Great video! Very informational! I'm 14 and I've been diagnosed with Autism since I was 2 and I've had speech and occupational therapies for over 12 years. I have high functioning Autism and I've always had an obsession with cars and I have exhibited tons of hand flapping and rocking back and forth and other stims throughout the years. I still rock back and forth slightly but I don't really hand-flap anymore. One reason why I got diagnosed was because when I was born, I was born 5 weeks early, and I was tiny and really light(for a baby) and I was also in the hospital for two weeks because I didn't eat and they would have to put a feeding tube into my nose and that was miserable. I was seriously underweight for years and I still am to this day even though I finally hit the three digit mark last year with my weight. I also am bone-skinny(literally, if you grab onto my arm you can feel the bone underneath the skin) Also, when I first started talking, I would say the full word but then I would say less and less of it and that was concerning because I could have become non-verbal. Here's an example: I would say yellow, then yelldow, then yell, and it would go down from there. But luckily because of the speech therapies and me getting diagnosed, I'm in a much better spot now than I was back in 2010 when I was diagnosed. Also, mentally I feel like I'm in a better spot too because when I was in 6th grade, I had the grades and I was old enough physically, just mentally, I wasn't really ready and I was really stressed and I had a hard time. But when I virus hit, I know that it was a hard time for a lot of people, but, and I don't really like saying this but that time really did help me out because I didn't have to really interact with anyone and I matured a lot during that time. Now, I have a lot more interests. I am still interested in cars(main stream cars though and the versions that people actually buy, not super fancy versions and I like to help people buy cars), and I also like buses(school buses, motor coaches) roads(like highways, for instance) and I am also into photography and videography as well. I also have been learning more about the LGBTQIA+ community(my sibling is part of that community. They are non-binary and they go by they/them pronouns and I also am an Ally, which means that I support it but I'm not actually a part of the community), fire alarms, elevators, and more! And a few months ago, I graduated from Speech, which is great! I also used to have OT sessions twice a week but now it's only once a week and with a group. I'm so happy I've made all of these improvements and I hope to improve more in the future! 😁

As an Autistic Senior, I can give you a light of hope. As I got older, I learned more on how to adapt, compensate, and accept. I learned some of my Autistic traits are a very valuable asset. (I became a very successful Technical Writer in the Biomedical field.) Too many people feel their ASD Diagnosis will crush their dreams or give them limitations. The more you become self-aware of who you are, what your challenges are, and what your true potentials are, the better your chances of having a happy future. Interestingly, when I was growing up, there was no such thing as "Autism" or "Aspergers". It was all "Mental Retardation." I too was extremely "thin" as a child, my wrists, forearms and biceps were all the same skinny size. I looked like a Q-tip. My Senior year in High School I weighed a HUGE 87 lbs. So there, I can relate. But again, I had to look backwards and revisit my life during my late diagnosis. What I learned is how much (even then) I subconsciously masked, compensated, adjusted, and pushed on. I am very confident, given your self-awareness, if you keep a positive view of yourself, you will have a great future. Just remember; challenges are not walls, they are simply something we our creativity to get past.

Our granddaughter struggled in school, not academically, but with aggressive behavior, meltdowns, not following instructions, disrupting. Thank goodness in 3rd grade her mom moved and within a few months the new school asked if they could test her. She was diagnosed with autism and an IEP was implemented. So instead of being punished for her behaviors they work with her and counsel her. Tremendous improvement. We are extremely grateful.

I wish my mum saw this video when I was young, so she would've seen the signs earlier. She knew a few of the signs common in people with level 3 autism, but that's it. She saw that I was different and people brought up autism, but it took her a while to accept that. The things she noticed but ignored were that I never made eye contact, I never interacted with my peers, I have an unnaturally strong obsession with dinosaurs, I only toe walk, I struggled to learn basic life skills, and there's a few more that i forgot. When she learned the signs of level 1 autism she realized I needed to be tested. I actually have level 2 autism though. I turned 17 two days ago and I still have a lot of the signs I had when I was younger. Now that I'm a teen I mostly struggle with daily tasks and hygiene. One trick I use that helps me is having a daily visual schedule, and it reminds me to do things like take my medicine, put on deodorant, brush my teeth, take a shower, etc. I have a more detailed visual schedule that lists everything I need before I shower, and everything I need to do during showers. If I'm not mistaken, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think Rob made a brief comment about Ian struggling a bit with hygiene, and I wanted to share that tip with you cause it might help Ian.

