I would mention that the gas mask holder and shovel are dissapointing being made in plastic compared to the metal-wood parts used in past figures...otherwise it's a good figure, if you added a metal ammo belt and swapped out the gas mask holder and shovel for the metal/wood parts it would easily be a 10/10.

I also have this figure. The machine gun was very heavy and difficult to lift and stand on the figure, but you managed to put it upright.

Agreed I think it’s great that it’s made entirely of metal but it’s weight does hinder posing especially if you sling it on his shoulder.

So you already have Otto Funk? Oh yeah, so hopefully they will soon get it here in the Czechia as well. It's interesting, although he is a rather insignificant soldier, I dare to call him the most famous face of Normandy. It looks exactly like on the famous photo, camouflage and machine gun, everything is perfect. I like it a lot, cool figure :)

He really is a great figure, hope you get him as well! And his head sculpt is really spot on, straight out of the photograph.

They often wore the shovel against the stomach as a form of armour to protect their guts from wounds.

Got this chap sitting in the 'to do' pile with the assistant gunner, Lio, en route. UK sellers are still waiting for stock, mine came from China direct via eBay about 7 weeks ago!

I have one question. There was no way to attach the Hitler Youth sports badge (gold arrow-shaped medallion) to clothing. How did you attach it? Did you use adhesive or double-sided tape?

I used a small bit of adhesive! Always gets the job done.

The ‘mimetico modello 1929’ camo is the wrong colour. Dragon has done this for years. It’s a post war colour. Wartime combo has more earthy colours.

Ahh I did not know that! Hopefully they’ll get it right the next time. (If there is a next time.)

Actually Ottos Panzercombi has the right telo mimetico colors.
Dont get fooled by the 1950 introduced post war mimetico. That version is more reddish brown than the ww2 original chocolate brown version - which otto is correctly wearing.
The three colours of the War time pattern coloration are a chocolate brown, green or greyish green and a yellow or ochre. The greens never have a blue or aqua hue.
Post war Zeltbahns got the three typical colours which are a red brown, blue or turquoise and a yellow or ochre.

I just got this figure and i have a little problem understanding how to put on the H*tler youth proficiency badge. Is it sticker?

Alas they didn’t provide any sort of double sided tape or anything so I resorted to using super glue.
