I learned to can foods 4 years ago, after I retired. It was a new skill to learn as well as a way to deal with what was happening with the pandemic. I now have a vegetable garden and will can that produce. I love finding meats that are marked down and then can that right away. I agree about the space saving for the freezer. We do like beans, so I will can several varieties at the same time so that I then have available. Thanks for sharing.
I’ve been pressure canning with my mom since I was 12. Still do it as well as non-pressure canning. You gave some good tips. What is a Smart canner? 15:10
Cute little table you picked up, Lynn. I used to can years ago, but I don't feel it is worth the time and energy for me by myself. If I grew my own, I might reconsider, but I have no luck there . Thanks for sharing what you have been able to do though and I wish you and Graeme and the rest of your family a very happy and Blessed 4th of July.
I know it's healthier, but I know myself and I'm not going to can. I do make my own broth, though! I do feel good about doing it, too. Your bistro table is so cute. You'll have to give us a tour of your kitchen. Take care, Linda ❤
I’ve bought the beef stew in a can and found it had too much gravy and everything was soft and mushy. I cannot imagine cooking that all day in a crockpot. It just needs warmed not cooked.
I have not had roast pork since forever ago! Agree about Dingy Moore stew. Yum

I agree every family needs to do what's best for them for me I chose not to can but always enjoy watching your videos

A smart canner tutorial would be interesting.
Very informative!
Another great video sweet friend and kudos to you for being able to say "canned" and "can" without fumbling. 😂 That's hard to do. Blessings.🙏