My own son has been diagnosed with adhd and autism it’s sad to say that they adhd is his Achilles heel not the autism he is beautiful and I want to give him the building blocks to not only accept and be proud of himself but to learn how to cope with his challenges first and foremost and it almost makes me cry that you took the time to educate so I can learn better how to help him build those blocks he’s not disabled he’s wired different and trying to see from his eyes and having people willing to share their own experiences is insurmountable to my ability to do that. Thank you again.

Took me 7 years of fighting to get my son diagnosed. Because he doesn't present "typically", I was told many times because he doesn't have "meltdowns" he can't be autistic.
Finally I found a social worker who believed me. She pulled a favour with a colleague and had him assessed that week. He was diagnosed with L2 autism. Frustrating as he could have been in free therapy for years.
I think as a parent, you know when something is going on with your child. Don't let professionals gaslight you. Trust your gut!

    • @JonBrase
      @JonBrase 11 месяцев назад +1

Thing is, meltdowns aren't even part of the diagnostic criteria (at least under DSM V, maybe they were earlier).
That said, depending on exactly what his presentation is, super-early intervention may not really have been necessary. The stuff a childhood diagnosis would have helped me with probably could have been addressed as late as my mid teens.

I found this extremely helpful; thank you. My son is 3 and speech delayed along with limited fine motor skills but has made progress with speech. However, he has very few stimming, repetitive or sensory behaviors so I constantly question whether it’s autism or not (though he was diagnosed, the doctor said to get him all possible options for treatment from insurance). The most frequent is probably that he flaps his arms when excited. Looking at frequency, consistency and the combination with other factors is a great way to start to figure it out. Thank you.

Thanks for this channel. I am learning a lot by seeing the variety of behaviors in your wonderful children. I certainly admire your family dynamics, your love and commitment to one another. My ex husband is now 66 years old and was never diagnosed autistic, probably because it was rarely diagnosed back then. His parents took him to specialists, but there was no real public awareness of autism in those days. In fact, when I married David, neither one of us had heard of autism. It was only years after our divorce, when I began to study early childhood education, that I started to realize my husband had autism. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to work with a few children on the spectrum. I only wish I had known something about autism when I was married to David. Maybe I wouldn't have jumped to some very erroneous conclusions.

One thing I’d add though is that many autistics don’t have these classic traits like flapping and toe walking. Many stim in very subtle ways and just seem hyperactive as they sensory seek or scared/shy/fussy if they avoid.

I agree that not all autistics exhibit "classic" traits. I am self-diagnosed (seeking a formal diagnosis now), and when I remember myself as a child, I recognize that some of the things I did were stimming behavior. But because I was aware that it wasn't normal, I tried to keep it as secret as I could. But I would get so embarrassed when someone would notice and ask me why I was doing it. I tried so hard to fit in and be "normal", and I still try to day (at age 59). I am so exhausted!

Thank you! Just discovered your channel, very interesting. Still waiting for my own assessment. Still learning more too.
On the “what is autism?” question, and “what causes autism?”, I was digging a bit more. To summarize the hardest evidence that I could find so far (but please always take with lots of grains of salt!): apparently there are a) genetic profiles with a number of gene variants that appear with significantly higher frequencies in autists b) that doesn’t mean that people with a “fitting” profile automatically have autism c) apparently there are a few (or one?) genetic mutations that cause autism with intellectual disability, which only a low percentage of autists have. Also noteworthy is that in men, the way gametes (sperm) multiply over the lifetime of the person, the older the person gets, the more mutations accumulate in the gametes. And age of the father at conception has been identified as a factor.
The genetic profiles would help explain why autism is a spectrum.
One hypothesis (!) about the “causes” that I find interesting is that children that have a fitting genetic profile may turn (parts of?) their autism profile on through epigenetics while they are in the mother’s womb, depending on external factors, like the stress level of the mother. This would explain a lot, but I believe there is still a lot of work to do to prove any of the hypotheses.
Sorry if I am stepping on anyone’s other hypotheses here. I am just excited to share the possible, but of course unproven mental picture that helped me a lot in conceptualizing the autism spectrum.
So, if this conceptualization has some truth to it, then it would also help explain what autism could be: a naturally occurring phenomenon, where the person on the spectrum has a certain set of traits that are helpful in some ways but unhelpful or even a barrier in other situations. So, one way to deal with it is to put people on the spectrum in situations where they can use their traits to their advantage, and where they get help when they need to overcome barriers. I have seen autism (and btw, ADHD as well) been described in this way by Psychiatrist Dr. Annie Swanepoel. And, even if we all want more proof, this concept makes a lot of sense to me, and I find it helpful.

