest, or a drawer. The chest can either contain a lot of gold, or be locked and contain items / gold. I recommend buying a lockpick at the start for this reason. 11. The earliest an entity can spawn has now been moved to Door 3, apparently??? My first run on the Hotel+ patch got me an Ambush on Door 3. Unlucky, and unexpected.
I think glitch is a little different now. There is now an entity named void that will teleport players that had been left behind, but it can happen in single player as well if rush somehow manages to open too many doors ahead of you.
I was trying to get some gold for the key and then go all the way back, but I was singleplayer and glitch appeared out of nowhere. My game was running so well, there was no lag at all and the rooms were loading well. Idk if it’s a new mechanic for not going back to the shop or sm. He teleported me to a dark room full of dupes 💀..
I dont kno if you used the crucifix already, but the crucifix is to eliminate/stop the entities in doors. Seek and Figure are the only ones you can't really eliminate, but you can stun for a few seconds.
There is a secret floor you can get to A-00 that not a lot of people know about in the update. Its around floor 60 and you need the skull key and 2 lock picks, the entities their are for pro gamers lol
Hey jay, I'd like to let you know about a secret when you get to door 60. If you buy the skeleton key after the Figure boss and don't use it in that hospital room, when you get to door 60 there will be a hidden hole in the wall behind one of the wardrobes. You will need to go to room 61 and turn the lever in order to go back and unlock it. You will also need 3 total lockpicks in order to go into the skeleton door. I won't spoil what happens after that part, but I hope you see this and get to do the secret ending!
Tip: When you get to the last ten doors, the lights are out in every one of the last ten rooms, and rush comes in almost every room, another bad thing is that there are creatures in the floor that grab you when you get too close to it, one last bad thing is that it’s raining, so it will be hard to hear rush approaching, hope this helps!
You need to remember your door number to avoid dupe. If your number is 17, go to the door that says 18 since dupe only takes a number more or a number less. If you have horrible memory, carefully stand next to the door and see if the door opens. If not, immediately avoid it.
fun fact: you don’t actually have to use closets in the library. from what I’ve learned, they actually attract figure because it’s a very small space. instead of this, you can use “safe corners” like both corners near the exit and entrance doors, the table with the paper, etc. if you found 0-2 books, you can run around the library but after you find more than 2, crouching is safer because his pathfinding, senses, and speed increase as you find more. i hope this helps !

some tips - in a dark room, look around you even if you dont hear a psst sometimes, theres still a chance screech could appear (or you might find him early). look around you once you unlock the next room - the ‘glitch’ you do isn’t actually a glitch but even if youre not in the way, you open the wrong door, and get duped (i think) . the only way really to avoid dupe is just count which door youre on (or pray you choose the right one) - the crucifix is for banishing the various monsters that roam. you could use it if youre about to die, for example, if ambush is coming but i cant find a closet, just hold the crucifix and you won’t get attacked by ambush i unfortunately couldn’t get far in the update, so i’m not sure what changed late game (pls dont spoil it), but i hope this helps jay!

jay you are part of my daily life, i can’t go one day without watching at least one kubzscouts video and now you upload one of my fav roblox games that i binged you play before and i can’t thank you enough.
The main things that have changed is after door 80 rush and Ambush can spawn in dark rooms and u won't be able to see a flicker u need to stay close to a hiding spot, also it have a secret room where u need 2 lock picks and 1 skeleton key to unlock and it will have a secret in it u should check it out, but u can only find it late in the game
A tip- with the cross you can kill or stop entity's (doesn't mean they're gone forever) I'd use the cross on ambush because he's the most annoying. They can't kill seek or figure because they are boss levels. So it'll only stun them for a while. Ambush doesn't make the lights flicker anymore he screams so when you hear his scream you should hide. (And also the plant that you found actually lets you heal yourself throughout the game) you can find crucifix in rooms hanging on the walls or above doors so make sure to look around.
A few tips 1. Jay if you don’t know, the little cross thing is called a crucifix it Can Despawn Some entities including Rush,Ambush,Eyes,Dupe, screech and halt. It is not strong enough to despawn Figure Seek. It just holds them Down for a few seconds or so! 2. Rush aims for the Next door if he comes and The closet is not in the room or is Already occupied you can hide In another room thats Doesn’t have a door number or jn a vent or down in a bunker 3. Ambush is like rush just a little different he goes back in fourth 2-4 times jump out the closet when you can then hurry and jump back in.
Tip I found when I beat figure before the update (It still works): If you find yourself upstairs and inexperienced with the closet mini-game, with the space on the left, hide behind the large couch/loveseat(?) and stay crouched in the tightest area. There's only like a 2% chance figure will catch you with one being his arm glitching behind, or you moving when you think he's gone, but really he isn't. Hopefully this helps.
Hey, Jay, a tip for Ambush! To avoid it you have to hide in the closet just like if you were trying to get away from Rush. You’ll know that it’s Ambush because green lights kind of rush past the closet. When it finishes, leave the closet and go right back in because Ambush will come more than once. You’ll know if he’s done when the screen starts getting static-y. BTW: The lights will still flicker just like if it were Rush.
Tip (i think) I believe there are some lockers where it says "eviction notice" or something like that i dont really know since i havent gotten as far as you did but my friend did, i think it means you cant enter the locker? Also the levels get harder between 90-100 keep that in mind! And the candle is and isnt a light source, it shows when danger is near
You sometimes can't enter closets because of jack, but you'll only see him once you try to get in. There's no way to tell from the outside. ”eviction notice“ is the name of the badge you get for encountering hide, the entity that kicks you out of closets if you stay there too long. The candle is still a light source, even if it's a poor one. Showing the entities is just a double feature.

