AiGV Squirrels Vs Crows/Rooks

AiGV In a local back yard attempting to feed grey squirrels. However what seems like crows or rooks team up to chase the squirrels off and seem to shout at me for feeding the squirrels?
Could it be that the birds have nests in these trees with eggs or even nestlings, and me feeding squirrels is enticing the squirrels into the their area?

Hayup Liam, there jackdaws mate, I guess the tapping on the branches is some sort of communication between the birds, they've obviously got young ones around. Anyway all the best, Keith.

Brilliant Keith, now we know they are not crows or rooks, but jackdaws. So maybe they are actually shouting at me for being to close to the nest. But there was a tussle with the squirrel and so maybe they steal their eggs?

Yes grey squirrels are known for raiding birds nests.