I'm 60+, so when I got all what I have, there was no name for it. I got chicken-pox with all the trimmings when I was like 8 years old, and after that everything broke out. Bad. Really bad. But it got better as I grew up. I never bothered to get a diagnosis, though, and the MBD or DAMP certainly didn't encourage me. Wouldn't have made any difference anyways for me. I've had a good life. I did really good in my profession (thanks to my Asp, prolly). I guess I have ADD (light), Asperger (light) and TS/OCD (kinda bad) but, again, I've had a good life. Been single all my life and have no kids but I don't miss that. That was partially an active choice of mine.
So, cheers to your boys! They're not alone and they're not "odd" although some thinks so. And, most of all, there's nothing wrong with them! Let them develop as they choose!

P.S, during my infancy, it’s apparent I regressed within my development, but then I’d also progress then go static and then progress. I also had problems mixing with others and I often isolate though I’ve improved a lot since and apparent I’ve shown traits of being autistic (mild) though to look at me now and to see how independent and capable I am, not many would realise there has been things wrong with me until they get to know me better. When someone gets to know me, it would appear they notice certain traits like how I can repeat myself and I can be slow to understand, and it can take me time to register and taking information, and therefore, things have to be explained to me in far greater detail at a slower pace as to, I can find too much, extremely overwhelming where I become frustrated.

Autism is so complicated, especially when you start to work with health providers. My son was misdiagnosed with ADHD, it took a lot of work from the wife and I to find the right professionals that eventually got him the correct diagnosis. Occupational therapy, speech therapy, and everything that came afterwards has worked and shown improvement.
Those of us “parents” with autistic kids learn to spot other kids in social gatherings with autistic traits quicker than most professionals by using the methods you communicated in this video.

The DSM-5 Manual is a "Guide", not a "Rule Book." It is not uncommon for a person that ultimately is diagnosed as Autistic to have been mis-diagnosed several times. Common misdiagnosis; ADHD, Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder. It is always wise to get a second if not third opinion. Parents should read the DSM-5 and be prepared to "challenge" the clinician to support (defend) their diagnosis based on what is "Observed", what is "Opinion", and what is "Statistical."

Hello, I’m 54 and extremely capable of a lot including how independent I am, though I have had to struggle through life very much on my own in relation to my family relationship which is totally separate to the subject. I understand. However, I’ve shown traits of autism/Asperger’s, been a slow learner. The typical signs I have shown in particularly during my infancy, I had a condition if someone said something I’d repeat it several times. I’d often put my hands up to my head and face and go onto a world of my own. If the slightest sound or anything scared me or sudden change overwhelmed me, I’d suddenly go in to a huge meltdown where I’d start screaming, thrashing around, pulling my hair, biting and attacking anything, or anyone in my way and sometimes my meltdowns were not always known the cause off. I’ve gone through life if I’m having difficulty undertaking a task, I become extremely frustrated in a short space of time. As an adult I become extremely frustrated easily, how I still cannot take too much in at a time and become extremely anxious. I’m also known to have difficulty concentrating. Having said that, and on the other hand, I have turned out to be extremely independent including how I’ve been cooking meals since I was 10 years old and younger given the chance. I’m also known for having a very very detailed unique type of memory where I can remember events in great detail et cetera. I’ve also got a profound musical talent and other great interests and I have grown to be a big strapping lad. Doctors were of the opinion I would be helpless by the age of three or four years of age which is complete nonsense as I am the total opposite again, I have shown several signs of autism and or spergers.

