I skied CMH Revelstoke about 6 years ago, then Adamants this season. Prefer Adamants by a long shot. Remote lodge adds significantly to the camaraderie and sense of adventure. Small groups means much more flexibility in terrain and group compatibility. More alpine and less trees. Most of the runs when I skied Revelstoke ended up in tight trees, which destroyed everyone's legs. Trees at Adamants are not as tight.
If I had paid 7 grand for a week of skiing that tracked up garbage I'lda been pissed !!! Money back kind of pissed !!! But thanks for the visual warning , think I'll research other operators !!! If you can't find PURE untracked with a heli , you should be in a different business !!!
There are so many variables that you and the operator share the risk on. That includes weather, snow conditions, etc, etc. Sometimes you ski the aspects that provide the best experience and yes, you sometimes encounter other tracks. When it is on it is the best ever. Other days it is a challenge. If you cant see through and appreciate the other aspects of the experience beyond the snow, save your $7K. Leave it to the rest us us. Cheers….