Jay, the crucifix can be used to avoid monsters. For example, if you hold out your crucifix while rush is coming, you can kill him. Doesn’t mean he’s fully deleted though
ok so new tips/notes I found 1, u can’t glitch past figure at door 100 like before, as u have to turn back around and collect chargers 2, start counting every door u enter 3, once the clock strikes 12 (in the game) I *think* a new entity spawns 4, the red gremlin dude from door 51 was the one knocking on the walls that always creeped me out 5, I think there is a new hidden secret in the game, in certain rooms, there is a crack in the wall that leads to some other room that idk about 6, i suggest not to use the crucifix on seek unless if its for the badge 😭

here's a tip for when there are dark rooms ( especially if you have to find a lever ) wait for a little bit, maybe 2-3 minutes and then a blue light ( or guiding light as they call it ) will appear and you will instantly get to the lever without sacrificing your light source or if you don't have any at all

The main things that have changed is after door 80 rush and Ambush can spawn in dark rooms and u won't be able to see a flicker u need to stay close to a hiding spot, also it have a secret room where u need 2 lock picks and 1 skeleton key to unlock and it will have a secret in it u should check it out, but u can only find it late in the game
ambush doesn’t give you a flicker AT ALL.

A tip- with the cross you can kill or stop entity's (doesn't mean they're gone forever) I'd use the cross on ambush because he's the most annoying. They can't kill seek or figure because they are boss levels. So it'll only stun them for a while. Ambush doesn't make the lights flicker anymore he screams so when you hear his scream you should hide. (And also the plant that you found actually lets you heal yourself throughout the game) you can find crucifix in rooms hanging on the walls or above doors so make sure to look around.
A few tips 1. Jay if you don’t know, the little cross thing is called a crucifix it Can Despawn Some entities including Rush,Ambush,Eyes,Dupe, screech and halt. It is not strong enough to despawn Figure Seek. It just holds them Down for a few seconds or so!
2. Rush aims for the Next door if he comes and The closet is not in the room or is Already occupied you can hide In another room thats Doesn’t have a door number or jn a vent or down in a bunker
3. Ambush is like rush just a little different he goes back in fourth 2-4 times jump out the closet when you can then hurry and jump back in.
Tip I found when I beat figure before the update (It still works):
If you find yourself upstairs and inexperienced with the closet mini-game, with the space on the left, hide behind the large couch/loveseat(?) and stay crouched in the tightest area. There's only like a 2% chance figure will catch you with one being his arm glitching behind, or you moving when you think he's gone, but really he isn't. Hopefully this helps.
Hey, Jay, a tip for Ambush! To avoid it you have to hide in the closet just like if you were trying to get away from Rush. You’ll know that it’s Ambush because green lights kind of rush past the closet. When it finishes, leave the closet and go right back in because Ambush will come more than once. You’ll know if he’s done when the screen starts getting static-y.
BTW: The lights will still flicker just like if it were Rush.
I just realized on the “THAT DUDE” screen there’s a Sakura flower 😢❤ I see you Jay and I think that’s the most wholesome thing I’ve seen in awhile ❤❤❤
Tip (i think)
I believe there are some lockers where it says "eviction notice" or something like that i dont really know since i havent gotten as far as you did but my friend did, i think it means you cant enter the locker?
Also the levels get harder between 90-100 keep that in mind! And the candle is and isnt a light source, it shows when danger is near
You sometimes can't enter closets because of jack, but you'll only see him once you try to get in. There's no way to tell from the outside.
”eviction notice“ is the name of the badge you get for encountering hide, the entity that kicks you out of closets if you stay there too long.
The candle is still a light source, even if it's a poor one. Showing the entities is just a double feature.

This update is really great, I’ve been waiting for Jay to play this since his style and commentary of gameplay is always fun to watch!

Jay, the crucifix can be used to avoid monsters. For example, if you hold out your crucifix while rush is coming, you can kill him. Doesn’t mean he’s fully deleted though

ok so new tips/notes I found
1, u can’t glitch past figure at door 100 like before, as u have to turn back around and collect chargers
2, start counting every door u enter
3, once the clock strikes 12 (in the game) I *think* a new entity spawns
4, the red gremlin dude from door 51 was the one knocking on the walls that always creeped me out
5, I think there is a new hidden secret in the game, in certain rooms, there is a crack in the wall that leads to some other room that idk about
6, i suggest not to use the crucifix on seek unless if its for the badge 😭

here's a tip for when there are dark rooms ( especially if you have to find a lever )
wait for a little bit, maybe 2-3 minutes and then a blue light ( or guiding light as they call it ) will appear and you will instantly get to the lever without sacrificing your light source or if you don't have any at all
