If people are saying your complaining (which your not) your just showing the real side of travelling with real problems that you overcome thats the joy of watching you both! x
A lot of ppl who don't travel don't actually realize how stressful it can be sometimes..since unfortunately ppl still believe traveling is some far of dream for most, when they see someone traveling they think well their life must be perfect and they shouldn't have anything to complain about.. and yes traveling is sooo amazing but it doesn't eliminate stress..not all together anyway, it's better than working a 9-5 but traveling still brings its own assortment of stressful events, so you guys keeps being u..this is ur story to tell, so I think it's important to stay true to yourselves and tell ur story how you see fit...also I think it's important for ppl to see all aspects of travel the good, the bad and the amazing..
Agreed. Travel can be extremely stressful especially when you're trying to create a new short film every day. We also travel vlog and I don't think we've had an "easy" day. Something always happens but you just deal with it haha
I actually appreciate the honesty about the bad/pitfalls of traveling. Only when you travel a lot do you understand that there will be epic trips and epic fails, and by you two experiencing the epic fails and sharing them will better prepare me for an epic trip 😁. So thank you, I appreciate you both!!!
If I had lost my ATM card, missed my ferry, torn up my toe, messed up my car rental arrangement AND was almost conned by a slick cab driver I'd too be complaining. xD
Complaining? I love that the recent videos have been more realistic. Instead of the wonderful music and scenery, we have seen the challenges that happen while travelling. Overcoming the language barrier, transportation schedules in different countries, money/banking issues, I have been through all that! You learn and grow from these challenges.
You are one of the few youtubers who still reads comments. I love all your videos. please NEVER get discouraged by the negative comments. thank you for all you do!
I can’t believe how little you complain with all you encounter in a day (that’s almost everyday) you’ve both got a wonderful attitude and you handle every obstacle with grace and humour ❣️❣️
I like seeing the things that don't go according to plan or are frustrating. That's the reality of travel. Not every moment is the most amazing thing that ever happened to you.
Don't listen to negative comments.... In life thing go wrong all the time. If you guys had a bad day, complain all you want... it keeps the story/journey real.
One great blog. You show us all the real way things happen. Things always happen, you allow people to see the things do happen. I am a traveler and every so long things go wrong. Anyway keep blogging, I always love you entertaining and fun blogs.
I know this is an old vlog - but just wanted to say that I really appreciate it when you are authentic! Travel isn't all fun and games, and when you share the bad stuff as well as the good it provides a learning experience for us all, Please don't sugar coat your experiences - we are all (mostly) grown ups and can deal with real life!!!
I love watching your travels. I do not see you guys as complaining. You are just showing how it is when you travel. Not everything is always going to go as planned. Some countries are more difficult to travel than others. You two are doing a great job!
The beauty of your vlogs is that they show the good and the bad. Being full time travellers means there will be some bad times as well as good. Whoever said you guys are whinging too much obviously isn't a true follower. We want to see everything that happens not just all the good times. Cant wait to see the rest of your adventures especially Patagonia and the Galapagos!!!
Your allowed to "complain" especially with everything that has gone wrong, but I dont think you complained at all. Your doing exactly what you said giving us your honest feedback which I appreciate. Keep up the great work!!
As the founder of Patagonia, Yvon Chouinard once said, "The word adventure has gotten overused. For me, when everything goes wrong - that’s when adventure starts." With that said I can't wait for the awesome Patagonia vlogs!!!
I have noticed on this flight as well as several others that you do not show any meal service. Personally, I think that is an interesting part of any flight to see the differences between airlines in their food/beverage service. Being a former airline employee, I do enjoy your showing the various airlines you fly along with the interior of the aircraft as well as enroute scenery so thanks so much for that and thanks for another great video.
as one who have backpacked thru the world (albeit not as many cities as y'all), I think your content should include both the good and bad, happy and sad parts of your life. We all know life is not always sunshine and roses, that said, don't think it needs to be a "reality tv show" constant drama either. So, FWIW, make it real, but most important, enjoy and safe travel!