My doctor brought up maybe I could have ASD. I see her for ADHD to which I can absolutely attest. It's hard because I do some things, but I live on my own, I can let "obsessions" or control issues go, and I do things like stim, have insomnia and anxiety but it's just tough to know if it's ADHD or more. I don't like crowds or waiting in line but if I have no choice I can integrate. It's just hard to know any differences, I suppose this is why there are specialists. We got to talking about this because most of my issues are centered around social interactions. I told her when I think of socializing, I think of it as a performance act in a way. I read books on and study communication because I think communication skills are at the heart of success whether it's financial or relationships. But I am also moody etc so I can at times be distant, or non talkative. One thing I have heard a lot in my life is people say "I thought you didn't like me" because of my general brooding nature. I do better in structured socializing, like talking to customers or employees where there are certain expectations and standards

I have always hated having people touch or even hug me. Plus certain fabrics make me itchy like crazy. I don't like crowds of people. I prefer to work with dogs than people. But what most people I see is they believe every person on the spectrum does the same thing. I have to tell we all don't do the same thing. We are like everyone else. Our autism effects each of us different. We are not machines. I have referred people to watch your videos when it is to much for me. I have even been told that people on the spectrum have a certain look to them. I laugh inside. I was wondering does certain smells give any of your boys bad headaches. I also have epilepsy. Thank you for your videos.

I have autism and anxiety but with my autism I do a lot of stimming when I was first diagnosed with it I think I was like 5 but I had some OCD traits with lining up candles in a line and playing with them when I was officially diagnosed and with it when I was at my high school when my special education teacher would talk to me I would not give her eye contact or if I wanted to talk to her about something I could not communicate with her what I needed when she asked me what I was wanting to talk to her about so she would like get mad at me for it and then count down from 5 and if I did not answer her then she would grab me by my arms and remove me from her office and take me back to my actual class the school almost ruined my future with getting a job with vocational rehabilitation they described me as a wild animal at the school and a lot of the behaviors I could not help and I understand that other behaviors I could help but I am glad that I am not dealing with those teachers anymore and I still don’t give eye contact I just look away from who talks to me and the school I went to we had this thing that they did before Christmas break and it was my senior year so last school year it is called battle of classes and they took that from me as a consequence for me not carrying my behavior folder around when they said that I would not have to carry it around after we went back from our thanksgiving break they switched it up and said they said after Christmas break so they just were mean to me at the school except for a few of them but just glad to be away from the teachers who were mean to me every day

My grandbaby boy is autistic. He has had all state testing and my grandbaby is 5 yrs old now and he has had therapy in home since 9 months old. I knew something was happening with him and immediately called Early On through Easter Seals in my area. My grandbaby's father refuses to believe he is autistic and the father refuses to help. Examples are, Loud Noises, textured with food or materials, weather, shoes, eating is extremely difficult. Routine has to be spot on, people he meets and does not like right away scares him to death and he hides, rocking so hard and the just back and forth for long period time are some things but not all. The father tries to stop him from all of these things. He took him to Monster Jam and scared my grandbaby out of his mind, monster jam is s loud!! My daughter packs ear muffs for visits for loud restaurants the father takes him to. The father and his older daughter tickle him and clap and yell at my grandbaby on visits...its so sad 😞 My grandbaby is the sweetest little handsome guy. How can a father do this? My daughter struggles to keep my grandbaby with his routine due to the absent father's denial when the father has visits. The judge with parenting time refuses to listen as well. Any suggestions please? Thank you 😇

When I was younger (before I was diagnosed) i would do this thing we autists call trex hands where we just kinda hold our hands up to our torso and let them hang, and I've been doing this ever since i was little. My step mom at the time would tell me to "stop doing that, you're making fun of autistic people". Oh little did she know...I have a lot of other symptoms too (tip toe walking, spider fingers, melt downs, many different types of stims, getting agitated in "danger" environments, becoming unaware of surroundings due to lack of stimulation, hyperfixating and more) but she never really noticed because I was a girl :P I'm an adult now and I've learned to mask, so a lot of people would never even guess
Oh and btw i still do trex hands, they can't be stopped. I did manage to repress it for a while to save my image around my step mom but now i do it freely...at home at least

Absolutely wonderful informative video. We were unsure wether my youngest son has autism too. He spoke a few words and is very sociable. However, the stimming, the hand over ears, language delay, sensory seeker. All of these combinations proves he has autism like my eldest. He stims a lot less (spider fingers) than his older brother but the eldest does not places hands on his ears whereas my younger one always has hands on ears. It's so complex and hard to really understand. But we believe they are both on the spectrum. One question, have you mom and dad ever considered getting checked if your on the spectrum?

