That is so true
Natalia, I'd love to hear about what you're doing for marketing with a pen name! Like, an entire new website? What do you do for your pen name's social media without showing your face? How do you handle not having an author photo? Whatever you can talk about without giving too much away would be wonderful! It's really hard to find info out there on the practicalities of having a pen name and keeping it totally separate.
Love these questions! I could make a whole video on this topic! I'm learning as I go, but I'd be happy to share what I've discovered so far. :)

I'd rather go horseback riding than post on social media. Let's go herd some cattle. It's hard wrangling that social media mess. What writing platform do you use? Vim, Word, Scrivener, Something Else...
Can you make your videos longer?
I'm glad you said you need "time and energy" to write. People often think "time" is enough, but it is not. When there is a lot of work, relaxing to stay healthy and happy is better than forcing yourself to write.
Oh my goodness - I feel the exact same way about social media. It exhausts me. I so wish I could hire a social media manager to do all of that for me because it is my least favorite thing 😬
Me too! I get done posting a video and am drained from trying so hard, lol!
Honestly some of my favorite things right here - coffee, books (writing/reading) and horses!
I actually am a social media manager working with self-published authors and I can tell you targeting Instagram and TikTok at once with the same videos is the way to go! Two birds one stone. Just edit them differently for each platform (via music/sounds, hashtags, captions, etc.)
