Y’all are a hoot! Watching and knitting is a great way for me to relax before work, dealing with the summer hordes here in Napa! Funny enough, working on the Oolong Tank for my daughter with linen/cotton, bottom up with a lace panel. As a loose knitter I totally relate to Kathleen. The giveaway yarn is so pretty, especially that orange. Kaisa Tee by This Bird Knits would be my choice with it.
I absolutely love the look of the Battenberg blanket and I wanted a project to use up my fingering scraps. But I prefer knitting to crochet, so I am making my blanket with 3 inch knitted mitered squares. I'm excited to see how it will work up!
Thanks for the knitting company! You always add to my queue :) I have my eyes on the Tolsta Tee, but really like the casual shape of the Castaway - can’t decide if the linen is part of the charm or if it would be happy in other fibers.
I’ve been eyeing the Battenberg for a while - might be time to start! That fior de seta is lovely - I’d probably go for the Tolsta and play with some lace modifications
Thank you for clarifying the whole 'international shipping' thing. I know that in America there seems to be some sort of restriction shipping to Germany? But hey, I've had to pay for my last couple of birthday and Christmas presents that were sent from my Dad in the UK... so it's a globally known chaos! For my two cents - and you can decide whether that's USD or EUR: 1) I love the simplicity of Kathleen's sweater. It doesn't look really fancy - or even complicated to knit - the devil is most definitely in the detail. 2) The giveaway yarn looks like it could lend itself to something with a fade or ombre. Especially the 3 colours immediately to the right of the orange one. Also, some of the colours remind me of the shawl that Amanda was wearing.
That silk yarn is beautiful. I would make a Slightly Sassy V or Cumulus Tee with it. I very much prefer V necks and they seem to be having a moment these days.
Love to see the yarn you have in the store! I would love to knit a tee! This would be my first to knit a garment! I need to find an easy pattern! I know you mention several patterns for beginners. Happy knitter!
Thanks for another entertaining episode. Since I’m in the process of swatching for a Tolsta tee, I would make the slightly sassy v out of the fior di seta
I enjoy your podcast so much. I watched one about a month ago, and now I am going back to watch the older ones. I would make a long narrow, drapey scarf with the Gedifra.
I always look forward to my coffee and watching on Saturday when you gals publish this video. I loved Amanda's Miss May shawl. I ordered colors to be a twinsie, haha! Love the mom chit chat too, it always helps! all the best, kimberly
Hi Kathleen ,Jenn and Amanda, thanks for another enjoyable and inspiring episode! Great hint on doing a swatch! Such pretty bags! I would like to make a top for the first time! Maybe the Ankers Summer Tee or take another class at Yarnia! Happy Knitting!
I just learned about Jessie Maed designs last night and looooved the Ripple Camisole, so I'd make that. Also I was just thinking I have all this yarn and stuff and nowhere specific to put it and then you showed us these bags 😍😍😍
I'm with Jen! Boys better work that issue out without bothering mom. Certainly when the car is all boys, there is no stopping. Amanda's face during that discussion was telling. :D You all make me laugh. And, Kathleen your sweater is beautiful! Thanks.
So much great information again! Love your tips and tricks. Those bags are great! The yarn giveaway fits my vive! I would crochet the Milkweed Scrappy shawl by Briana k designs.
Omg ladies - I’m sitting on the beach in San Diego lmao. I am really glad we all now know that Jen’s kids are safe to have over for a swim in the pool and that Amanda thinks kids can be “procured” 😂😂😂 y’all are delightful!!
@purlmonster (runs to check both patterns...) Those are both nice choices, but the Anna Tee is one I have seen before that I think has such lovely details and shaping. I think it would work in any of the colors! ~K🧶
Hi, I love your channel and watch every time you put up a video. I get so much good information and pattern ideas from you ladies, so thank you! Just one correction: The book by Talia Hibbert is called Take A Hint Dani Brown, not Take A Hint Dawn Brown. Just thought I'd mention that in case someone looks for it.
that recycled silk is beautiful. i would like to make another kyler shawl by isabelle kraemer - but just do the lace section and not the stockinette section - so just work back from the middle of the pattern. that denim would be perfect - actually all the colors are nice. maybe the berry... 😵💫
Always love your podcast! I start watching as soon as I get a notification😊. The giveaway yarn is lovely! I think I’d cast on another Tolsta. Kathleen, I’d like to try that gauge tip you mentioned. Did you find out where Haley learned it?
@shelleycraft4273 - Thanks so much! I'm so sorry, but I don't remember which gauge tip we shared that was from Haley - can you please remind me what we were talking about when it came up? Thanks!
@@ChroniclesofYarnia -It had something to do with knitting a row, ripping out the yarn, and then measuring it. You were talking about it right before Amanda's ride came and she left. Thank you! If you can't recall it no worries,I will try and google it!
@@shelleycraft4273 - Thanks - this does help me remember. It was our team member Saysha who was demonstrating it at our Knit Night a couple of weeks ago. Laura Nelkin has a video on RUclips called "Knit Tip: Gauge Swatching in the Round" that illustrates it! Very clever technique! ~K🧶
I am loving that lavender shade! With this yarn, I would make one of the beautiful, lacy tshirts that are really popular right now.
Another enjoyable podcast, always learn something 😊👍. The Tolsta tee would be a perfect summer tee. Thanks so much
Oh I think the Fior di Seta would make a beautiful camisole in either the light pink or the purple!
every day is a cheez its kind of day in my world.... lol Another fun episode thank you!
The June Top light would be great in any of these shades. I enjoy your podcast.😊
The colors are so delicate and pastel and pretty - I think I would make another Totally Tank by Jessie Maed!!
Since I live in deep, South Texas where if we have a day below 70 we are happy I would definitely make a tank top out of that yarn.

I would make the Enchanted Cardigan from Expressions Fiber Arts in the purple, blue or gray
I think I would make a small Sophie scarf - I've been making them for my hair- or a small summer bandana. Love the blue and grey together!
@carlahibbard1776 - that's a great idea!
