In the DLC where you play as Vergil, the final boss in that DLC is Dante. People have found fighting him much harder than fighting vergil. One of many reasons being: "ROYAL GUARD!"

About dmc2: It's true the original director quit soon after starting, and it was taken up by an unconfirmed director that's been theorized to be the director of power stone. Capcom was going through restructuring at the time and the arcade and console divisions were merged. The game was languishing for about 9 months because the team were used to games that lasted a few minutes at most and never made a multi hour character action game on non-custom hardware. This continued until the credited director stepped in and basically cleaned up the game by himself in about 4 months. There is a happy ending, that team stuck together and ended up making dmc 3, 4, and 5.
Yeah Hideaki Itsuno. His team only had enough time to put together the stinger, which was the worst stinger in all the games.
After getting my tax return and being completely fucked over this year I can agree. Vergil didn't just have a point. He had the entire blade shaft.
Try getting penalized nearly $1700 (every year*) for choosing to not have health insurance (I live until I die and I also make just enough money to not be able to get the free government insurance to eliminate the penalty) while also having to deal with getting money taken out of your check every 2 weeks to pay for other's "free" healthcare.

If you guys are wondering what those Wings are, they are in fact Nero's new Devil Bringer as it has every old ability from his older unnatural one and gains a new one such as Bringer Claw then you can see it morph into what appears to be the old DB when Nero has it smack Dante in the face, just with a hint of the DT wrist point things albeit more feathery.
Edit:Oh and during Buster, the demon wing arm(s) envelope his arms as they shrink and act like his original Devil Bringer.
24:24 - Minor correction, but Dante's "original" name was Tony Redgrave, and was also an alias he used in the DMC novel. Kamiya himself chose the name "Redgrave" as a nod to Chris Redfield, and in-universe Dante coined the last name as a reference to his hometown, Red Grave City.
Considering DMC started off as an RE game at first, makes sense.
Not their only misconception of the series, but for the sake of not sounding like an elitist I'm just gonna shut up.

Vergil was annihilating me when I fought him as Dante, but somehow I murdered him when I was Nero.
The first time you play as Nero against Vergil, you get an auto-filling DT meter. But on repeat playthroughs of the fight, you don't have that, so you'll have a difficult time just like as it was with Dante.
I disliked Devil May Cry 2 because of how repetitive it seemed compared to the first, and the lack of enthusiasm in the script and action. But, after learning how long it took to make the game, I understand why it was the way it was. Looks like whoever gave that stupid 3 month deadline learned from their mistake and let the devs make games at their own pace. Devil May Cry 3, 4 and 5 were great.

This one is just as Awesome AF and Hilarious AF as Part 1
Honestly i found DMC5 virgil to be easier overall in both fights. Virgil has only been tough in 3 and DMC where the Virgil fight was a fantastic way to cap off the game. DMCV plays fairly well with M+K
I thought both game's Vergil fight were great; one with high difficulty and the other with great cinematic moves, both versions of the Vergil fight have their own unique way of giving that final battle feeling.

The sequels are out of order. DMC3 technically takes place first then it’s DMC1, then DMC2, then DMC4, and finally DMC5. The problem was that Vergil stays behind in the Demon Realm in DMC3 and eventually possibly becomes a puppet for the original Demon King that their father Sparda defeated and sealed away. Dante was a bit of a carefree jack@$$ in DMC3 & DMC1 only for him to be a stoic Mary Sue in DMC2 and went back to being a cheeky bastard in DMC4. The “Character Growth” was all mixed up.

DmC is a good action game. It got better with the definitive edition which fixed a lot of problems. It's just a bad Devil May Cry game.

Tbh, DMC3 Vergil is way stronger than DMC5 Vergil.
Hmm I dont know, I know he has that enhanced ability against Dante with Force Edge but it's inefficient compared to the Qluipoth, the Devil Bringer and every other Item Nero possessed especially Aegis Shield.