I don't feel like you guys are complaining. To me, I feel like this year is more of a "realistic" travel experience and I am learning from your mistakes. You guys are awesome! Safe travels! 💜
Ignore the haters. I thought it was a good idea to show that not everything works out as planned. There are too many fake happy vloggers out there that only show good but that isn't reality. Keep vlogging the good and bad times!
I wouldn't say you've been "complaining" per say, but you can't sugar coat everything. If something goes wrong it goes wrong and you can't pretend "it's a rainbow when it's clearly a storm." Either way Im still inspired and if i ever get the chance to travel this beautiful planet I'm taking notes from your lessons. I can't wait to see where you guys go next after Argentina!
I have loved watching your vlogs and wanted to take a moment to say that I appreciate you showing the not so nice moments of travel. I love that regardless of the situation, you both bounce back and love each other through it.
dont mind them kara and nate...life is not a bed of roses...there is always bumps in every event that happens in our lives...travelling is not always good experience there is always bad thing can be happen...in short lifes is not perfect...your not complaining, your just telling whats really happen.take care always...looking forward for all your travel vlog...your fan from vlog 1 til now...😊😊😊
Hard days are natural....then, we appreciate good days more. By showing us the tough days, you are showing us reality of travel and life in general. If everything is rosy all the time, it does not feel natural. As long as you are healthy, everything else can be tackled with your amazing travel 🧠 brains!!👍👍
Remember last year people complained because they thought you guys didn't complain enough and were just sugar coating everything. Don't give too much weight to comments like that.
You guys need to come to Canada!! So many great cities here. From the west cost in Vancouver to cosmopolitan Toronto to the French Quebec City to the east cost of Halifax. Come in summer though. LoL
Hi! From your future, I hope you've realized by now that most of your followers appreciate that you're sharing your lives and adventures as they really are, instead of brittle, false cheerfulness. Well, that's how I feel, at least. Thank you for sharing your travels!
I love the true travel experience! Thank you for honestly sharing! I truly am interested in the hassles and worries and problems a traveler might encounter!!
Honestly, I love that you show the good, the bad, the ugly, and the amazing of traveling. You have EVERY right to complain; just likes all of us do. Continue being you guys because we adore you like you are. Those others making those comments are the real complainers. If they think traveling is like a fairytale, they have a rude awakening coming. 🙂👍❤️
Love your vlog! Tavel around would is not an easy thing. I appreciate you both very brave and positive, and share travel tips to the viewers! Thanks a lot!
Great job this year as always!! You are showing the reality of travel and I love it! We just got back from Patagonia and know you will find it amazing. Oh, you get extra points in my book for being honest in your videos. Showing the real stress of travel between the both of you is the real depiction of life as EVERY couple experiences rough days no matter how strong the relationship is because everyone is human! Stay the course!
My husband flies with Air Canada 🇨🇦 every week... has long layovers... and yes I entered for your pass. Fingers crossed as it would be an epic birthday present for him. You both are awesome ✌️
Y'all have had some crappy luck this past month. Only advice would be to Nate... you need to carry around a Snickers bar or two. When Kara gets hangry I just think of those Snickers commercials where people act like divas until they get to eat. Hahaha. Fingers crossed that Patagonia is amazing for you two! I've got 10 days planned for my trip next year. Curious if a 200mm lens will be enough power for some good wildlife shots.
I wouldn't say you're complaining. I just can't believe you're so disorganized for vlogging travelers. It's not like you're new at this. They say confession is good for the soul. THANKS for being honest and real and sharing with us what to do and what NOT to do!!! 😊😊😊
It’s not like you were complaining about anything related to the countries, you were just sharing (or complaining according to some people) your bad travel experiences with us, and there’s totally nothing wrong with that! I am very grateful for all your videos. It’s really eye-opening for those who are unable to visit these countries. I’ve been watching your videos from the beginning since last week, till this current video which I am commenting on. And I am going to continue watching them, trying to catch up to the up-to-date video asap.
I know I'm super late and I noticed everyone feels the same way I do. You guys are NOT complaining a lot. You guys are keeping it real. Ignore the people telling you guys otherwise.
