Thanks bro but I gotta give credit to my guy @monnysoul for the thumbnails tho. Also appreciate your support early on, you watched my first video ever in your discord server. Idk if you remember that tho.
Great vid bro. Person struggled with choosing this and had this same conversation with my older brothers, cause sometimes I’m just acting good instead of being, yk? I expect this to get some backlash once this gets popular
I am struggling with this in an excruciating level. I came from an environment that left me to not trust humanity. If I see a good person, I question their motives. I have struggled to find the right people to surround myself with that I feel loved by. At the same time, I want to prioritize my business in helping people, but is it helping if they have to pay for my services? It throws me off in a loop and I'm still trying to learn and grow.
very interesting question, but in my opinion, the greatness( self achievement )and the goodness(benefit of society) are not contradictory.🧐🧐 If you have fulfilled your job or personal achievement, like the basketball player🤠 ,it will also encourage someone too. encouraging someone to fulfill dream. doing the good for the community is also a self-achievement too , just like what you said in the video.😋 in the classic chinese Philosophy, there is some similar question , it is called "內聖外王",but it is focus on the personal Virtue and the society benefit. and traditional scholar, they are closely connected to each other. the personal virtue is the root and the society benefit is the cause. anyway, but it is becoming the problem when the Individualism is rising in the modern society.I think perhaps a better way to look at this issus is that try to connect with the community you live in. chasing your dream while being a neighborhood. and try to find peace within your heart, it will do a great work. just my personal opinion, I hope it can help your thinking.
it is a ridiculous proposition to purport that Mandela was not both good and great. he was the first african head of state in SA - literally one of the greatest political activists of all time. so you lost me there... it's not mutually exclusive. and generally your definitions of goodness and greatness are weak imo as greatness can be measured externally by achievements and true "goodness" is not capable of being measured because there is no absolute moral compass that we can all agree upon and it is opinion-based.. furthermore you cannot call an individual "good" without knowing their deepest motivations and intentions for their actions. The results produced are not equal to the producer of said results. maybe thats a thought you can iron out - if i have low vibe reasons for doing good things that doesnt make me a high vibe person.. it makes me a low vibe person that does high vibe things for motivations that i may or may not even be conscious of. anyway. keep creating and good luck on your movie.
I mean the whole point of the video is that it's not mutually exclusive. It's on a spectrum. I also put Martin Luther King Jr for goodness but he also achieved personal greatness in a sense. I would still put Mandela in the goodness category based on my definition bc he prioritized good for the collective country over his own personal accomplishments. While he did become the head of state he spent decades in prison to protest laws he believed to be unethical. If his main priority was just personal accomplishments he never would've done that. Overall, I don't think Mandela or MLK tried to achieve personal status it just came to them bc of their goodness. As for your disagreements with my definition of goodness I mean all morality is technically subjective. Technically so is greatness. Also don't think that I'm saying one is better than the other. I just think they're categorically different.
This thumbnail style will set you apart. Big things coming for you, bro

A great video on what it means to be good and what it means to be great.

Ironically I'm at a sort of stand still of choosing two separate careers with the attributes mentioned. Politics and art.
