I'm so excited to see the added POV's I'm loving the book so I'm sure the Pilot/Show will be AMAZING and I have my fingers crossed that it will be picked up once you can shop it around after the studios get it through there... understand that what is being asked for is not outrageous.
I wish I would have been able to join in on the fun but I am just getting back into writing after 3 months of hell with my health. But if there's a round 2 I will be there with bells on. Hopefully, by then I would have finished draft 1 of book 2.
Good luck with the script and with everything else :D

Thank you, Cass!!! And I'm so sorry about your health!! I hope you're feeling better!! I hate that when health derails us for a while, but the important thing is to get better, everything else can wait!

♥ I know what you mean about deadlines. I put my cookbook up as a Kindle pre-order in November just I would have a definitive deadline on completing the manuscript. Now I can work backward on what I need to do. I have enough done that I'm confident I can finish it in time. I also announced that date for release so I know I can't put it off.

Pre-orders are such a great way to self-motivate!!! I'm so excited for your cook book!!! I actually put progress bars on my website and am finding it's really helping me motivate as well lol!

So I think the last time we spoke I was still working on the Christmas movie. It came to the point where I felt like something was wrong with it, and that resulted in me having to cut a lot of things and look at my reoutlining. That was a little frustrating so I started working on something else. It was a TV pilot which I have been trying to outline for a while. And the whole outline just spewed out of me in two hours. In one way that was wonderful and in another way it felt really unfair that it was so easy with that TV pilot and not with the Christmas movie.
Anyways I am back working on the Christmas movie. I was reading Save the Cat (the screenplay version) and it suggested I do research and watch movies in my genre and I was like"fine." I have always been under the impression that I should do research but I have never done the plunge because I am afraid of wasting my time 'researching' and not get something out of it.
I am now watching Home Alone 2 (watched Home Alone 1 earlier today) and I am moving on to several other classical movies of that era which had kids as the main character. Particularly rebellious kids. Watching Home Alone was actually really helpful - I had a a-ha moment with the Save the Cat beatsheet which I am definitely going to carry with me.
I am having a really fun time. I kind of feel guilty because I should be packing, but there is still time.

It's so crazy how some ideas come out so much easier than others!! And yayyyyyy for a-ha moments!!! I love it when that happens!! And no guilt!! Enjoy the fun of it!!
