Great video and review. So for a 30inch draw would you strongly recomend ax2 over alpha x then? Where are you from btw? You sound south african but Im not 100% sure
@@edcunningham5562 yes, I'd go with the ax 2 at 30". You'll notice a significant performance gain. It will be faster, but speed is not everything. It will just feel better overall. I am originally from South Africa. I've been in the US for about 12 years. Good catch.
@@SeaSaltMud Are you mainly talking about how it holds in regards to feeling better overall? Nice, two great places to bow hunt! Are you left eye dominant btw? I notice you squint your left eye when shooting
@@edcunningham5562 when I talk about how it holds I am referring to how still the pin float is. The bow holds relatively still, even without stabilizers. I am left handed, but I taught myself how to shoot right handed. The lefty options are usually just to limited.
@@SeaSaltMud I thought they make nearly all bows in left handed configuration though? Im left eyed right handed but shoot righty, I started off shooting lefty but my right shoulder is much more stable so swapped. So I also quint left eye
Absolutely planed😂 LMAO. You shoot that set up extremely well. I’m impressed. If you mentioned it I didn’t catch it. Were you shooting the draw stop in the extremely hard setting or hard setting? Also what let off were you using?
@@olehemlock it was 85% letoff. I didn't check the draw stop, but I assume it was extreme hard. That's usually how they ship. My personal bow I shoot 80% letoff extremely hard. I didn't want to change anything on the bow, since it belongs to the shop. I took it off the wall and shot it. The only thing I move was the sight and the peep. I am very impressed by the bow.
@ I’m left handed. Due to Hoyts Tec riser it is impossible for me to shoot one before I buy one. So I really rely on videos to make decisions. The way you shot the x2 is pretty much how i shoot my bows. I was really impressed how stable the bow is after the shot but I realize it also has a lot to do with your excellent form. I’m pretty sure I’m going to order one.
@@htq582a if you already own the Alpha X, the ax2 is and upgrade, how big of an upgrade depends on your drawlength. If you don't already own one and you're trying to decide between the 2 I'd go with the ax2 100%. Personally, I already own the alpha x33 and I'm keeping it.
@@timbow50 I do a bit of a hybrid method. I slowly squeeze with my thumb while still actively pulling through the shot. That said, I spend about 25% of my practice working on command shooting/punshing, so that I can utilize it in the wind if needed. I'm very fortunate that I've never dealt with TP.
@ was wondering because you shoot so well. I know what you mean when talking about the dang wind. I like the pull straight back style better as it’s easier for me to just keep my mind and vision focused down range on whatever. The pull is like an unconscious act in that I don’t have to think about squeezing my hand ? or moving some part of my hand. I shoot a lot of 3-d comp compared to like indoor dots because I bow hunt something year around ( wild pigs especially) and my technique just seems to give me the control I want. I try so hard to not do any kind of command shots? the wind makes it a requirement. 👍👍👀👀👀👀
@ I also swith between a thumb button and hinge release often. If I feel my timing with the thumb button is off I'll shoot a couple hundred arrows with the hinge as sort of a form reset.
Yay! Another video!
Great video

Do you command the break at all or just pull until it breaks from skin friction?