Things go wrong. It is nice that you are upfront about it. There are pros and cons to travelling and as a viewer I would like to see both sides. Great videos. You make me want to go places I would never think of.
there are more airlines that have this type of 'odd seeming' routes. KLM has a Singapore - Bali DPS route. It's called a fifth-freedom flight and is often used if two destinations that are close(ish) together can't have a route of their own (a 'thin' route), or if the aircraft needs refueling to get to the second destination (possibly due to take-off weight restrictions).
NeverNotFlying Refueling? Makes no sense. Air Canada has a flight between Buenos Aires and Toronto, I don't see why they'd need to refuel, especially in Chile.
No, Air Canada uses what is called triangular routes: _Toronto -> Buenos Aires -> Santiago de Chile -> Toronto_ as well as _Toronto -> Santiago de Chile -> Buenos Aires -> Toronto_ I flew on same route as Kate and Nate in 2016 using Air Canada because the one-way flight cost $115 US and more plush (777-300 with inflight entertainment in every seat) than LATAM which uses smaller A320 and charges $600 US for same one-way route. Very extremely popular with tourists. After we landed in Buenos Aires, everyone, yes, everyone disembarked. I didn't see anyone staying behind for the flight to Toronto.
Enjoying the mountain shots from the plane! Yay for the lady from the tour company picking you up at the airport so you didn't have the hassle of the last few days with buses/taxis!! Yay! Also, don't worry, hiking boots are overrated. 😉
Clearly I’m late to the game. Started following you in the last year wanting to see how you use points for travel. I’m still terrible. decided to start from the beginning and see your journey.. it’s so great to join you on your travels and see how you have improved your videos over time.. couple of observations. Don’t apologize to complainers, complaining about your supposed wining.. they probably wouldn’t make good traveler.. I would have been much worse. And I noticed a lot of “we’re getting a later start than usual”.. you start when you start for what ever the reason - I’m just glad to come a long.. travel days may seem relaxing - they are exhausting.. I think these 2 observations may have changed since year 2 but wanted to mention and thank you for all the adventures. Now I got to go get my priority pass.. Hope this doesn’t mess up the algorithm for you
I know this has nothing to do with this video but I think you guys said you're going to Bolivia in another video. Just a south america random tip when you cross over and get your visa you could need a lot of stuff - multiple passport size pictures, bank statements, yellow fever vaccine, fresh US bills, etc... Lots of people had lots of headaches for not having this.
First time I have commented on RUclips...I love your adventures...please continue to keep it real pitfalls and all. I am living vicariously through your travels and looking forward to retirement so I can do the travel thing, too!
i love you vlogs it shows true experiences that happen . if it was all great all the time it would be a false reprentation . i kinda liked the fact you show if you have a fight . it would be hard being together 24/7 and not being able to have space. you are both so sweet
You guys are awesome. We are going to Peru next month and looking forward to filming it all! Thanks for sharing so much with us! I’m sure it isn’t easy traveling as much as y’all do
Can't expect it all to be perfect. I enjoy the bad and good. It's enjoyable that we get to see the ups and downs. Even your downs are minimal. Kara just doesn't talk on camera and you looked a bit stressed. Not bad considering the troubles this month.
I enjoy every moment you bring on camera, the good and the bad, it just makes it realistic. :) would nott say you are complaining, you are just saying what is happening, same as you are not praising (or showing off) with the good stuff. Good luck and keep up! Hope you will come to Croatia again someday. :)
Really enjoyed this travel vlog - thanks for sharing your experiences! Thanks so much for sharing your travels - it looks amazing there! Me and my partner are just about to start out adventures of full-time travel - we can't wait! Keep the vlogs coming! :) x
Agree with what others have said. We, as viewers, want a REAL travel experience when watching your channel. Not like other channels, who turn off the camera every time the ugly/stressful/unhappy side of travelling comes up. Definitely keep showing both sides of the coin!
I don't think Air Canada does this weird flight anymore, but when they did this, it would be a Toronto-Santiago-Buenos Aires flight, and then the reverse for the return trip. Looking at it now, they now fly to Buenos Aires via Sao Paulo from Toronto and Montreal.