Our Son has autism but this past school year has been rough. We are concerned he has OCD too. We took him back to the person that diagnosed with autism to see if he may have OCD and she didn't run test on him like they did with the autism. They pretty much just did a consultation appointment and updated his Psy eval. I know behaviors can come and go but he's seems to be regressing or refusing to doing things for reasons he previously didn't worry about. For example refusing to walk down the hallway, he wants to be carried. Not using his hands wants you to touch things for him.

You have a duty not to give it to his royal demands. Does not want to go down the hallway? Well, you go and eat nice icecream yourself, and let him watch from over there. Or - grab him by hand and drag across and do it three times, not one. Wants you to touch things for him? Are you his servant? Refuse.
What kind of parenting do you use.... The child does only what you allowed him. Period.

My son was recently diagnosed ADHD. We’ve been having behavioral problems with him since he was little. He didn’t start talking until he was 2yr 5m old and he didn’t like looking you in the eye. We thought for the longest he had a bit of a hearing problem before we’d call his name and he’d just ignore us. I just brushed it off as him being too focused on what he was doing. He would like to run back and forth in the house and twirl around and around. He’s extremely picky eater and always has been. Now he’s 6 almost 7 and his school has been saying he’s acting different from the other. He currently attends a private school with his 8yr old sister who has ADHD. But even though they both have been diagnosed with the same thing my son acts completely different. I have to pack him the same exact lunch daily and if I change anything he has a meltdown. If I pull him away from what he is doing, which is mostly wanting to play Minecraft, he has a meltdown. He throws himself on the floor and repeatedly moves his foot up and down, and gets on his knees and swings his arms back and forth crying as we try calmly him down. I can tell you 10 things my son eats and that’s it. We have to give him multi vitamins and protein supplements just to make sure he’s getting enough nutrients. When he watches tv(Minecraft) shows, he will stand in front of the tv swinging his arms back and forth and then twirls around spinning. We are getting him reevaluated because we feel like he may have more than just ADHD. his sister which has ADHD is mostly just extremely hyperactive, and acts completely differently. I just feel overwhelmed because I took my son to get checked when he was 4 and the people spent five minutes with my son, and told me that he had no issues. Now I have equipped myself with video footage of my son behaviors so I can show them. My son loves to go up to children and try to make friends, but he always comes out extremely awkward. And if he gets blown off he gets so emotional and throws another meltdown. He now looks at me in the eyes a lot more than when he was a baby. That has gotten better. But the tantrums are hard. His picky eating is hard. When he throws a tantrum because he gets pulled away from what he’s wanting to do or a change in a routine at home or in school, it can be hard. I’m really suspecting he has more than ADHD and may be a little autistic. We go in March for his evaluation. I just want to know how to help my son.
My son doesn’t flap his hands though, he swings them back and forth repeatedly. When excited or upset. We just want answers and to be heard. Also he has incredible memory and knows exactly where his favorite toys are. He can name every construction vehicle. Knows about every monster truck and tells you everything about Minecraft. That’s all he talks about.

There is a branch of that called Neurofeedback that has shown a lot of promise for helping children and adults with adhd and autism. You’re doing such a great job with your kids. Stay away from psychotropic medications those things are really unsafe.

I personally feel recommending "Treatments for Autism" in video comments is a dangerous path. There are still people declaring in various Autism sites and channel they have "cured" their child. Some even have videos on Netflix and Amazon. I cite activity in 2019 "Private Facebook Groups urge parents to poison autistic kids with chlorine dioxide to "cure them" [ref. NBC News]. Be it Facebook, Twitter, or comment sections on You Tube, desperate people with an Autistic family member may blindly buy into ANYTHING.
I can see alerting people to current studies by legitimate institutions where parents may access factual data. I continually seek out and read current research data. I also travel throughout the internet seeing "what is out there." It is astonishing and shocking the amount of "snake oil" information being pushed and the number of people willing to use their child as a "Lab Rat."
We all are looking for things that can better our lives and the lives of our loved ones. Things that can help with certain behaviors and challenges can be a wonderful thing. However, we are all unique. What works on one, may not work or even have negative effects on others. So although I am sure your intentions are good and honorable, I would be cautious with the term "Treatment for Autism", as it can imply "cure". These are strictly my personal feelings and perspectives, based upon what I have witnessed retrieving legitimate research data.
For the record, there is interesting, legitimate research being done on influences of the gut microbiome (including fecal transplantation) and the potential relief of some Autistic challenges. A very good source of current research can be found by typing in Medical adding Xpress, and you know the extension. Look for "Autism"

