I went to her concert and let me tell you: she sounds SO amazing live, A LOT better than in those videos!!! Those recordings really do kill the quality. She's such a great singer

The recording will always sound a lot worse than the original live performance. It will always make her singing sound worse than it actually is. Idk why you took that as a personal attack lol
It's because somehow japanese fans or someone in the team managed to hack the mixing console and especially the channel for her in ear monitors so what you actually hear is the her monitors/the sound she hears in her ears and as a dry channel without effects so she can hear what she sings. It's only us in the audience and audio engineers and sound techs that hear the sound with reverb, delay, compressors etc. I'm a music producer and audio engineer and this is a known fact it happened in Tokyo.