It quite common in Argentina. Air Canada flew BA-Santiago together with KLM. Air France flew BA-Montevideo. Qatar Airways and Ethiopian fly BA-Sao Pablo. And Emirates flies BA-Rio de Janeiro.
also try to find "FraNui", they are like chomps but instead of ice cream they have strawberrys and i think cream too. u can find them at the same place where u got the ice cream in bs as "rapa nui", they are all over patagonia. AND alfajores, u can't leave argentina before u try them out.
Guys yesterdays vlog almost had me in a panic attack...lol..if I found myself in your place I would freak like no tomorrow...having a bit of a bad day?Pfft understandable...I would have taken my bags and gone back home ...so ya...don't have to pretend like its all sunshine all the time...stay real!
You're not complaining...This is real life!...By sharing your mistakes, mis-steps, real life mishaps, you're actually helping those of us who will one day travel where you've been...Please don't hide the real life stuff
I think it's great you are complaining. For someone who wants to travel, it helps them to know and understand where things go wrong and how to plan for it better so they can have a great experience!
Best way to change money in Buenos Aires is is to look for the guys on the street saying "cambio, cambio". You can barter for your rate and get a better rate than the atms give especially if you have big bills for them. A fun experience. It used to be the only way to do it back when you couldn't use foreign credit and debit cards in Argentina and the gap between the official exchange rate and the blue dollar was huge.
Traveling can be stressful! I dont mind hearing complaints here and there. I would like to see the "real", not just the good stuff or making the bad situations, which will happen, out to no big deal. Its a big deal at the done so please continue to show the real deal. Thank you!!
Kara & Nate, the trolls will reach you at some point of your travel... Just ignore them, they just need to justify their jealousy. Put on a big smile and think to yourself 'I'm here but you aren't'. Cheers! 👍
Oh god! I didnt know you'll come back to buenos aires! I hope you enjoy Patagonia is beautiful, I wish you happiness and safe travels. I dont know by now if you still here or will come back but you I very recommend to see this documentary: "bizarre foods, Buenos Aires, Argentina" here in youtube. There you will learn about some gastronomic experiences in bs as that you cant miss. And I recommend try "sanguches de miga (Sándwich)" and "tostados". Love your videos!
The flight you guys took is a fifth freedom flight which allows an international airline to fly between two countries that aren’t its own. Like air Canada operating SCL-EZE
What?!? 1. We don't think you guys are complaining at all. 2. Traveling full time out of one small suitcase a piece with your spouse 24 hours a day isn't for amateurs or the weak of heart. You two are gracious and you make it look easy!
I have to agree completely. I just started following you two (I follow "Lost LeBlanc" and subbed your channel after your Bali colab. I am now watching your vids in order) and am not sure how you pull off the 24/7 with your spouse AND full time travel/Vlogging. VERY impressive!!!
Ah, you got to fly on one of those very rare fifth freedom flight! Fifth Freedom is where an airline from a country that isn't in it's home country, like Air Canada, is able to transport people from one international country to another international country as a fare paying passenger. I flew a Fifth Freedom route myself back in 2018 from Vancouver to New York JFK on Philippine Airlines. The flight was about five hours, but I got a full meal, something you can't get on a flight the same duration in the States!
I couldn't blame you guys for the situation you 2 were in. I would feel the same too. You 2 been having so much bad luck lately. It seems like South America is harder to get around with the transport and a lot more inconvenient. :(I'm looking forward to seeing your Patagonia Vlogs :)
I remember Nate talking about that travel book that inspired him to start your adventures. I am reading a very interesting and funny biography of two Englishmen who travel across England. They start their travels each only in a pair of underwear. It's called George Mahood, Free country: A Penniless Adventure the Length of Great Britain. I think you guys will like it. That is when ever you have a free minute in your busy days. :)
If people are saying your complaining (which your not) your just showing the real side of travelling with real problems that you overcome thats the joy of watching you both! x

The way nate looks at kara is unbelievable. You can tell they are total high school sweethearts. And doing what they love!😍
If I had lost my ATM card, missed my ferry, torn up my toe, messed up my car rental arrangement AND was almost conned by a slick cab driver I'd too be complaining. xD

It is good know it is not all rainbows and unicorns. You two are awesome. Kara makes everything sunshiny. Keep doing you! Hugs from Muskoka, Canada

Don't worry about the complaining. I agree with you Nate, it's a true travel experience. Anyone who says their travel had no hiccups, lies like a rug!