Hello. I am new to this channel. So my son has ADHD, and an intellectual disability, so I don’t know if those are separate, I did try to get him tested for autism, but he shows no sign of autism. We just recently found out a year ago, that he does have ADHD, and a mild or borderline, intellectual disability, however, we found out that my great niece she’s gonna be too, and she’s a real cutie, she is considered high, functional autism, she just found out, well, my niece, my older niece is her mom, so the little baby makes my great niece. And so she’s about to turn two in January, she’s getting speech therapy right now, And I think she’s going to be partnering up, with Westside regional center. Which is actually where my son gets his services out of as well. Westside regional center for his ADHD, and borderline intellectual disability. So I was just curious, what should my niece expect? She is seeing a professional that’s why I said she’s going through speech therapy, but it’s her daughter that has the diagnosis of autism. I noticed that my little niece, the baby is fixated on this TV show she loves to watch Yo Gabba Gabba and I don’t think she really has an interest to watch anything else, I don’t think she likes the texture of oatmeal. I know that we try giving it to her and I don’t think she was too fond of that. She likes eggs. I think she likes potatoes. But I know the oatmeal she didn’t really care for it. I don’t know if she walks on her tippy toes or not, but she just started walking, I want to say in June, late June of this year, or something like that she just started walking, she is I think now I want to say she’s either 20 months or either 19 months because she turns two in January at the end of January 202024,.

I have a question: so one who has ADD ADHD BPD HSP and had an open TBI where the skull was busted open brain fluid leaked and left frontal lobe is dead just scar tissue can all that mimic and have similar symptoms a autism? If the person had most of this before TBI but 28 years later what would be considered autism traits are worse with age, can all this just mimic autism?

In my house I usually mask my autism because my parents aren’t that supportive with me having autism and I was wondering if you have any tips because I always have the urge to stim and sometimes get overstimulated but just hide in my room and not tell them and I don’t know what to do. Then at school I stim a ton and have meltdowns because I don’t mask at school since my parents aren’t there to laugh at me or yell at me. Any tips???

Hi sweetheart ! My son will be diagnosed this month.
Im sorry your parents arent supportive. Did you get an official diagnosis ? And if yes, maybe they are just in denial...sometimes parents are just really worried for the future of the child and act as if autism isnt there. Wich is harmful obviusly.
I saw it on my son since he was little..but for my husband it took time.
I hope your parents can learn to help you.

Autism ca be very different from person to another. I find your son's very articulate it terms of speech. May be it is because of the early helps and therapies they've had. My daughter at five is still unable to articulate. She can hum melodies excise a level of self control which is good job for her but she is no where close to finding speech easy

I am wondering whether those meltdowns are actually psychoses. A recent study hypothesizes the existence of ASD-P i.e. ASD-specific psychoses. There were 112 ASD participants in the study and 28% had ASD-P. The remaining 72% were either free from psychoses or had ordinary (comorbid) psychoses that are associated with mental disorders such as BD, MDD, SZ, SZA etc. If this study is confirmed by other research I am wondering whether continual usage of anti-psychotics is necessary if the type of psychosis is ASD-P. There is also something called rebounding psychoses caused by getting off AP too quickly. Here, experts advise gradual 10% wane-off where the patient should be on a certain dosage X number of months that is equal to the total number of years on AP. Special compounding pharmacies prepare these dosages e.g. 10mg, 9mg, 8.1mg, and so on. Lately, I've heard about pretty safe combination of Buspar 15mg and melatonine 3mg that causes neuro-genesis in the hypocampus similar to major anti-depressants.

my son was diagnose with border line autism. he stim when he is excited. he doesn't sit in class and wants to play and run around. i am asked to do shadow parenting in school and i force my son to sit in one place. for good 5-8 minutes he throws temper tantrum by hitting me , scratching me and by head butting me. he settles down once he is given task (writing/coloring). but once done he once again wants to go out and run around. he is struggling making sentences. selective eye contacts. after observing him closely for last 5 years i think that may be he has ADHD or both. i just hope that he learns going to school and sits in one place so that i could focus on work.
