    As a passionate LFC fan, rivalries must be set aside & we need to commend Alice for her exceptional matchday analysis. Her technical insights are unparalleled standing head and shoulders above anything else on RUclips. I tune in specifically for her breakdowns and overviews of the game on matchdays which surpasses the coverage offered by Sky Sports and other football shows. Her analysis outshines much of the current football punditry i.e nevilles keans carraghers henrys kate scott micha richards with the american punditary team espn the shytest of them all. As a Liverpool fan, I actually thought Newcastle was the toughest opponent the Reds faced this entire season. It is not that they were necessarily better than Arsenal, but after a rough first half at Emirates I felt like Arne Slot could turn things around with a few small tweaks. I was much less optimistic about the second half at St. James Park.
      It was pretty obvious to me that MU needed to have an unusually good game to contend with the Toons midfield.

  • @pietjemol3420

    I am watching this from Spain being Dutch and see people reacting for years now criticizing players and or the manager. "It's Van Gaal, It's Mourinho, It's Moyes, or any player, it's Casemiro, it's Zirkzee, it's Bruno, It's Rashford, etc, etc, etc..." Now go for instance to Madrid and ask fans what they think of Casemiro. The reaction would be 100% positive. Great player, one of the best, etc... How is that possible? Well I know, it's not the manager, it's not an individual player, there is something completely wrong at the club and it's fans. They want to buy success, and then claim the cup with mercenaries and think they did it themselves. It's the soullessness, the attitude without love that is at the club and it's fans that is the problem. Big money destroyed professional football in general, but it's nowhere so obvious as at MU.

    • @puttajay
      @puttajay 18 дней назад +1

      Well said. The issue at Manchester United runs deeper than managers or individual players. It’s a toxic culture started by glazers and amplified with the rat from ineos driven by chasing big names and huge paychecks, creating a squad of mercenaries who lack alignment or pride in the club sacrificing the workers who are the heart and soul for those paychecks. Compare that to Newcastle, where players are inspired by a clear vision and team-first mentality, performing beyond their limits. United’s soullessness starts at the top, and until the culture changes, even great players like Casemiro will look lost and disconnected rashford a man u supporter has looked like a spoilt lazy brat for years….howe turned one of Newcastles biggest flops joelinton into a player for brazil first team meanwhile rashford has been dropped for england

    Joelinton for Newcastle is more important to the team and system than Bruno Fernandes would be. He is unselfish and facilitates Gordon and Hall to be better players. He slots in back line when needed and pops up with a goal box to box style. This year he has been played everywhere and he is as much a Geordie as Longstaff and BDB are. So Id keep him over any Man U midfielder.
    Maguire isnt getting anywhere near this team either. Onana is better than Pope or Dubravka. Murphy is on form right now but would be replacable by Amad.
    Isak, Bruno G, Hall, Gordon and Tonali are untouchables. Id also say Newcastles current midfield is better than Liverpools.

    • @cooldude7450
      @cooldude7450 18 дней назад

      Calm down buddy. Mac allister, szbo,gravenb, are way better, check the league table. Newcastle is more physical but Liverpool is more technically gifted. Who is better than graven rn in the league at dm. Joelinton actually is close because he’s relentless but graven, beats him in terms of intelligence and technicality

    • @cooldude7450
      @cooldude7450 18 дней назад

      Also in the Liverpool vs Newcastle, you could see Liverpool edged it but Newcastle was very close

    • @boemher15
      @boemher15 18 дней назад +4

      Nonsense. Newcastles midfield 3 are more technical and more physical.
      Liverpool have a better defense, keeper, and right and left forwards. And Mo Salah. Mo Salah on his own would make Newcastle top of the league.

    If you want to see a textbook lesson in how to be a wingback, watch Hall. Gets forward to support attacks. Crosses and creates goals. Bags of energy and knows when to press and when to stay. He gets back and gets blocks. He’s a great defender but great supporting attacks. He was my man of the match.

    Supported toon for 60 year and followed Newcastle through thick and thin and it does look surprisingly good this season especially after we lost two really good young players though ffp this season,getting back thank you for a fabulous honest breakdown of a interesting game ,remember the future is about youth getting rid of large badges and transfer agents big stadia that catering for more than just football
    Best breakdown of a game well done keep going it's what is needed

    💯 agree with everything you said. Also Murphy seemed to man mark Dalot making sure to see him inside. Gordon was helping when Hall was out of position. Schar was all over Hojlund.
    Joelinton is actually a very good dribbler. The ball just sticks to him when he runs but yes he is our tank 😂

    Not a Utd fan and I haven't watched them played in a while. Last night, I was shocked with how bad they are especially the 1st half. The players GENUINELY looked clueless. It felt like Newcastle was playing some random mediocre League One midtable team. And to think that the Utd players are all multi-millionaires....

    As alway Alice great impartial analysis. You bring a real level headed overview on the Prem and that’s why I subscribed. As a Chelsea fan I understand the slump Man U are going through and tbh it’s getting to be a major crisis and skimming the drop zone is scary but there is something very broken at the club. Chelsea have been brought back to reality over the last 3 games and it’s going to be a dog fight for 3rd and 4th place and if we don’t wake up our target of CL football will slip away which would be a major failure after the season we’ve had so far. Thanks for all the great work you do, I hope you get to actually be a TV pundit you have the quality to be great at it!

    Alice can i first say im a toon fan my entire life, first off i started watching your channel bout a year and a half ago and im so impressed with you knowledge in all parts of the game, secondly i love that you say it like it is you have not jumped on my team like MOST others because of the buyout you have kept it football and if we play well you show us why, thank you. Itst strange watching Man United at the moment they really look in a mess on and off the pitch, i was wondering if you could sign any 3 players in the world to turn this around or atleast stop the skid who would they be ?