Air Canada? That’s weird, are you sure it’s Air Canad...
“We just learned our flight is delayed....”
Never mind. Yup. It’s Air Canada.
Ian
Toronto.
Ian Hay this made me chuckle lol
Ian Hay dude air Canada is great I flown 9 times never disappoints
Ian Hay well put🤣🤣🤣🤣 atleast they weren’t at Pearson or they would’ve been delayed another hour lol
Truth

you not complaining Nate. dont stress about that

Amazing camera shots and editing around the plane!

I’m sure it isn’t easy traveling as much as y’all do
I enjoy seeing all aspects of your travels, the fun and the tough. It definitely makes it real and relatable! Love your videos! :)
Can't expect it all to be perfect. I enjoy the bad and good. It's enjoyable that we get to see the ups and downs. Even your downs are minimal. Kara just doesn't talk on camera and you looked a bit stressed. Not bad considering the troubles this month.
Can't wait to see the Patagonia vlogs! :)
Excited for you and your Patagonia adventure ! 😎
That room! Wow! The lady who picked you up seemed nice. I can't wait to see what you two got up to in Patagonia!
Kara and Nate I appreciate you keeping it real. Carry on. Complain or rejoice! I am here because I enjoy your videos and travels.
You ARENT complaining too much.._you gys arent rbots, go ahead gripe if you want to.._if anything you guys are to happy!!
I can't wait for Patagonia! definitely like these videos the best when you go on adventures!
AND alfajores, u can't leave argentina before u try them out.
raspberrys*
Thank you!!
Editing with music is great
Kara & Nate, the trolls will reach you at some point of your travel...
I CANT WITH THE WAY YOU PRONOUNCE BUENOS AIRES😭😭
The flight you guys took is a fifth freedom flight which allows an international airline to fly between two countries that aren’t its own. Like air Canada operating SCL-EZE
What?!? 1. We don't think you guys are complaining at all. 2. Traveling full time out of one small suitcase a piece with your spouse 24 hours a day isn't for amateurs or the weak of heart. You two are gracious and you make it look easy!
+Bob Nease the encouragement is always appreciated!
I have to agree completely. I just started following you two (I follow "Lost LeBlanc" and subbed your channel after your Bali colab. I am now watching your vids in order) and am not sure how you pull off the 24/7 with your spouse AND full time travel/Vlogging. VERY impressive!!!
Love you guys .. keep up the great work
They are a lovely couple
Air Canada? That's rather strange.
Nice video's! loved the color contrast near the Lake with Kate standing in front.
Welcome to Air Canada!
That's because the flight was probably from Toronto to EZE with a stop-over in Santiago-SCL.
I love your travel videos guys, it makes me see the world through your eyes. Travel for me :)
Awesome video, Air Canada operate Toronto-Santiago-Buenos Aires so that's why :)
The flight was about five hours, but I got a full meal, something you can't get on a flight the same duration in the States!
always fun to watch
The flight you were on is actually the second leg of its full journey from Toronto to Buenos Aires
Waiting for the Patagonian adventure!
I like it totally real......I know it’s years later after this was vlogged.........but truth is better than fake fluff!!!!!!!
I couldn't blame you guys for the situation you 2 were in. I would feel the same too. You 2 been having so much bad luck lately. It seems like South America is harder to get around with the transport and a lot more inconvenient. :(I'm looking forward to seeing your Patagonia Vlogs :)
I like seeing the raw and the real
I remember Nate talking about that travel book that inspired him to start your adventures. I am reading a very interesting and funny biography of two Englishmen who travel across England. They start their travels each only in a pair of underwear. It's called George Mahood, Free country: A Penniless Adventure the Length of Great Britain. I think you guys will like it. That is when ever you have a free minute in your busy days. :)
