Kokomi is...falling out of the Meta

META is a self-crippling anti-fun activity to me. I completely forgot about 'Sukkokomon', now I don't have to worry about stationing her for just dendro teams when I get Kokomi.

Haha yes I was gonna showcase the Sword of the Nazzissizzisseenkreuitzen, although for my favourite Nilou team (Baizhu Nahida Candace) I have it on Nilou. Yeah the Blooms aren't as strong compared to using Dockhand but whatever.

Hi, another non fontain or pneumosia chara that can deplete cryo shield that fast is Amber, try amber burst and shield almost instantly gone... now what about a Kokofish/Amber team? Cheers.

I haven't been active in game so I don't know where to get the blade but I used Nilou Bloom(Furina var) on upper and Ayaka Freeze on the lower so I still used Kokomi this abyss rotation. I wanted to try Sukokomon on 2nd lower half but my ping and my characters aren't built for it.

I love that the game has people that are dedicated to some characters enough to find every way they can to deal with all kinds of challenges but, I have to be hones no one beside the small % of dedicated people like you can be bothered with always having to go to that fountain to change the swords alignment to deal with corresponding enemies. To much of a hassle. Wish they did the alignment changing in some other way more convenient way. Exact same problem with the traveler element changing sadly

It is definitely crazy how far you can go with a lot of characters that most people brush off - it is fun to play outside of the mainstream!
To your second point, I think Hoyo does it deliberately: Get the Shiny Furina that makes switching easy and instantly beat Abyss enemies OR get some obscure sword behind a 10 hour quest that not a lot of people will bother with. Oh and the obscure quest is also locked behind other quests xD.
To me it shouts one thing: Hoyo knows what they are doing - that is why I hate the Arke system (apparently one of the few people in Genshin community).
We are all F2P in the end: Free to Pay (either time or money). Hoyo wins either way

Kokomi's main issue so far (and since release) is that she had the tag of "replaceable". Although abscent for the Kokolovers and mains.
And let's just say that Fontaine with the big roster of hydro units just made it worse.
Why have her as dealer on field when Nuvi can (and will) hit like a truck, doesn't need healer, and can (needs to) work with multiple reactions?
Why care about her off field application when you have Furina, who lasts twice, can hit like a truck (mine does anyway 😅), and buffs the entire team? Plus walks on water. 100% of the time.
Freezing comps are getting less and less attractive because of new mechanics, and it seems that for the next region auto-healing characters will be the norm. (Hopefully not)
Still, if that rumor of the archon is true, people will only look at who brings the highest numbers. And Koko, without crit, is gonna be at the bottom of the list.
And the last drop of the ocean bottom: next patch will grant a healer, that seems to target Kokomi's last opportunity to be attractive.
So yeah, my dream to have them both in the same team is completely busted.
And yet, Kokomi will still have a special place in our heart.
